Apx Alarm

We had been looking for an alarm company for a couple months but not seriously. APX offered a totally wireless solution without having to install any wires, with the exception of the control panel to an outlet. All of the work was completed within a couple of hours and was able to use the system that same evening. The system is very easy to use and understand. Not much training had to be done to work the system. There are lots of features that I personally liked. The first was the wireless connectivity. I don't have to have a home phone line just for this service. Plus nobody can "cut the line" to the alarm system. I am able to make and modify the system either at the control panel, online, or with the smartphone app. The system provides a great history of any event that takes place so you can customize as many or as little information that you want to get. You can get notifications either by email or on your phone. I like being able to check the "arming" status from anywhere using my phone or any internet connection. I've had the system for two months and have not had any problems or complaints. The monthly service is just a tick over $50 a month. Which isn't too bad considering the install was basically free, except you had to pay for the main control panel and the first month upfront. I really like the system and it works great for me. I especially like the fact that it is customizable with how many notifications to get and how to get them. The website is easy to use and the smartphone app is even easier. I love the system and I definitely feel better about the security of my home, while at home or away. I didn't get the video monitoring or the emPower monitor. It just depends on your personal preference and how much you are willing to spend on your security. However, I do like that the cameras are wi-fi and just need a power outlet. Apex Security Systems came to my home 11 days ago to install an alarm system. Today, the system became inactive because the batteries went dead. I called them to come back out and take out the unreliable equipment. They refused. They said I had to continue to pay through my 2-year contract. They will continue to debit the charge out of my account every month, even though the system is inactive, and I don?t care to have it anymore. They drilled holes in the walls and doors of my home to install the system, so now I have a faulty system and a damaged home! They have asked me to advertise for them by placing their signs outside of my home, which I will not do.
