Phil's Good A/C & Heating

American Home Shield sent Phil's A/C out to my home for my service request. Tech said outside condenser unit was shot, American Home Shield sends me a notice stating I had $1185 of charges my contract did not cover. When questioned by these charges, I was given a itemized list from Phil's 1.) Electrical Line $325.00. Electrical line meaning undoing a few screws off the old units control panel and installing on the new unit. 2.) Copper Line $475.00. Translation, sweating (brazing) old copper line from the house to new copper line on the new unit. 3.) Freon $210. This is probably the only legitimate charge? Not sure? 4.) UV Protection $175. THIS IS MY FAVORITE ONE. Translation, about a 2' long piece of foam pipe insulation wrapped around the copper line going from the new unit to the house! I'm not making these up, I called Phil's and asked about these charges and this is what I was told what these charges meant. Needles to say, I did not use Phil's and I DROPPED AMERICAN HOME SHIELD after this total RIP OFF.

Phil's Good A/C & Heating is the only HVAC company I will call for work on our home!!! Thank you so much for your diligence to fix/replace our a/c unit and blower motor!!! For the first time since we have lived here (1998), the master bedroom is actually cooler than the rest of the downstairs!!! Y’all have great customer service not only in the office, but also in the field!!! Thanks Again, Jim

Tech arrived and quickly realized he was over his head. He got out pictures and kept calling his boss. He removed the compressor blanket and used a hose to cool down the compressors....compressors that had been turned off for nearly 48 hours waiting on our appt. .. in high 90 temperatures outside. While waiting on the supervisor to arrive, I sat outside on patio. While talking to my husband's surgeon about his cancer biopsy from earlier in the day, the tech ran out of the gate saying "I've gotta go! I've gotta go! They told me to leave!" No explanation, nothing! After numerous unanswered calls with no response, my husband, a disabled Veteran, arrived home to a hot house. Phil's Good AC should be renamed Phil's AWFUL AC!

Went great tech was courteous and honest.

The technician Lance arrived within the given time frame. He turned the gas back on to the furnace and advised that everything was good. The gas was not on long enough and this was the reason I did not have a blue flame. SInce Lance did not find anything wrong there was not a charge.

It went great! I had two primary concerns: 1) it was evening when I arrived home from work to find my A/C out so would I have to suffer through the night 2) worried the cost would be astronomical. Phil made it a point to get me fixed that night and he didn't overcharge me. I'm quite sure I would have paid more out of pocket had I used one of those other big name companies. Their work is solid and I'll only call them from now on.

Great! By far the best in town. He is going to get it right the first time and customer service is great!
