It went great!

He was fantastic. He worked with us on paying it out and he did excellent work. He checked his men to make sure that everything was going right. I would recommend him to anyone.

A few weeks ago we had the other company who was doing our annual maintenance come out and check our unit. He blew up my hose while trying to clean the outside unit (not sure how he did that) and then tried to sell me a float switch for my unit. We declined ($200.00) and said we would think about it. A few weeks go by and the A/c isn't cooling the house. We started smelling a burnt smell, so we turned off the A/C unit. Called the company and were told they couldn't come out until after 6pm. He finally shows up around 10pm and by midnight he has replaced our fan motor ($700.00) Yes I know we got ripped!! Then he tells me he found a plastic bad wrapped around the motor. Thinks it got sucked in thru the intake (No WAY in h*** that happened) By the next day we notice the A/C is not cooling the house, so we call the company. We were told nobody could come out until Friday (4 days later) Very angry at this point! So today Friday the tech comes out, goes in attic and checks outside unit and says your unit is bad and needs to be replaced! Gives us a quote for $9100 for a new unit. Seems off to me, due to the other issues I have had with this company. SO I called Hilton and he came out tonight about 8pm. Went up in the attic and 10 mins later came down and said it's fixed. When the other company put in the motor, he didn't wire it right! It was blowing the wrong way!! Oh and remember I said up there the first guy tried to sell me a float switch. I already had one in there!! Needless to say...Hilton is an honest and trustworthy business man. When he left tonight, we all hugged and cried. Thank You Hilton

My air conditioner went out so naturally I called our Home Warranty company. The company they sent out gave me an $8,000.00 quote. Told me I couldn't and quot;fix itand quot; because of recent refrigerant changes from R22 to R410a and unavailability of parts (mainly the leaking coil). Went on to tell me my duct work was completely butchered, my compressor wouldn't work with new air handler, so on and so forth. We called for a second opinion unaffiliated with our home warranty. They came highly rated on Angie's List. Technician was professional and knowledgeable, basically said the same thing as the first guy (also commenting that our coil was no longer available) yet gave me a quote for a little less coming in at ~$5,000.00. Both companies and quot;admittedand quot; that a lot of the cost was from $99/# for Freon. Each said that was the going rate these days. My unit needed no less than 10 - 11#, so we were looking at no less than $1,000.00 just in Freon. I finally called Hilton - my dad's A/C go to guy. He came out the next day (Saturday) and told me all I needed was a new coil. He called the manufacturer to check availability... no problem. He went on to mention that Freon was only ~$40/#. He did tell me that parts were only warrantied for 1 year and suggested that I replace the entire air handler so that I'd gain the benefits of a 3 ton upstairs unit, a dual system coil and a 10 year warranty. Eventually my old compressor is going to give out. When it does, R410a will be the refrigerant standard. This dual coil would work with my current R22 set-up, yet be compatible if and when I need to replace the outside compressor. His quote was $2,600 installed. Done and done. He came out the next day with his crew and worked for 4 hours. Couldn't be more thankful for his honesty. Labor is guaranteed for 2 years, parts 10. He works weekends and did everything he said he was going to do. Actually came in $100 less than his original quote. It took us 10 days to finally call Hilton. We wanted so badly to believe that our Home Warranty wasn't trying to screw us. Unfortunately not the case. We have an A/C man for life.
