S-N-S Remodeling

He never showed up. I was told that there was a family emergency and they would contact me later. It never happened and no one contacted me after multiple phone calls. I was left very disappointed. :(

i called and spoke to karen on the phone regarding our potential project. she said she would have a same day estimate ready for me when her husband came to visit the property. though he did arrive promptly at the property, we never received an estimate from the company. i gave up after several days of 'i think it will be ready tomorrow' responses on the phone. we are still weeks later and have not received an estimate. how could anyone trust this customer service? they lost good customers.

What went well: . Initial estimate & explanation of job What went poorly: . Professionalism - Dan indicated he doesn't like to sign contracts. I never got a signed contract for the work to be completed; though I signed all revisions of work and requested a signed contract... All contract Information was sent by e-mail (see below) . Communications. Dan's voice mail indicates he doesn't listen to voice mail. Leaving a voice mail at the office with his wife Karen is usually a dead-end as well. Dan indicated he didn't get the messages and he doesn't read e-mail sent to SNS. Only way to communicate with Dan is if he answers his call phone. . After confirming a demolition start date with Dan multiple times, I get a call 1 hour before the start and Dan indicated he could not start. And then after a song and dance he pushed the blame back to me... While Dan's work may be ok I would never do business with the company!

We will not use this contractor and have gone with a different contractor that is far cheaper and professionally submitted a bid based on facts, and not off the top of his head like SNS Remodeling did.

they are still in the process of completing - I would say about another week - Dan said 6 to 8 weeks when quoted, but the City of Pasadena was a little slow with permits - Dan is a great guy - he and his subcontractors do excellent work - he quotes jobs a little untraditional - writes what he is going to do and then a lot price - which the homeowner can find prices on Angie's list and see if a deal is a deal. so far we are very pleased with SNS Contracting and would use them again and refer them to family and friends.

.Arrived on the first day with a large crew. By the end of the day, one bath was ready for tile with all plumbing rough in done. Tile had not arrived so they had to come back after a few days to complete bath. Their tile guy, Manuel, does excellent work. He completed the tile work in 2 days. We had delays due to ourselves because we went with a different cabinet maker. We wanted custom cabinets with Silestone countertops and Dan was not able to provide what we wanted. We had a delay due to us and not S-N-S. Once cabinets installed, the plumber came out in a few days to complete the job. Joe, the plumber does excellent work. We had a delay in the other bathroom because Dan went on vacation. This is something that we were aware of and was prepared for it. While waiting for Dan's return, they painted 4 bedrooms. They did a good job. Three of the rooms had considerable trim to be done. Once Dan returned, they jumped on the other bathroom like the first. Tear out was done in a day and was ready for tile when they left. Dan worked with us on this bath because we had other contractors involved in this bath, too. We used others for the cabinets, Silestone countertops, and glass shower enclosure. Once the work was completed by the other contractors, S-N-S came out to complete the plumbing and small punch out list. This remodel took approximately 1 1/2 months to complete. This length of time was mainly due to us using other contractors for parts of the job and not S-N-S. It would have taken them about 2 weeks if all materials would have arrived on time and if S-N-S had been contracted to do the entire job. Dan was helpful with the purchase of paint and tile and Manuel (tile) and Joe (plumber) do excellent work. I write this review a year after the work to confirm the work was quality. We have had no problems and would use S-N-S for another bathroom remodel.

Took the day off from work so I could meet with the contractor to discuss the master bathroom renovations. They never showed us as planned and did not even call to advise us they would not be coming. If this is indicative of the type of customer service they provide, would not want them involved in a renovation project.

The owner and his helpers (6 in total) did a wonderful job in just 3 days. The result is everything I could ask for. The caring the owner gave to my job makes me want to have him redo the whole house. I would definitely recommend them.

Dan and his crew were simply amazing. I don't think I can accurately describe how good these guys are. The combination of attention to detail and efficiency was truly impressive. Dan promised our entire project would be completed in two weeks and he delivered, much to my surprise. I was concerned that he would either not finish the project in the promised time or sacrifice quality to get to his next job. I was proven dead wrong. His carpenter did an incredible job designing and building our built-in entertainment center. Everyone who walks into our house is blown away. I would hire Dan and his crew for any remodeling project in the future.

I am very happy with the results. They arrived each day to work between 9 - 9:30 am. They stopped work around 5 pm. Each day they cleaned up. They would put their tools and unused materials in the garage each day out of the way. They cleanup the work area before they left each day. The workmanship is impressive. I was particularly impressed with the tile work around the tub. Beautiful work. All of the work was professionally done. We were stuck on some of the colors of paint and tile. Dan had samples of tile, grout and paint to help pick out colors that would look great together. We are very happy with the results. Dan would stop by each day to see how the work was going. He would resolve any issues that came up. The vanity arrived damaged. The box that it came in did not have any damage, but the vanity inside was damage. Dan took it back and made sure the one he picked up was not damaged. There was no discussion. No crisis. He just made it happen. The vanity faucet would not work with the vanity top we had picked out. Again, Dan went and got one that would work that was very similar to the one we had picked out. He just made it happen. Not a crisis or big discussion about who was going to do what. I will use SNS Remodeling again when the time comes for the next remodel. I would recommend them to family and friends. Again, we are very happy with the work.

They did a good job and they're very quick. They did the job in about two week's time. He said that Angie's List had really been good for their business.

Dan did a very nice job remodeling our mstr bath, took care in protecting floors, walls, etc. did demo in 1 day, tile, paint, plumbing and clean-up in 4. Kitchen was re-tiled and now looks great.

Dan was quick to respond. He came in for a free estimate. Once he started working he laid out paper and drop cloths to protect other areas of the house where they would be creating traffic. Everyone on his crew was very friendly. They gutted the bathroom the first day and finished the bathroom four days later. They did a good job making the bathroom look good. They cleaned up after they finished the work.

They did a fabulous job. Their price was extremely competetive. Daniel Shannon was able to provide photos, as well as taking us to a home he had remodeled. We have recommended this person to all of our neighbors. We could not recommend this company any more highly. He restored my faith on contractors in my home. He was here when he said he'd be here, and he would give calls to update me if anything needed to change. His crew was just fabulous!

we added to the job at the last minute due to an unforseen emergency (disaster). Our 200 gallon aquarium cracked and flooded our home. His estimate to complete the new job was two weeks. Me and my husband were skeptical at first. However we were pleasantly surprised to see it was completed within the time frame, even with a little hick up. We loved working with Dan. He is sincere and is very proud of his team. He loves to brag on them and admits they have been working for him for 15+ years. They all do a great job, from the flooring guys, plumbers, carpet guys and tile guys. The tile guys add their own flair with the tile design. He came up with his own creative design with the tiles I provided and I was amazed. The most impressive thing was that Dan contacted me, the wife, to make sure I was satisifed with the work each and every day. I told him some things I didn't like and they made the changes I requested the very nexy day. He made sure I was pleased everyday. We are now going to paint the remaining rooms in the house and do a kitchen remodel. We wouldn't think of calling anyone else. Dan is now our man for house projects.

I received an email to set up an appointment and request for our information. I responded with the info they wanted and got nothing in return. No phone call. No email. No response whatsoever.

They were okay, the guy was good not as he thinks he is but he's good. They're on time and it's within budget.

Dan and his crew were very prompt and worked very hard and completed the job ahead of schedule.

I did not use the provider therefore it did not go.

Dan Shannon was very helpful and professional with the work we needed done. We are remodeling our master bath and found that the wood behind the sheet rock had previous water and termite damage, some of the wood was completely gone, and it was not stable and could be easily shook. Dan came in and gave a very fair estimate and explained exactly what needed to be done. He came to do the work when scheduled and it looks fantastic! He took out the damaged wood and put in new wood. Everything is stabilized and ready for the next step. We will definitely call him in again if we need help!

Our experience with them was good. At times there were three guys and mostly two guys out there. Their price included all the materials and the work.

Dan and his crew were great. They got a 5 day job done in 4. They replaced all the tile on the shower walls, installed new tile on the floor, new tub & new vanity top including a sink. They also replaced all the faucets & repainted the walls. The only criticism I had was I wish I knew I could have picked out my own toilet. I will see how the one the plumbers picked out works out for the near future. His price was very reasonable also. I would rec these guys for sure!

It was a wonderful experience. I really appreciated that he did a lot of searching and found the soapstone that I really wanted instead of trying to sell me on another kind of stone. Furthermore, he did an excellent job of managing the subcontractors, and everyone was always on time and ready to work. He also was great at keeping the area clean and free of debris.

Initially, having made a request through their website, there was no response. However, following up with a phone call resulted in a prompt visit to assess and quote. Mr. Shannon "talks a good job" - which might put some people off. However, the work carried out by his team was very good, and the job was completed in the time given, and at the agreed price. We would have no hesitation in recommending him to others.
