Rolltex Shutters

We had the folks from Rolltex install storm and hurricane shutters on our home. We interviewed and received quotes from several vendors and we checked references, the BBB, Angie’s List, etc., but it our experience with the Rolltex team that convinced us that they were the vendor of choice. Plus we were impressed with their showroom and how Elena and Maria worked with us on pricing, answered our questions, and continued to communicate with us. Prior to our decision Juan Jr. and his Uncle arrived onsite and went over the installation. Juan Jr. also answered our questions and encouraged us to contact him directly if we had further concerns or questions. One of our major concerns was the electricity to operate the motors for the shutters. Juan Jr. took the time to explain how and where they would get the electric and that we would not experience any collateral issues but if something should occur then they would resolve it. They called the day before to confirm our installation and the team arrived on time. They worked through the day and finished the job the same day as promised. They took the additional time to guarantee all testing was complete and that all of the shutters operated, plus ensured that we were completely satisfied and happy with the product and their installation. We have never experienced storm or hurricane damage in the 35 years we have lived in our home but it was time we mitigated the risk. These shutters also function as security for our home when we are away on a trip. They are managed either individually from a local remote control or can be managed remotely via a mobile application from a smartphone. Rolltex is a family business that knows how to treat their customers. They work hard to make certain their customers are satisfied and happy with the product and their service. We are proud to offer our reference for this company and plan to engage them for future business.

They were not able to come for just over a week. When they did come, the job went well. They were late arriving, but they showed up and did the job. The shutter works, so I am satisfied with the work. As far as the price, I feel it was high, but they were the only ones who came out, so I have nothing to compare it to.

The installation of the shutters went well. Maria and Elena work in the office. They handle the phone calls and were a pleasure to work with. Felix was the installer and he was very knowledgeable and professional. Felix and an assistant showed up at the scheduled day and time and everything was installed as planned. There were no problems with the original installation and all shutters worked as advertised.

They did a first class job. Everything they said that was going to happen happened. They came out with a three-man crew. They were incredibly efficient. When I looked at the work from my perspective, I thought "Wow, there's no way this would be a couple of days job." They came out and said that they were going to be done by noon or slightly after lunch. They showed up at 9 and I said that they can't finish that. But they are so efficient and so organized. When they go to work, they just have this bound that I would not believe. The next thing I know, the shutters are up which was unbelievable. They all worked and I've never had them back. They looked good. They did a really good job. It was not shocking and their work is very professional. I would recommend these folks to anybody anytime. I would definitely recommend them to my friends.

They were very good. They were attentive, the price was good and it was installed on time. They came when they said they were going to come and did the job extremely well. It was a simple job and they were very attentive when they were doing the job because they had to be careful with the plants around the windows. They were very good and I will have them back again to do more work, in fact the name signifies it all. They have actually given me a quote for the roller blinds and we are just saving up for that.

RollTex came out and measured my windows and gave me an estimate. The shutters were the color I selected and were installed on the date specified. The installers were professional and courteous and neat (no mess left after work was complete). I shopped around several companies for rolling shutters and RollTex was by far the least expensive. I did not make a note of the date but about 5 years after installation two of the shutters needed some minor maintenance; they would not roll up and down. Rolltex was out and repaired them within a couple of days and repaired them for a minimal charge ($110) - and once again were professional, polite, and neat. Excellent service and they take care of their product.

Rolltex showed up on time and the repairmen were professional and courteous. They returned on a later service trip to install the motor, and I didn't have to be there. They still owe me a lever crank, but I have no doubt that they'll send it to me. I will use them again if I needed, and would recommend them. Their office staff is also very friendly.

We contacted Maria Lopez with Rolltex to get an estimate, and she went above and beyond to assist us not only with getting what we wanted but also in placating our somewhat over-intrusive Homeowners Association. She even went to the trouble to have actual metal shutter samples sent to us so we could get a better understanding of the look and feel of the product. The shutters were all custom sized and their shop handled the fabrication work to deliver superb quality metal shutters at a reasonable price. If you want cheap, mass produced shutters, look elsewhere, but if you want high quality materials and superior service, these guys will do the job right. When the day came for installation, Rolltex sent two vans and a four man crew led by a gentleman named Felix. These guys worked their tails off from 10am until after 6pm in the worst heat of the day to get the installation completed, and Felix still took the time to show us how everything worked when they were done. After all the sweat, I expected these guys to do a quick clean up and leave, but the also took the time to vacuum everywhere, and they made a point of taking off their shoes every time they came in the house. My wife and I can't say enough good things about these folks. We have been extremely pleased with the quality of of the product and the services provided.

They worked up two estimates for us depending on whether we wanted electrical driven shutters or manual. Then they came out and did a very careful measurement. Then, we had to wait about 4 weeks for the shutters to be custom made. They came out on time, they finished in the time they said they would. They were extremely clean the whole time. Everyone was nice and courteous. They were among the better workman we've ever had doing jobs around the house.
