Richard and his crew are professional, prompt, and easy to work with. I have used his company in the past, and I choose him for this job because he does what he says he is going to do and follows through with his quotes. In addition to the landscaping in the beds around the house, he bought some large pots for our front porch and planted some beautiful flowers and plants in them - very creative the combinations he chose! He will come back and quarterly and do maintenance on the landscaping. Although his address shows his location in Pasadena, his warehouse is off of I-10 and Bunker Hill. He does a lot of business in Memorial, Tanglewood and River Oaks.

Looking to build a series of raised bed vegetable gardens for our family, we had conducted significant background research with friends and family, organic gardening magazines, the internet, and horticultural organizations in an attempt to identify a design that struck a common sense balance between the latest state-of-the-art environmentally responsible farming techniques and maintenance-friendly affordable construction. After a detailed job scope and several rough designs were sketched, we contacted RF Raymond Landscaping to bid the job. RFR was very responsive, contacting us within 1 day to schedule an introductory meeting. Richard accommodated our work schedules and agreed to meet in the evening. At that meeting, Richard was an excellent listener, particularly in light of our extensive job requirements, and diplomatically made well-articulated suggestions to fill in gaps where our design overlooked important aspects (e.g., such as grading and drainage). Review of the portfolio of his previous jobs built our confidence that he was a highly professional contractor who paid attention to detail and created quality work. In areas of vegetable gardening where he was less experienced, he showed a positive attitude by expressing eagerness to do more research off-line in order to make practical recommendations. His bid came back within the time he quoted, further convincing us of his integrity. Although the cost first seemed a little high, we later estimated the cost of time, materials, and labor and realized he was asking a fair price. We ultimately selected another contractor based on their more extensive experience with vegetable garden construction, but to be fair and quot;gardenand quot; beds are not Richard's main focus. RF Raymond Landscaping is clearly versed in all aspects of exterior landscaping and hardscaping, and we do not hesitate to recommend him to others. As a side note, we are also constructing an outdoor patio and kitchen with another contractor (who does not do landscaping). It turns out our patio contractor used RF Raymond to do his own home's landscaping and gave Richard a very high recommendation, too.

It took a week for a return call. He hesitated to bid the job because it was so small. He bid high, but I needed it to be done. When we made a deal, he was punctional and showed up with a crew and performed the work in a little over an hour. Orgional bid was $850. I inspected the work only to find that they did not do one tasked requested (remove plant growing between patio and foundation) and they buried one of my soaker hoses for the foundation, and I had to uncover it. I notified them of the two problems and until this date, I have not heard from them.

The job went well and there were no problems.

He's very conscientious and reasonably priced. I can depend on him and he does a good job. I've used him for six years.

We are very pleased with the work done by R.F. Raymond Landscape and highly recommend them. The quality of all their work was superior and surpassed our expectations. It looks great. From start to finish, Richard was very responsive and offered workable and reasonable suggestions to all our questions. No doubt we would call them back for work in the future. After having a pool and a backyard full of old broken flagstone removed, we hired R.F. Raymond Landscape. They helped us to design the layout of new stamped concrete for several patios and walkways. We were concerned about the color selection and Richard worked with us until we found a color that we liked. We were especially concerned about water that used to pool around our front door. They installed drains from the house to the street with a maintenance collection basin and strip by the foundation. We had to ask them back (after we had made final payment) to expand the collection basin that wasn't catching all the drip line from the roof--not a problem they came out and did the work right away. No more dragging hoses around to water what our old ineffective sprinkler system was missing. We now have the best irrigation system in the neighborhood. One of the reason why we initially selected R.F. Raymond Landscaping was because they offered more services that other companies did not do. They did some masonary repair of two brick walls, repair/relocate/install an antique fountain and coordinate with an AC company to move a compressor.

After careful survey, planning and drawing up plans for the design and relandscaping, Richard's crew worked fast and was very professional. He took our ideas and likes and included them into a great plan and now our house, front and back, looks amazing! He worked well within our budget. He was extremely busy, with his crew working on a showcase house, so they had to fit us in around this already scheduled project. But, there was no long wait. The results were better than I imagined. I would definitely recommend contacting Richard to give you an estimate and work on a plan that meets your budget.
