Miller Pools

They called to say that they could come earlier than expected. The technician was very thourough and explained each probable cause that he was investigating. Ultimately, he was able to get the heater running again by cleaning debris from inside the heater. The unit is 12 years old. He said that it was looking good for that age and did not try to sell us on new parts or systems that are not yet needed.

The work was done in an expeditious manner and the site was left clean.

I was happy with them, very happy. Trust made me go with them.

They come out every week. I pay $250 a month. They clean the pool, check the chlorine levels, clean out the filters and check to make sure the pumps are working properly. Right now we are going through a bad spell with them. They are quick to get back with me. Right now, it is mostly the guy who has been coming out to service. He does not always do what he is supposed to.

I have dealt with this company for over 10 years and have been their customer exclusively. Over the last year, the quality of their service has declined to a point at which it is not acceptable. This past year, they have made multiple attempts to correct the leakage of diatomaceous earth (DE) from the filter into the pool itself. However, instead of warranty repairs, they repeatedly charged me to correct what they failed to fix in the first place. In the end, they never found the root cause of the problem. I hired another company and they found a completely different problem, which they fixed on the first try. The decline in service was manifested also in a nearly continual change of service men. We would get used to one person, and he would be gone in a period of months – or weeks. It was nearly impossible to set up a consistent schedule. Often I would have to clean parts of the pool that the service men did not clean. I fired this entity recently. On doing so, I received a response of “ok”. You’d think that the proprietor of an establishment that I’ve paid nearly $200/month for 10 years would have made some effort to retain me as a customer. He did not. I would not recommend Miller Pools to anyone under any circumstances.

Poorly. When I asked for an appointment, the operator got snippy. You know what they say about first impressions, don't you?

Wasted my time and my wife's time

Did the work fine. Didn't seem interested in helping with clearing the pool up so my end result would be accomplished.end result=having a working pool.

Because my previous provider became very unreliable, I had neglected annual maintenance on the filters for my DE in-ground pool. That neglect led to the DE material eventually blowing back into my pool. Johnny at Miller Pools gave me great free advice by phone on removing the DE and promptly scheduled a service call. Armando arrived on time and efficiently located and corrected the problem. He was friendly, patient, and generously answered my questions about his service and provided excellent advice for improving ongoing pool cleaning and general maintenance, which I perform. I was very pleased with the service I received from Miller Pools and Armando in particular. I have recommended them to my neighbors and will use Miller in the future when I need expert assistance.

.I got several bids on the filter, and Miller was the highest, but because of recommendations from others, we decided to go with Miller. After a really ROCKY start we finally got the filter installed and pool cleaned. It is probably best to start talking with Johnny and ask to speak with him all the time. Less confusion when dealing with one person. Your chances of speaking with Mr Miller himself are not really good. Just stick with one person, Johnny. Time will tell if I use them again.

We had another company take a look at the our system because the filter had no pressure. They said that we would need to replace the motor and all of the plumbing around it for around $1000. My husband did some looking and found that Miller Pools had a far better price on the motor and comparable price on labor. Gary arrived in the time frame that we were given, took a look and said that the motor sounded fine and he would recommend just the plumbing repair. He was finished in about an hour as promised.

It has been good so far. They come on a weekly basis. The do the job they are hired to do, we are pleased with them. They come on time and get it done.

They were scheduled to come out on Friday, but made a courtesy call to tell me they would not make it. I SO appreciate that call so that I did not sit at home waiting for them. They arrived on Monday during the scheduled time and repaired - not replaced - my pump. We have used them for monthly cleaning and other repairs. Such a friendly. responsive, and cost efficient company. Highly recommend them!

The services kept getting worse and worse. Reported my Polaris was not working so they took it into the shop and had it 3 weeks and it still worked the same way. The crew that completed my weekly service broke the part of the Polaris where the filter bag attaches and did not tell me or even offer to get it fixed. They sent a gentlemen out by the name of Johnny who was on the my original crew and he even stated that they were not cleaning the pool properly. Had green algae on a regular basis. Didn't not schedule my DE filter to be cleaned on the annual basis as promised.

miller pools and 1-800-plumber were excellent in working together so this job could be done while my husband was not here.

The company was extremely helpful in getting a paster supplier to speak to me about the stains on a newly plastered pool.

Miller Pools recently remodeled our 25 year old pool and did an outstanding job. From start to finish Michael Miller was involved and informative. His crews were professional and hard working. Cost may not be the "cheapest" in town but for the amount of service provided and ease of working together it was well worth it. You get what you pay for. Michael provided a great proposal with breakdown of costs to help determine our choices. We went with a full remodel consisting of coping, tile, plaster, decking, and patio concrete. He provided full turnkey service including water stabilization. Pool looks great. Can't wait for warm weather to take the plunge. Thanks Michael to you and crews for a job well done. The work and the service were outstanding!!!! Miller Pools came when promised. They did all of the work promised in a high quality manner. They cleaned up afterwards. And they actually came in below the initial bid price.

Miller Pools is a wonderful company to do business with. I am an EXTREMELY picky person and I have NO complains or problems with the work performed my Miller. They have cleaned our pool for many years and do an outstanding job and when we needed a replastering job done, we did not even get another bid. We knew Miller would do a great job and most importantly they would stand behind their work. Michael Miller is a hands on owner and his team is so easy to work with. We would never hesitate to recommend Miller Pools for any work to our friends and family. Try them----I can assure you they are worth it!

UPDATE-After going through several different contractors, and dealing with rampant unprofessionalism, I decided to go back to Miller Pools and request their services finishing my pool. Looking back, I think it was their commitment to doing it "their way" that gave me confidence that it would at least be done well and in a timely manner. I can understand having a certain way of doing business, and although I most likely would have different choices, I can respect that. Michael and his team did an excellent job, and the pool came out great. Recently had a pool contractor steal $10k and run off without finishing my pool. I called Miller pools to come and finish the job. My pool is very small, more like a large spa actually. All that remained to be done was to install the pool equipment, pumps, filters, etc., and the plaster. Before I contacted Miller I got three different estimates for the plaster the highest of which was $3000. When Miller finally responded they quoted me $14,000!! So even if plaster was at the high end, they wanted to charge me ten thousand dollars just to install my pool equipment! Their quote also included some higher end features that I didn't require. When I informed Miller that I was interested in a somewhat simpler design, they informed me that they were not interested in my project. As far as I see it, there are two possibilities: 1. They overbid the job hoping to get as much money out of me as possible, or 2. They didn't want the job because it didn't allow them to build in all those high end features that will bloat the profit margin. Either way, it's no way to treat a customer. I'm sure they build some very nice high end pools, but cost is a factor in your project, this is NOT the company for you.

What I got was a quote for a pool heater and not a quote to do the complete job. Unsatisfied with the messaging responses, I went into the store and asked if they could work up a "complete" bid. By complete I mean heater installed and functional. They asked for more pictures, which I sent, so they could get an estimate together. I sent the pictures on October 12th and promptly got an email reply that they would have the bid together as soon as they heard back from the plumber. Today is October 27 and I am still waiting for a bid. I've had several other pool companies give me quotes in a matter of hours but I'm still waiting on Miller Pools after 2+ weeks. With service like that, I plan to stay as far away from Miller Pools as I can!

Excellent service from both service technicians and from the office. Gary (service tech) was extremely helpful and gave me very valuable information about my system ( I am new to the house). He helped me troubleshoot my pool lights and a leak around the pump, even though i only called them out to install the heater. Heater installation went quickly and they made sure i understood the controls before leaving. I would highly recommend Miller pools, very professional and knowledgeable team.

Work was completed satisfactorily on planned time schedule. Miller personnel and subcontractors coordinated their work together very well undered the close supervision of Mr. Michael Miller, Miller Pools owner. The old wall fitting for our Polaris pool vacuum broke in half when I tried to remove it, leaving one piece stuck inside the pool jet. Prying it out only seemed to be damaging the jet, so I called Miller Pools (as well as Leslie's and others) to find the earliest repair appointment possible. The Miller rep basically explained how to remove it myself, saying that the pool tech would basically do it exactly the same way. With that knowledge I was able to replace the wall fitting myself, saving me the cost of a service visit. I really appreciated their professionalism and will use them next time I need a repair.
