Thank you Krystal for being so understanding with my daughter's mental health issue and not being unable to go to your office to make her payment. Your response to her was absolutely disgusting! You told her you were going to remove the glass that was installed. Your text was completely inappropriate. I will never use your company and make sure I tell others the same. If I could post pictures of your text on her I would.

Description of Work: Johnson glass means well and ultimately did a good job in the areas that they do well- outer windows in my case. The ultimately part refers to the fact that they had to make 5 trips out- first to measure windows, second to install (wrong size even though measurements were fine), third to install again for newly made windows - I have bronze glass on the outside and an arched window (can't flip inside to out) and this window was made with the bronze on the inside. Fourth to install the newly made bronze window which was incorrect again. And finally install that window with the bronze properly on the outside. They are always willing to correct any error but there were just too many in my case. | |I had also contracted them to replace glass in my french doors. To my dismay, I found out later that this is actually a kit and you can't just replace with straight glass. It looked horrible. Johnson made good and split the cost with me to just cancel the work. I went with Reed door works who performed that last work (on my french doors) flawlessly and without the hassle. I would recommend Reed for any additional work

DO NOT WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!! Worse customer service I have EVER experienced. We are a small church in Sugar Land that hired them to remove our entire buildings windows and install new windows. We were told the removal and install would only take 2 weeks once the windows had been fabricated. We are now 2 and a half weeks in and the job is not complete. I called and spoke to the owner, Linda Johnson about issues that had arisen during this job. 1. The crew was smoking in and around the building and the entire building smelled of smoke. We also had to pick up cigarette butts out of the children's playground at church. 2. The job was only supposed to take 2 weeks and as I said before we are 2 and a half weeks in and the work is still not complete. 3. We are losing revenues from the rentals we usually have in our building due to the delay in the work being completed. 4. We were told we would only have to do minor touch ups such as painting around our windows and we now have to replace flooring and drywall because we originally had 6 inch wide window frames and the new windows are a 4.5 inch frame. We are now looking at 10K in remodeling fees for the work they left un-done..... 5. We are two weeks in and the windows are still not sealed from the exterior which has allowed humidity to get in the building and has caused issues with our musical instruments. When I addressed these issue with Linda she said she would speak with her project managers and get back to me by the end of the day or early the next day. It was almost EOD the NEXT day so I called to speak with her. She told me the crew would be out the next 3 days to do work on the windows. I asked her if that would complete the work and she said she couldn't guarantee that but they would try. I told her someone who works for her had spoken with another person at our church overseeing this project and said only the lower half of the buildings windows would be completed not the top. I tried to get info regarding when the rest of the job would be completed and she immediately called me a liar saying the person who I said had spoken with the other church member was out sick and wouldn't have done that....I asked her if that was how she spoke to all clients and that I was surprise she had been in business for 28 years if she did. SHE THEN HUNG UP ON ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called back and she said she would see me in court. I told her it would be best if we received a bill for the work performed and the cost of the windows so we could take our business else where and she continued to verbally berate me and hung up on me again! She told me she would get me the info I needed, meaning what we owed for work performed thus far and for the cost of the windows, and she never got my email or fax number to send that to me before she hung up on me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THIS IS THE WORSE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!!! And now our church has to figure out what to do......

Overall it went fine. The disappointment was that they have to order the glass cut by the manufacturer after they come out and measure. This ordering and cutting process takes a minimum of 7 days. In our case for some reason whether it was a bad measurement or a bad cut by the glass company, the first piece didn't fit so they had to send a second set of measurements and we had to wait another 7-10 days. I was happy that they acknowledged the piece didn't fit and of course didn't try to make it fit either but when you just spent a fortune having your bathroom done and the crown jewel is your new shower and it takes a month to get the glass completed before you can use it it was a bit frustrating. They were the lowest bidder and the quality now that it is done is very nice.
Description of Work: Measured, ordered and installed frameless glass for new bathroom shower.

Window was scheduled between 9 - 12. It's 1 and no call from the service guy. We called the main office and they were rude about it. We canceled the service and we will use someone else on Angie's list. No excuses.

Everything was fine. The final thing came in a little bit lower than the estimate that they had given me over the phone. I was lucky because it only broke the outer pane of glass and it didn't break the inner pane. It wasn't like I had to get out plastic sheets and duct tape. I was very pleased with Johnson Glass. They cleaned up after themselves. $300 for a pane of glass sounds high but I do understand that they have to send two people to do the exact measurements once and they have to send a truck with two people on it. They had to climb the ladder in the townhouse because my kitchen is in the second floor.
Description of Work: I did use Johnson Glass. There was a freak accident during a ice storm in front of my house. Some debris from the accident flew 100 feet and broke a second floor window. The guy showed up and replaced the window. It was a 24 x 32 double-glazed low emissivity pane of glass.
