Could not state what was causing the issue, opted to suggest replacing all the electrical components beyond the location where power could be detected. The issue was most likely an electronics problem, but the Tech could not determine the specific problem. Bidded +$800 repair charge. The was rejected.

+ -1 moreCurry Appliance is the only place I will call. I call them whenever one of my large appliances is on the fritz. They are always polite and professional on the phone. The service technicians are always prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. They often have to order parts as my large appliances are all older, but they are able to find parts and fix them. Thanks to Curry Appliance, my 35 year old washing machine still washes.

+ -1 moreOur double wall oven quit working on Thanksgiving. Since the lights were still working we knew it wasn't a tripped breaker. We called Curry Appliance a few days later. They came out promptly and advised that the over would be pulled out of the wall and if we did that ourselves, we would save some money since the framing needed to be removed. The technician did not charge us for this call and we called back a few days later after we pulled the oven out. The technician came back out. Again, very friendly and was able to determine that whoever installed the previous wall oven had hooked it up very poorly. The technician re-connected the wiring and tested it and made sure it was now working as expected. Very friendly, prompt service and fair price. Right around the corner from us and nice to know we have someone close to count on. Very pleased that we found Curry Appliance.
Description of Work: Diagnosed issue where double wall over quit heating and took the steps to correct the issue.

Description of Work: My refrig was getting very hot and not keeping food cold. Pulled out and said very dirty and over heating. Said only option was new fan motor and it would be 350 and a two day wait to get part from Dallas. I told him no, I couldn't wait two more days with hot frig. The office then called and tried to explain to me situation. Plus then tried to sell me a frig. Gave me no options except 350 bill , 2 day delay or buy new frig. I said I would think about it. I took my leaf blower and simply blew the dust etc out from the back of frig. Low and behold it has operated fine since. He made no attempt to simply clean the frig, for the 59 dollar service charge. I thought this might be a good start instead of jumping to a delayed 350 dollar solution and then tried to sell me a frig. Not happy with service, more interested in selling me up both in service and products. Will not use again.

Description of Work: Refrigerator would not dispense ice. Paul came out and spent about 30 minutes troubleshooting the problem. Told me he had to replace the whole dispenser assembly because Frigidaire didn't sell just the circuit board I needed. The part was $167 plus $10 Shipping and tax. The Service call was $95. My wife thought that was high for the service call. I said he came out here two times and spent about 45 minutes here. I didn't think that was bad. Anyway, I've used Curry a few times before and have always been pleased with their service and price.

+ -1 morePaul came out and was right within the time frame that they told me. He repaired the dryer in about 30 minutes or less and even vacuumed out all of the lint that had accumulated inside of it. The price was much less than I expected.

+ -1 moreI called this particular company. They are located on Red Bluff in Pasadena Texas, which I understand is approximately 15 miles from Baytown, TX. When I told them I lived in Baytown, I was very politely informed that they do NOT come to Baytown, but I could bring in my range for repairs. Needless to say, I'm not loading up my range and taking it in for repairs. I have nothing negative or positive to report on this company. Just please be aware that their "travel range" seems to be very limited. Also, please be aware that the only reason I have given them an F ius because this system would not allow me to give them a C.
Description of Work: I have a Frigidaire gas range. The two front burners are not burning as hot as they once did.

+ 0 moreThe repair was accomplished quickly and the service was great. I now had my oven working for Thanksgiving baking and dinner cooking. It was great to have all my burners working correctly because I thought I would have to buy a new stove.
Description of Work: They were very courteous. The repairman was on time and was knowledgeable about servicing my stove. He had the part for my stove in his truck and had it working in no time. He even cleaned the burner jets on the range top which improved the burners output. I am very pleased with the service and will surely use them again when needed.
