Technician Jose was VERY GOOD. I followed him around while he worked. He taught me a lot about my A/C & Heating system, including its efficiency, function and maintenance and/or replacement. Jose even gave me good advice on other topics about my house. I will be calling Cother, Inc. again!,,

They checked the air conditioning unit, cleaned it, and did annual maintenance items.

He did basic tune-up, but he also fixed a leak at no charge. I will definitely use them again. Honest and punctual.

Called the company on 2 consecutive days when my air conditioning unit went off. Both days a serviceman was at my house within the hour. There were 2 different servicemen and both were very professional, diagnosed the problems quickly and had the unit running within 1 hour. I called this company for my son about a year ago, and since he was very satisfied I called them for myself. I will call them again and recommend them to others.

My box unit outside the house was not running. I called on Friday May 17th to get an appointment. The next available day they had was tuesday afternoon between 2 and 5. They called before showing up so I could stay at work as long as I could. First, the wiring (from the previous owners) was not connected well, and whoever had worked on the unit before, hadn't put in the correct motor so when they technician did get it running, the fan blades weren't spinning fast enough. He washed the unit sides, replaced the motor and the silver cylindrical thing (I dont know the name sorry). WONDERFUL!!

George and his crew showed up Tuesday morning, and worked until unit was functioning. Could not be happier. I would definitely use them in the future. Came back to make sure everything was working well and to install venting for furnace.

Cother Air Conditioning & Heating fixed my air conditioning and I had no problems for 17 years now. They were very thorough, patient and they answer your questions. It's always been a positive experience. They have a great service agreement a very good value for the money spent.

I would gladly call on Cother again if I need HVAC work done.

The owner himsellf came and gave me an estimate. He arrived on time and was very professionall. I had three estimates in all and their estimate was by far the best. I also checked with bbb and Cother, Inc. has an excellent record. My airconditioner unit was install on time as promised. I even received a phone call telling me that they were would be at my house in about twenty minutes and they were ! They worked very fast and were very professional and knew what they were doing. They took very special care to protedt my floor. They even taped some of my ducts that were torn and put or replaced some of the plywood under my old unit. They did this even thought it was not in the estimate and they did not charge me for this extra work they did. The owner of Cother, Inc. is Loren Cother. He started this company when he was just 24 years old. He is a stand up man and he is a honest man, hard to find these days. His employees are great also. Do your self pround and call them if you need or have any problems with your air or heating units in your house. I simply cannot say enough how great they treated me and the excellent work they did.

Arrived on time on the scheduled day. Made sure that the permits were filed on line with the city -- this was important because a crew for a rival company drove by and reported to the city office that work was being done at our address - prompting a visit by the city inspector before and after the work was completed. NOTE: no city permit for the work being done (+ appropriate fee) = shutting down the crew until the permit is obtained, this would have killed our job that day and we would have had to set everything up again (including taking another day off of work). IMPORTANT: the city inspector was very impressed with Cother Air's work and said that they did even better work than the company that he owned before he "retired" to become a city inspector (and he had high standards). Everyone on the crew was very polite, focused on the job, and made an outstanding effort to avoid making a mess then were meticulous about cleaning up afterwards.

When I woke up at 5:30a.m. this morning the house was already 80 degrees. I had seen a good review a few months ago on Angie's List so I looked to see if they were 24/7 and they were. I spent a little while trying to get the unit to come on but was not able to get it started. About 6:00am I called and the answering system said to leave a message and someone would call me back within 20 minutes. They called right back and I told them I couldn't get the A/C on and I had a Hospice patient in the house and I really needed to get some cool air. Jose said he would be right out and he was. Located the problem and was able to repair it quickly. He was finished by 7:30am and also told me that I was probably going to have to replace the unit but he thought it would last through the summer since with my husband so ill I just couldn't do it right now. When I do replace it I will certainly call Cother. I so appreciated the prompt response (on a Sunday morning no less) and will call them again.

Estimate matched the final install cost. We added the two media air cleaners which were slightly extra. Cother's owner prepared the estimate and noted we needed an additional return air grill for efficiency. This was a surprise, since other contractors did not make that recommendation. We asked another contractor about the need for an additional return air grill, who stated we were fine and gave us the formula for calculating the RA grill size. Upon researching the requirements for RA grill size, we learned that Cother was correct. The other contractor used a common rule of thumb formula that had been discredited by several professional websites. Cother did not recommend replacing the furnace, but we elected to do so since they were 14 years old and we wanted the latest energy savings. The furnace costs were minimal compared to the condenser and evaporator costs. Workers showed up on time, spoke English and were competent and professional. Four workers installed the un-working unit the first day, and the second (4 ton) unit the next day. I was surprised with the extra effort at laying additional flooring in the attic, wood covers across the refrigerant lines and the replacement of all duct straps. Workers did not mind my questions, inspections or presence while they worked. Cleanup was excellent, and they carried all old units, waste, including packing material away. I was worried about damage to our spiral staircase, but workers were very careful. They layed drop cloths and plastic runners on all carpet areas where they worked or walked. I asked for the fan units from the old systems, and they pulled them and left them for me. We have only had the units for one week, but viewing the usage reports from our smart meter appear that we are using less electricity per day than before. Our old units were Heil (Tempstar) 9 SEER 14 year old units.

Overall went well. They did not call before coming out so I had two companies show up at the same time. Initial company checked the unit and indicated that the compressor and fan were pulling high amps and that unit needed to be replaced they did not recommend any other action or check Freon level. Cother representative checked unit found high amps on fan and low Freon levels. Indicated that the fan replacement and Freon charge would allow the unit to work properly, but could not indicate how long the compressor would work since it was 18+ years old. Called and got price and availability of parts (fan motor) indicated that it would cost $400 dollars to repair fan. Elected to have repairs made and get estimates on total unit replacements. Final cost was$480 dollars for fan and $200 dollars for Freon charge. Completed repairs and unit was working. Surpised that cost was closer to $700 not the $400 estimated on Friday. $200 for the Freon charge was the difference. May 7 compressor stopped working completely, fan still works but compressor stopped and not cooling. Had to call Cother to review details on proposal which did not provide details on estimate of in kind replacement with another Trane unit, they are not a Trane dealer. Proposed a Rudd Unit.

Our central a/c unit stopped working and we called Cother to repair it. They were out very quickly, they called before they showed up, and they showed up in the time frame promised. The repair person was very patient and explained to me and showed me what was wrong with the unit and why it was it time to purchase a new one. They were out the very next day to put in a new unit and add the cut off box and a higher block. They worked quickly and neatly and I believe charges were more than reasonable.

Mike from Cother Air Conditioning came out to assess my non-functioning central air system. He arrived promptly and was very polite and professional. After doing a few tests, he accurately diagnosed this problem as a burned out fan motor in my outside unit. He gave me a turnkey estimate of $400 (including the service call and net of my senior discount!). After acceptance of the estimate, the actual replacement of the part took about 1-1/2 hours including travel time to pick the part up. While he was here I asked him to check the refrigerant levels in the unit so that, if they were low, I could "kill 2 birds with 1 stone" and avoid a potential service charge in the near-term. He was happy to do so. All in all he did a great job and I was very impressed.

They are a great company. They gave me a great deal and did great work. I really like them alot. We took bids from 5 companies and they were the best. I have a really odd sized air vents, so they bought me a box full of hard to find filters. The price was very good. When I was getting a bid for an air conditioner Mr. Cother himself came.

I had several detailed technical questions and the owner himself came out, answered them and offered us an excellent deal. The company also followed up afterwards on several occasions with phone calls to make sure we were satisfied. I rarely write reviews, but this company deserves it. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.

I found them on Angie's List. I was pleased with their service and the price was very reasonable for the service that he provided. I did not meet him personally and my son was there to greet him. I did not have the interaction with him. However, he did what I asked him to do and gave some ideas about improving my system in the future. My son told me that he came when he was supposed to come. I did not think that the price was bad at all for the overall service in correcting my problem. He corrected the problem and did not damage anything. The quality of his work was excellent. He came on time. My son did not tell me anything negative about him. I thought that he was professional in his demeanor.

Just checked heater to make sure it was working properly.

It went well. The heating unit is performing well.

I have taken few estimate .Loren Cother and his daughter Tiffany Cother came to give me estimate. I like father and daughter team they were very pleasant.Their price was fair for the system I was looking for and they were also giving two years labor warranty. Their team who came to Install Ac were very punctual and they knew what they were doing. They answer all my question which made me feel better. I am very pleased with their service and I will recommend them.

We were very pleased. They did what they said and the price was right. We will use them again in the future.

A/C was making a loud noise late in the day, and they sent someone out even though it was nearly 5pm. The technician was professional and courteous and patient, and explained everything very well to us. Sadly, the a/c was toast and not fixable, but they installed a new unit next day very quickly. They called back after both of the service calls to make sure we were happy with the service. They come when they say they will, call when they say they will, and are more than willing to explain things, and talk to you if there is a problem. I have used them many times and will continue to do so.

My central heat went out during the last arctic cold front that came through. I called Cother on a Wednsday evening and they offered to come out that evening/night. I had a small heater and instead scheduled the repair technician for the next morning. I was put to the head of the list due to temperatures dipping in the mid to lower 20's and they considered this an emergency call out. The technician was at my front door at 7:45 a.m. for the 8:00 a.m. appointment, very punctual. The technician went right to work and showed me the problem, a wire had arced loose, and quickly repaired the unit. He checked and made sure the unit was in good order and did not leave until warm air was blowing out the vents. I was expecting to pay $135.00 or more but instead the technician only charged me $65.00 since the fix was so minor. I really appreciated his honesty and willingness not to "stick it to me". Even though I would have been happy to oay the $135.00 to get the heat back on. A couple of days later, a young lady from the company called and made sure that all was okay and that my heat was still working okay. Integrity to boot ... a hard trait to find these days. Cother, Inc has found a customer for life.
