Description of Work: Replace upstairs heater

Description of Work: Replaced a capacitor on the compressor side of the A/C unit...it worked for a little bit...but the motor went out..so I had to replace the whole compressor..which was installed by another company which was cheaper.

Description of Work: I decided to join Angie's specifically because I had become frustrated and distrustful of the various A/C repair companies we've used over the last several years. Cother had favorable ratings/reviews and was close to our home so we gave them a try. They were courteous over the phone and actually called to see if the technician could come by earlier than my 3pm scheduled appointment which turned out OK. The tech examined both A/C units and determined the newer unit needed a new dryer and had lost all its refrigerant. He said the older unit had a minor leak outside at the unit. He told me it would take 3 hours to repair and recharge both units. BUT he couldn't do that today because it had to be above 70 degrees to recharge the units. (By that time in the afternoon it was upper 60's to near 70). He said it would cost $800 for the repairs and I would need to schedule another appointment when it warmed up. So a week later we made arrangements for someone to meet a technician at my house to do the repair. When the technician got to our house he called me at work to tell me we needed a new unit and acted as if he was unfamiliar with any of the other technician's estimated repairs. So I ended up having to leave work early so I could make sure he did the work that was originally estimated. On my way home I called their Office and was reassured the repairs would be made per the original estimates. In summary, although the units seem to be working, the repairs were expensive and it was inconvenient to have make 2 appointments (not to mention we had to pay twice). I was also disappointed that the 2 technicians were not on the same page. Definitely did not feel like this was a value.

Description of Work: They installed the HVAC in our newly built home in 2005, and continue to service heat/AC annually.

Description of Work: They checked out our furnace. I thought that they were checking both heating and cooling, and I thought the price was a bit high for just the one.

Description of Work: I needed a control board for my central air unit. Responce was quick. Cost was discussed before work was done. I was impressed by their professionalism and called them again on 9-10-12 to another residence. Responce was quick, and estimate was given, work was performed . I will indeed call them again if I have any future A/C problems.
