Fobbs Lawn Service

This is not a legitimate company. DO NOT HIRE any “company” dealing with ROCHELLE OR VERNELL FOBBS- landscaping or otherwise. They did not complete the work they promised, and were beyond unprofessional. They left a huge mess of trash out in our ally and never came back to clean it. One thing they were supposed to do is level out the back yard with dirt- They lightly put dirt over our back yard and didn’t pack it. Now dirt just blows in the back yard. It looks terrible. Also, they promised to aerate and seed our back yard, but didn’t and then lied and argued with me about it. There is no seed in our back yard. Not to mention, the pictures all over their website and Facebook are stock photos- not photos of work they’ve done. I was not ever able to get ahold of the “references” Vernell gave me. These people are liars and a complete terror to work with.

We hired this company on May 20th, 2016. They notified us that they would begin service on the 25th of May. No one showed up this day and I was not informed of them not showing up. I called the next day with no answer, so I texted and the "schedule maker" apologized and said a crew would be out to start on Tuesday, May 31st. Again no call, no show. Finally I received a text on June 2nd, 2016 stating someone would be here on the 3rd. Again no call, no show. I then texted the next day to ask what happened and they stated someone would be here on Saturday, June 4th. AGAIN, a no call, no show, not even a text. She finally text me and told me someone would be there on Monday, June 6th at 10 a.m. Then no one still showed up that Monday and my only contact told me to contact the person in charge of the crews. So i proceeded to call him and he apologized and said they would be out and the sod would be in by Wednesday the 8th. He also reassured me not to worry that everything would be far done by July 2nd for my son's birthday. I texted the 8th and didn't get a response til late in the afternoon and she said someone was coming to do the walkway. Still no one showed up. Some where in between all this, they partially did a walkway, but this has been going on for 6 weeks now going on 7. I am very disappointed and disgusted that they are even BBB certified. No communication and no one has even bothered to check on us or anything. They should be embarrassed to call themselves a professional business. I also had to cancel my son's first birthday party and had non-refundable deposits on entertainment and tables and chairs. I also filed a complaint with the BBB to which they have not responded to.

This company promised me twice they would be at my home on two separate occasions to remove tree stumps. My husband took off work to wait for them the first time and the second time I took off to wait. They never showed up and they never called. When I called to inquire as to their timeline I was told that never never said they would be there at that time. I told Angela multiple times that my deadline to have this work done was May 9, 2013. She promised me each time they would get it done on time. As of May 1 I have yet to hear anything from them. I wound up calling another landscaper and getting the work done within the next day for 1/2 the cost.
