I won't attack the person but I will attack the professionalism/service sold to us. Not good!!! Total un-professional Too many do overs Won't return calls. Never shows when he says he will unless you get nasty. This contractor wants to text instead of calling? This contractor is a criminal He is in bed with his granite guy with his plumber with his electrician All criminals praying on decent folks He uses very unskilled persons to do the work so you never know who is in your house, I have seen people from 6years to 70 years in my house working and you wonder about the quality of the work performed, he is usually non-existent, he never checks the work so on several occasions we had him redo causing more delays and leaves you wondering what he has covered up. If you decide to use this contractor make sure you have a contract and list every nut-bolt-screw don't leave anything to honor, Do NOT USE HIS CONTRACT IT IS VERY VAUGE! He continually failed to provide what he led us to believe was in his scope on the kitchen remodel since under normal conditions items such electric outlets/placement or even painting sheetrock you think it would be in the scope????Kitchen gut and remodel down to the studs???? In the contract lay out a timeline because he will disappear leaving you wondering. In the contract make it a requirement all subs contact info is supplied be fore any work begins. In the contract make sure you require all subs or general labor to be solid construction persons and U.S.citizens. At least you will be able to communicate with them since your calls will not be answered. In the contract build in penalty clauses costing him $$$ daily for delays (I suggest $500.00 daily penalty) weather due to him or one of his subs!!! When he takes a draw he will disappear on you. Never cleaned up, our house was a mess throughout the process with disregard to our belongings every day there was work done we cleaned behind them. This project in my estimation took over 2 months too long due to contractor issues. We were constantly trying to get updates. We moved piles of demo outside our home that was definitely in his scope, I recall one time his son removed some carpet and pad that had been there a couple of weeks. We allowed him to use our dumpster and we also upgraded once to two small dumpsters and again to a large dumpster but there was no consideration to our cost at any point weather dumpster-electrical-cleanup-completing his work. We paid extra to move furniture and appliances but ended up with some damage. From start to finish poor. Always an excuse and the customer is never right. He told me he would stand behind his work but hasn't yet. We are now trying to get him out to do some work he assured was done to receive his last payment, we are now on the third day he said he would show I guess we will know for sure today if we are getting lip service again. I question any positive reviews on this site about this contractor. If you have tools/ladders/anything that can be used it will be used and abused so "me casa su casa" is the way it works. This contractor is more focused on his bottom line than the end result or customer satisfaction. This project went on from mid November 2014 to Early March 2015. We went without a kitchen from Late December until Early March. At one point he took out the ceiling in the kitchen after being told he could not leave it exposed overnight well he did and it stayed open for days during the coldest days in 2014-we were living in the mess he left. He uses plumbers/cabinet/electricians/granite-tile persons that do work for him as a side so you must be at their mercy when they will show to do work. His plumber is a criminal, crook of the worst kind, if given the opportunity he will side charge you and make it sting. His electrician is stupid, I had to come behind him and complete the job since he never checked to make sure receptacles had power. I had to secure hardy-backer to the kitchen floor since his unskilled labor used short screws the first time and short sheetrock screws the 2nd time so I bought the right screws the third go round and took out the inadequate screws and installed them to make sure it got done right and the next day he showed with about 1/2 as many screws as I used to secure the boards down?.-His scope I had to finish sheetrock tape and bed in the kitchen so the cabinets could be installed.-His scope My wife painted the kitchen before the cabinets were installed because we found out it was not in his scope?????????????? I had to relocate outlets in the kitchen so the cabinets could be installed.-His scope I had to relocate electric an outlet in the bathroom so the granite could be installed at 9pm one night.--His scope The cabinets he had built were a disappointment due to mis-communication and the contractor knowing better what we want than we did? The true professional is the cabinet maker. Too many problems to list so if you decide to buy into the good reviews and ignore the bad then good luck. We never did a final walkthrough but had a list and we were assured the list was completed so we made the last payment and found out later the list was not completed and he hasn't been back to make it right. You would think this would be a priority with an upstanding contractor. I hired Joe mostly because I liked him but found my character judgment is lacking. I am sure we are at fault in this project causing all delays and creating all issues and delays, we just want what we paid for! Sincerely RM

I will keep my moral standards and will not lower them to this gentleman standards...this project was finished way before he put this review here...and about being a criminal, I will visit with my lawyer to counter fight this issue.. Everything was done and walked to his n here satisfaction .... And plus if he said about me being a criminal, I would not be here responding to his low standard selfish respond ...I went above and beyond and did extra work without me charging extra, this gentleman was always wanted something done for free...yes time went more than I expected ,but it was for the best..he changed his mind on different occasions on granite tops and I paid extra out of my pocket to satisfy him n his wife..but what I don't understand is how he is very good about trying to put down a person when, everything was done to his liking and was complimented ... And offered to bring lunch for us and and even offered us a beer after work but I refused..he must have a mental problem we had a hard time in that house because it was very uneven and poorly built... And he even acknowledge it was... But there just some customers that are hard to please... And the en results were very good...because his wife was taking picture and showing them and was proud of the work..so I will let you be the judge of this...thank you very much

Wow... I guess when you are under attack you sure are...When I went to fix a mistake from a previous contractor who went and did a sloppy job, it's funny on how they don't mentioned everything that actually happens ..I told the customer in order to fix everything right was to retexture the whole ceiling..but customer did not want to spend the extra money..because they had already spend it on the previous contractor...so I went in the only did the repairs of what they were wanted me to do....but I guess they didn't mentioned on how I went up the attic to make sure the previous contractor had properly installed a low bearing support .. And gave them advice on next steps to do... And also I didn't charge for remains balance that was due, but I will get with customer

His work was good. but it went very slowly because he apparently lost some of his crew to the oil field. He started the job about two weeks later then he said he would, and we dealt with mostly his sub contractors, he was not good about keeping us updated about when he would be here, and he rarely showed up when he said he would. The job was supposed to take about 4 -5 weeks, and took over 5 months. He does not seem to have the resources or organizational and communication skills to handle a large project. He never finished the entire project. We are having to get another contractor to finish the job.
Description of Work: Remodeled kitchen, new counter tops & sinks, new gas cook top. painted cabinets. Remodeled both bathrooms with new vanity tops, new tub & tile in the guest bathroom. walk in shower.in the master bath was never finished.

Me. [removed member name] ...... I would appreciate if you were more honest on your review for me..I went above and beyond on what I had to do on my contract...everything was finished towards your satisfaction and complete. Yes time was delayed on some occasions due to weather and materials,if you are referring to getting another contractor.it must have been on the special order shower door ,that we had an agreement on the size we ordered..when shower door came in ,and it was the correct size shower door. You decided to not install that one ,due to your mistake.. That's when u decided not to use me to install shower door...but I still reordered the correct size for you.. And when it came in I even called you and reschedule the installation of shower door for you... And you still used my installer for shower door... Thank you very much mr. [removed member name], so next time there is an issue please let me know... And I will be more than glad to take care of it....

Dear [member name removed], as our pre walk when we finished your project..everything was to your satisfaction and also your wives... I even found you an appliance guy to install your appliances...and paid him out of my pocket. And then got reimburse from you... I even did extra work for you in the living room.. Plummer did his part .. And he even gave you his number if you had any problems.. And well if there was any shortcuts you mentioned why could you not have told me when we were in the process of doing your project..

We got Joe's name from a friend and also saw a review on Angie's list. Joe did a excellent job and was very professional. There were no money problems or pressure. The job did take longer than estimated and sometimes we were not kept informed as to when to expect workers to be coming to the house. I often had to call to get a status update. Joe was very skilled and knew what he was doing. I would have no hesitation to hire Joe for other projects and would recommend him to others.
