I took my mower deck to Weld Works because the 4 mounting holes were wallowed out. Because it has 2 blades, I told them that if they add metal to one side that the other side must also be done because the deck will not be level and the cut will not be even. A week and a half latter I get a call and go to pick it up. Only to find out that metal had been added and that only one side had been done. I told them for the second time that the cut will not be even and to do the other side. They told me that it would be ready in 2 days. I call and they said it was not ready. Another 2 weeks go by and no phone call, so, I call them again and ask how long before I get my lawn mower deck back. They said it would be " a couple of more days" because some of the guys were out. The next day they call me and say the deck is ready and had been ready for a while. I told them that I had just called the day before and was told that it was not ready. They were rude on the phone by snapping back and said that they had 2 mower decks in the shop. I went to pick it up within the hour and they said that all the guys "were out to lunch" and that I would have to wait a least a half hour or come back. I asked if one of the 2 ladies there would just help me load it. It is not heavy it is just bulky and they didn't want to do it at first so I told them that I would load it by myself and drove my truck around back only to find that the two of them had the mower deck and loaded it for me. I had taken the spindle for them to match up the holes, but they didn't use it because the holes were not an exact match and we had to drill out the hole in order to assemble the mower. My mower deck was in their shop for 3 and a half weeks. They never call with an estimate. They didn't listen to me when I told them that the deck must be level or the mower will not cut evenly. They didn't use the spindle as a guild and I fell that if both sides had been done at the same time the cost would have been lower. .If you need something done in a reasonable time, go to another welder.

Here was the problem. For an Audi I had an engine oil cooler that had a bracket come off from the factory weld which left a small hole in the cooler. So, usually when a part like this breaks you just order up a new one, or take the car to a shop and pay a real mechanic to repair your car. In this case the part was going to take 3-4 days to receive it and could only be ordered from the dealer at a whoopping cost of $450.00 for just the part. Well, I got to thinking that if this little hole could be welded up I would save money and speed up getting the car back on the road. Besides, if it could not be repaired or the metal was to thin to weld on what did I have to lose by trying. I found Weld Works through a friend that has let them do some fabrication on some hot rod parts for his hot rod so I called them up. They were very prompt in answering the phone and said they would need to see the part to even see if this could be done but that they had a pretty good idea they knew what I was describing. I got there in about an hour, they took the part to one of their men and came back to say lets try it. Well, 15 minutes later it was done. I knew they were busy and already knew from talking with them I may have had to leave the part, but once they saw what I needed they jumped right on it. That saved me both time from having to make a second trip and money from having to replace the part. If it the part could not have been repaired then I would have been able to get a jump on ordering a new one. To the wonderful and talented staff at Weld Works - THANK YOU!!!!!!!! Now the car is back on the road and life can go on. Reporting to you all on Angies List, Blair
