The company did have a nice serviceman come to my house to measure the size of glass I would need. However, their pricing and delivery charges were nuts. I found another company here in town that made the same piece for much, much less, same quality, and did not charge a crazy delivery fee.
Description of Work: The serviceman came to my house to measure for the piece of glass I needed. They called about a week later to tell me they were still getting bids. I did not hear from them for another week and it was via mail with the bids. I was shocked at how much they were charging and how much their delivery fee was.

We had a wonderful salesman whom was very helpful. We had problems with the installers breaking objects in our home and not even mentioning this to us or offering an apology. We were told the windows would be cleaned thoroughly after installation but they were left with hand prints, fingerprints and smudges. When we complained about it to the installer he just sorta shrugged us off. A door knob on a pair of french doors kept coming off when we shut or opened the door. When I mentioned this to the installer he went to home depot and bought a door knob that wasnt the same and told me that was the best he could do. We had special ordered through Glass Nook the door knobs. Trim that we picked out wasnt the same as installed product. The windows and door are of very good quality, I just believe they need better installers that have a better attitude.
Description of Work: New Plygem windows, doors and trim installed.

Thank you for the compliment on our salesman, and after looking up your account, we realize that the team working on your home are now working for a local competitor. We invite you to call our owners for inspection of the handle, as our inventory and records show that there wasn't an additional handle purchased, and we purchased the one you requested, which would be warrantied if any of the parts are defective. Please call us at your earliest convenience and we will remedy this and clean your windows, and again, we apologize for any and all inconvenience.

Recived a reasonable bid for the work and decided to schedule the work. The installed was scheduled to show up a 9:00 in the morning. To make sure everything got off to a good start, I took the day off in case there were questions. 10:30 rolled around and no installer. When I called the Glass Nook, they said he should have been there by now but they would call him and find out where he was at. 11:30 no installer and no call from the company, so I called them again. They said they forgot to call me back but he was on his way to my house. At 12:30, no installer so I called the company again and they said the installer decided to stop for lunch and would be there soon. He finally showed up at 1:30, and started installing posts. After about 1/2 hour, he came to me and said that the holes he had drilled into my composite decking for 3 posts were in the wrong location so he needed another board. Luckily I had an extra one and he said he would replace it for me since it was his mistake (that never happened). He worked for about a total of around 1 1/2 hours installing posts and then said he was done. When I asked when he was coming back, he said in a week or two, they now needed to order the glass (something that I was not told). Talked to the manager at the Glass Nook and he said they would be back the Wednesday to install the glass. Wednedsay, come home from work, no glass has been installed, no call from the Glass Nook. When I called them, they said something came up and they could not make it but they would be there the next day. They show up and start installing the glass and the installer tells me that the are short 4 pannels and will have to come back later to finish. Again I call the manager of the store and try to find out what happened. He explained that the company they order the glass fromforgot several pieces and since they only get shipments from them once a week, whey would be back the following week. I asked why they could not send a driver to the store which is less than a hour away to get the panels, and he would not do that. The next week, all my panels are in, and when I go out to admire the work, I notice that they did not even clean the glass. Streaks and fingerprints everywhere. The quality of the work was good, the way they treat their customers needs work.

I apologize for not having prior knowledge of this, or this would have been instantly addressed. After review, we have made several staffing changes, and realize that while the supplying company is less than an hour away, the particular product was being shipped from back East to that facility, or we would have happily picked up the product ourselves and worked overtime to complete this, and the supplier has apologized to us directly, and asked us to pass on to you as well.

My wife contacted The Glass Nook by phone and told them what type and measurement of glass that she and I wanted for shelving at our business. The Glass Nook took the measurements. The next day I picked up the glass from The Glass Nook. The glass was exactly what we ordered. I was very pleased with The Glass Nook and I highly recommend The Glass Nook for all of your glass needs. I highly advise that people avoid the other glass providers in the Tri-Cities. We recently had a very negative experience with a popular glass provider in Kennewick and we only recommend The Glass Nook in Richland for glass products and services.
Description of Work: The Glass Nook in Richland, Washington provided small sheets of glass for us for shelving.
