Extreme Air

Super easy to work with and quick to come out. One of our new ACs had a leak, which eventually caused the AC to blow much warmer that it should. He was able to diagnose and find the leak very quickly and we were cooling off in no time.

A/C went out on 6-21-22. I had a contract for home maintenance, so I called them. They sent tech out on the 24th, he changed out condenser fan. Lasted 20 minutes. They sent diff tech out on the 28th. He changed out fan again, lasted 1 hour. He came back apologized said 1st tech put in wrong fan and he didn’t notice. He put in right fan. Worked till 7-1 and quit. They came back on the 5th. Said had a leak and all the refrigerant was gone. $155 a pound for 12 pounds. I called Extreme Air. Owner came out next day checked the unit. Said it did not have a leak. Checked two ways, no leak. He said he had a substitute refrigerant that was much cheaper. Got it working. He didn’t try to sell me anything. The other company told me they would make me a deal on new unit. My A/C was 20 years old and I was afraid it would quit again. I asked Mike about changing out system. Made a deal he came back as soon as he got the new equipment. BTW Our A/C was working good while we waited for new equipment. Mike and another tech came out early and was though by 12:30. New equipment is an up grade over what other guys tried to sell me and he saved me a lot of money. Because of the first guys we were out of service for 19 days. Extreme Air was a God sent and I could not praise them enough. He was truly concerned about two old people with no air and took great care of us. Thanks Mike.

My A/C completely quit on a monday morning. I called an A/C provider that I had a contract with to do routine maintenance to come look at my A/C, they informed me that the compressor was bad and because of the age of the system it would be best to change out the entire unit. They then sent out a salesman which gave me an estimate of 13,600.00 to replace my A/C and heating unit. I then called several other A/C companies listed on Angie's list the lowest estimate I received was for 6,500.00. I was talking to someone at work and they recommended Extreme Air. I called Michael the owner and he came out that day and looked at my system he agreed with all of the other companies that the unit needed replacing and he gave me an estimate of 5,300.00. I told him that he could do the job this was on a wednesday he said that he could not get the new unit from the manufacturer until saturday but that he could fix my unit at no cost until the new one came in. This was greatly appreciated because the temp was over 100 degrees everday here in Texas. He came Sunday morning as promised and worked until the new unit was installed. He said he would come back in a couple of days to collect payment because he wanted me to try the unit for a while to make sure I was completely satisfied with the overall operation. This unit has been great much more efficient and much quiter than previous system.
