I was very impressed when Ron Dunlap came out to give me an estimate. He was very thorough and asked a lot of questions about what I wanted and gave me a good idea of what to expect. It was a pay as they go which made me fill more comfortable. The only delay was because of the holidays but once they were done, work progressed nicely. THE LAUNDRY ROOM - The porch cap had to be cut, then install the new floor joists and the new walls. Next was roughing in the plumbing and electrical. Then they insulated the walls and floor, installed a window, moved the exterior door to new location and replaced the door into the garage as well as installed siding on the outside of the new walls. They also installed an air vent and overhead light then textured and painted the walls. Plumber capped off the old washer connections. THE MASTER BEDROOM - with the bedroom extending out and exposed on three sides and the house being built in 1950, the room was constantly cold during the winter and hard to cool in the summer. Originally had planned to have Ron replace the three windows but an Angie special allowed me to have another company replace them for less. Ron did have someone take down the sheetrock on three of the walls then had the electrical upgraded, insulation installed and then put up new sheetrock, texture and paint. I would say the only complaint that had was with the crew that did the texturing as they made a bit of a mess with stuff on the doorknobs and then they dumped the leftover in my back bushes but the issue was addressed and resolved. There was constant contact with the main office and regular emails on progress. The only thing left as this time is the final inspection. I would not hesitate to use Dunlap Construction again and I would highly recommend them.

Ron Dunlap and his team did a superb job and delivered the project in a very successful manner, quality, timeliness, esthetics, cost, professionalism coupled with courteous behaviors. What a change this have delivered to our house, a major upgrade. Ron already out shined the competition from the beginning during the sales process with estimation visit and quotation delivery. The competition was two highly ranked Angie's list companies, Bantex and Core concepts. Dunlap came to us based on recommendations from our network. Ron did a far more detailed review during his estimation visit including asking far more relevant question to ensure better understanding but also for clarification and explanations for our understanding. The Dunlap quote came in first, with best details including requested break out into two sections, wall/windows and raised cathedral ceiling including separate pricing and in the end by far the most competitive price. For the other two companies I had to make multiple follow ups in order to get the quotes which then did not have the clearly specified break out sections, less details in the quote of scope/work to be done and truly uncompetitive prices. To be honest I was truly disappointed when I received these quotes from companies that had such high Angie's ratings... BUT it made my selection decision to go with Dunlap construction very easy! The whole project execution by Ron, his team and sub contractors came in fully in line with the performance show during quote process, professional, thorough, reliable, communication, responsiveness, quality and timeliness coupled with courteous behavior and cleanliness delivered during the whole project. When you get quality, respect, responsiveness, timeliness with courteous performance at competitive price what more can you ask for! We strongly recommend Ron Dunlap/Dunlap Construction!

Dunlap was punctual, professional and competitively priced. Remodel went off with out a hitch. All subcontractors were punctual and professional. Ron was responsive to our concerns. Will certainly use Dunlap Construction again.

My experience with them was good. They did a good job. They were timely. They designed it and built it. It was really nice. They did quality work. They did it timely and they addressed any concerns I had, I really didn't have many but they addressed it. The people that did the work were professional. Their price was lower than other prices that I had for lesser product.

Overall, the job took longer than I expected, but the results were fantastic. The length of the job was mostly due to waiting for city inspections to be completed, and a couple of rain delays. I did not give an A on professionalism as the workers left cigarette butts scattered around the site, and the clean up was not 100%. The contractor was always available if I had questions or wanted to discuss aspects of the job. And, the sub-contractors (electrical, roofing, gutters) were very prompt and professional. I will certainly ask this contractor for bids on other work I plan to do at my house (bathroom and kitchen).

This is the 3rd time I've used Ron (others were to add a 2nd story and to remodel a kitchen). He is very professional, very thorough, timely and fairly priced. His crew are considerate and try to pick up each evening as they are very aware you are living in the space they are working in. I subsequently used Ron to to extend a patio cover. I have recommended him to numerous neighbors and all but one had a very, very positive experience. The one that didn't had never done a remodel before so I think his expectations were set a bit optimistic.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE. RON DUNLAP, OWNER, WAS VERY INVOLVED AND PROFESSIONAL FROM QUOTE STAGE TO COMPLETION. PRICING FAIR, BUT FAR FROM THE LEAST EXPENSIVE. USED HIS OWN CREW FOR BULK OF WORK.
