Wolfman Chimney & Fireplace

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. It was good. It was $350 more than we spent on the Big Deal.

Showed up in scheduled time frame, almost didn't let him in because he had the wrong name. After sorting that inaccuracy out, he asked me if I had any issues with my gas fireplace and I explained how it would inconsistently ignite. He explain that if the pilot light was functioning, it was the electrical switch and I should contact an electrician. He did not touch the fireplace at all, other than the electrical switch. Stated the embers were in good shape and that was our so called gas fireplace tune up. He did say if I contacted him in a few years he would replace the embers for free. I am leery of that since he had my information wrong.

Jack was extremely professional. He covered all surfaces with drop cloths before bringing in his equipment. He spoke about the process he would perform, and answered all my rookie questions as we had never had our chimney swept before. He pointed out a crack in the fire box, and educated us on what could happen as a result of the crack. He was able to order a new panel, and will install it in the coming weeks. Would highly recommend Jack's services, and will consult with him about our next fireplace as we build our new home.

We had an appointment and i had an unexpected urgent situation come up and couldn't make the appt. Although i did email him and left him a vm to let him know i wound't make the appt, it was the morning of the appt and he showed as scheduled. He left me a vm that there was no problem and we could reschedule. (It turns out i left the vm at the wrong number and he didn't get the message.) We did reschedule and he arrived, cleaned out my chimney, and inspected the outside of my chimney. Turns out the proper hardware wasn't initially installed on my chimney and he went over the details of this to include photos, advised of options to correct the situation, and even shared that it wasn't a critical repair that needed immediate attention. So I got the cleaning, the honest advise opposed to an additional invoice same day, and no penalty for the missed appt, all for $79 Angie's list price. That's a fantastic deal and more important, Great integrity! This guy is really nice, knowledgeable, and more than fair. I would definately recommend him.

Jack was on-time, professional, explained all the things he was doing, offered other services and his performance was superb.

Cleaning seemed routine and OK, but he talked my wife into sealing a couple of cracks in the inside of the fireplace for $69 which I thought was high

Jack was very professional. He called and arranged for a date and time that was good for both him and us to check the fire place inside and out, He showed up on time and called before coming to make sure we were at home. He inspected the gas fireplace, cleaned out the chimney, and made some recommendations. He was careful to keep the floor covered to not spread the chimney soot all over. He applied the "hot box" cement filler in the space around the gas pipe that comes out of the wall upon our request for a charge. He also made sure that the gas burner functioned properly. It worked out very well. He did a nice job and he’s very polite. He called me ahead of time and was very prompt. He was only at the home for 45 minutes. He was very honest, as well.

They responded very quickly to get something scheduled. They called me to set it up. The technician, Jack, was here for a short time and got everything done well. I was really happy with the service.

He came out within 2-3 days of purchase, within the timeframe we were told. He explained what he was doing at each step. He cleaned out a lot of lint with a fan and followed up with a brush. He picked up lint which fell in the yard and threw it away.

I had a lot of subcontractors come during this period awaiting closing on my former home, and Wolfman Chimney was the most satisfying. They came as scheduled, cleaned after themselves, and left the chimney and fireplace in fantastic condition. Pointed out some minor repairs they did without even asking, since it was for safety and didn't charge me extra. Were fantastic and have used them again in new home. I also used them to control some critters coming into our new attic, and their bill was under the estimate since, once they got under the house, they determined it wasn't as bad as earlier anticipated. These guys are honest, hard-working, fair and professional. The critter services come with a warranty and offer to come back if we have any future issues. I recommend these guys highly!

Quick to work. Answered all questions concerning the condition and maintenance of my fireplace. Did warn me about possible future rusting on chimney cap and suggested possible solutions and price quotes. Very satisfied with the work.

I was aware of the larger issues with my chimney when I scheduled my sweeping appointment. When Jack got here he identified my issues right away and even talked me through the economical but quality way to resolve my issues. He even provided me with the info to get a discount I was unaware of. In all, it required 2 visits the first was the sweep appointment, which he removed the old insert, cleaned the chimney, and inspected the chimney. The second visit was to do all the rest of the work once the parts arrived. He was able to come out for both visits within a week of each other. He even secured the chimney during the 1 visit while we waited for the new cap/flue to arrive. He was prompt, reliable, quick, honest and he took the time to thoroughly explain what needed to be done.

Did a great job, clean dryer vent and also found it was not all the way connected. This vent was not connect all the way since we build the house 8 years ago. Jack found the root cause, fixed it and complete his job successfully. Very appreciate that he did not satisfied until he found the probe land fixed.

Everything went very smoothly. I sent Jack my address, phone #, and email address at the time I purchased the Big Deal and he emailed and called me the same day or next day. We agreed on a date and time. Jack showed up a few minutes early on the scheduled date and got to work right away. I've had my dryer vent cleaned numerous times so I was familiar with the drill. His equipment was less bulky than some but seemed to do the job just as well as the bigger machines. I generally have my dryer vent cleaned every 2-3 years so it wasn't too dirty - Jack told me it was in good shape. He collected the large pieces of lint that blew out onto my roof and on the ground, and vacuumed up the lint and dust that was behind the dryer, leaving everything cleaner than he found it. The whole process took about 30 minutes. I would not hesitate to use him again or to recommend him to friends and neighbors.

Jack came out and gave me an estimate and we set up a date and time for the work. He fully explained what needed to be done and what he would do. He came back at the appointed time and immediately set about the work. At the end of the job, he showed me a photo of the work he had done on the chimney top, since I didn't wish to get on the roof. The fireplace itself looks 100 percent better. He thoroughly cleaned the gas logs, cleaned the brick beneath the logs and placed new "embers" in the bottom. He lit the fireplace to demonstrate how it would look in use and the logs and "embers" look excellent. He also painted the sides and back of the fireplace box black which adds greatly to the excellent appearance of the fireplace. I attempted a photo but can't get one to turn out light enough and do it justice. He left the area around the fireplace, which is carpeted, completely clean. I feel that the work was excellent and I am extremely pleased with the results. I have no problem recommending Jack and Wolfman Chimney Sweep & Repair - Critter & Wildlife Control, and will not hesitate to use them again.

Jack (The Wolfman) is awesome. Very reasonable rate for the sweep and safety inspection with Angie's coupon. He found some issues with my flashing and offer to fix them same day (for a very reasonable extra fee).

Efficient and punctual service. Clean work, and cleaned after the job. Information about status of chimney, flue, cap, etc accurate and very helpful.

He was very careful about keeping the area around my fireplace clean, and inspected the chimney from both inside and from the roof. I was interested in adding a chimney cap, and he spoke with me about that as well. We did scheduled that as another visit. Jack was prompt, professional and enthusiastic. I was completely satisfied, and I highly recommend him!!

It was a really good service. We didn't use them for chimney sweep, but switched for dryer vent cleaning. The guy was really good. They didn't charge anything extra.

He is excellent. He did great outstanding service, he's very punctual, courteous and prompt in everything. He returned the calls and also I give him an A+ rating on the installation. The work turned out to be excellent. He put down materials so he wouldn't be tracking around any mess and he made sure that everything was vacuumed thoroughly so there wasn't any ash or dust escaping. I had to purchase a new damper for my chimney.
