Wolfman Chimney & Fireplace

I purchased a chimney cleaning special through Angies List and although it took awhile for Jack to schedule me in due to his busy schedule, it was well worth it. Jack was punctual and went to work on cleaning the chimney. Part of Jack's service is to assess the overall condition of the fireplace and chimney to ensure there aren't any maintenance issues that will impact the serviceability of of the system. Although my home is 7 years old and was built by a custom builder, Jack advised me that the chimney cap was not installed properly. The cap was secured improperly with screws bolted to the chimney top instead of the side. The screws were also not caulked properly, thus allowing rain water to leak into the chimney structure. Although the cap could have remained in place with proper caulking, it would require constant maintenance due to the location of the screws. Jack ordered a new cap and installed it in a manner where rain water would not leak into the chimney foundation. Who wants to climb their roof every year and shimmy up to the top of their chimney to caulk a chimney cap? Thanks to Jack, I won't have to do that.

The day of the appointment, Jack called to see if he could come a few minutes earlier than scheduled. After his inspection, he said that everything looked fine, in fact commented that our chimney appeared to not have had much usage. Then said he didn't feel right about us using our purchased deal for his services that day, as they were not needed. Jack agreed to return another time (next year) when there was something for him to sweep. Also let us know that we needed to trim the branches around the chimney to at least a 3 ft clearance. I really appreciated Jack's honesty, as I wouldn't have know the difference.

They were unable to get to me until 2 weeks and I decided to go with someone else.

Jack was very punctual and professional. As advertised, he cleaned the dryer vent, which had never been cleaned. It exhausts out of the roof of our two story home. There was quite a bit of lint in the vent system. I was impressed with Jack's work ethic and made an agreement to have him come on a yearly basis to clean the vent.

Jack was to arrive between 10:00 and 10:30. I tried to reach him about 10:45 and left a message. In a short amount of time, he returned the call and arrived at my house in a short time thereafter. He gave me an estimate of repairs for the fireplace, but said it passed inspection.

I don't know what I was expecting , However, I was expecting more than a brief walk around the front of home than a Quote of $1400 if i wanted their services. No discussion , suggestion or anything .was here and gone in less then 10-15mins.

I was under the impression that the $99 or so paid to Angie's List was the entire bill, but I was charged another $163.45 when the workman departed after providing the service. No complaints about the service or scheduling the service.

Had to re-schedule original appointment due to my schedule and delays in the job before mine and traffic. On the re-schedule, Jack arrived on time and went immediately to work, completing cleaning and inspection of fireplace and chimney in about an hour. Very professional, only evidence of his visit was the pristine condition of the fireplace after he left. Will call him again for my next 'check-up' or if any issues arise.

Our service person was great. He gave a very thorough explanation of the work that he recommended for our chimney. He also said that we did not need a sweep so that he could apply part of the fee to any work we wanted to have done.

The service man came on time, put down a tarp in front of fireplace to keep carpet clean. He cleaned from the inside and from the chimney outside. He checked the gas. He was polite and efficient. I would use this company again.

the did the initial estimate. we had to get some additional parts and labor. they returned, just as they said they would and got everything done on time. they are very high in demand, so don't be surprised if you have to wait. they are worth it.

Jack cleaned up our fireplace and helped teach us how to use it. He made us aware of a few idiosyncrasies in our system. He was very punctual and polite.

We purchased our house in June and was told the chimney had never been used by any previous owners. We decided to be safe rather than sorry and had someone come and inspect the chimney and clean it if it needed to be done. They were punctual and professional. When our appointment was set up, he gave us tips on how to ensure our chimney was safe to use prior to our appointment. Our only complaint was the length of time between purchasing the service and being able to set up our appointment. However, it was the start of the cold spell, so it was understandable. We would use this company again.

The provider and I set an appointment and he arrived on time. He performed the task efficiently and professionally. He left no mess and did the job relatively quickly. I give him high marks for a job well done and I can highly recommend his services.

He was thorough, knew what he was talking about, and didn't hesitate to say that he couldn't see any entry points for rodents so he didn't need to do any work; therefore he credited me the full amount for future trapping if anything does get in. He's a good guy, a pro, and more than reasonable!

They took great care to ensure that they would not get anything dirty on the inside of my home. They did a wonderful job cleaning my 2 chimneys and removing dangerous build up. Inspections were performed and recommendations made with no sales pitch to do the repairs themselves. Very friendly, efficient and professional. Would highly recommend them!
