Wolfman Chimney & Fireplace

After asking several questions about other options and how to be more energy compliant we decided to get a more extensive work done to our chimney. He was extremely helpful and absolutely no pressure. Scheduled for next week to complete services. Nice to see an honest company...would definitely use again.

He arrived on time and was very professional and explained all of what he was doing. We had little knowledge of the operation of the fireplace so he took his time explaining it to us. We really liked his work ethics and will use him again.

It was great. They did what I needed them to do. The money I was charged was fair.

Logs put back in wrong arrangement which is not important but "bugged me" enough to rearrange later. Also he covered up the gas pipe so deep in the sand that I couldn't get fireplace to light. Had to put on latex gloves to push away sand and fix.

When I called it was the cold snap we had in November. He gave me options on coming out immediatley for a little extra, as everyone was calling due to the cold, or waiting for a regular appointment. I waited. He arrived on time. Kept my house clean. Noticed a cracked chimney cap. Jack told me he could fix it but recommended I check to see in insurance would cover it. I have already recommended him to friends and family!

It turns out that my chimney/gas logs are the type that do not require being serviced or cleaned. He was extremely forthright and honest in telling me that I could go ahead and get a refund if I wanted to because he really did not need to do anything with my particular system. He then offered to check to see if maybe I would need a dryer vent cleaning instead since he also does that. In this instance, because of the positioning of my dryer vent, that also was a service I did not require. He told me I could go ahead and request a refund (even though he had to drive to my house, and took the time to look at the two areas)? Since I'm a Realtor, I decided to save that credit towards the next time one of my clients requires this service, which he was happy to do as well. Integrity goes a VERY long way to me, and I will be recommending him to future friends and clients.

Great company to work with and when we update our fireplace we will use them in the future.

Service was fast and thorough. Appeared as though our chimney was in pretty good shape to begin with so there were no issues. Will have them come back next year.

The gentleman was very friendly. Kept everything clean and explained everything he did.

He was on time, very polite, professional, and I would use him again. He offered suggestions to improve the looks of the fireplace, but he did so without being "pushy". When I said I would think about it, he accepted my response. His suggestions were given as just that- not someone who was trying to get me to buy more than I needed. I felt he was honest and reliable.

It was excellent. It was easy to make an appointment for them to come out when I needed them to. They were actually able to come out earlier. They were on time for the appointment. The guy was very personable. I really enjoyed his personality. He was fun to talk to. I would definitely use him again.

It worked out really well. I was satisfied with the price and the service. He was in and out in about half an hour. I didn’t need any repairs done to our chimney. The clean up was very good. He was very tidy inside. He made sure not to leave any residue in the shoot were the chimney area is. He was very professional and very nice. I would actually recommend them to others. He was really good. He had such a good deal and I knew it was going to be a wait because it’s just him running his business. I didn’t mind that. It was worth the money.

He did and excellent job. My fireplace looks more realistic than eve.

Jack the owner came out and inspected our gas logs and immediately saw that they had been hooked up wrong. He needed a pipe that he didn't have so he came back out the following day to make the repair. He had it repaired within 30 minutes. He is a very friendly guy and really takes pride in his quality of work. He told me before leaving if I had any problems whatsoever to call him and he would be back. I would definitely use him again.

They were very nice. He told me I had the best care scenario and that the vent led to the outside and said that I didn't need the service.

It was good. It was easy to get an appointment with them. I had no issues. They were professional and courteous when they came out. Everything went great. There were no extra charges.

Although Jack was professional and friendly, I'm regretting this purchase. My fireplace is three years old and I would occasionally have to hit the ON switch two or three times before it would turn on-- and -- here's my major concern: now and again, it would shut off by itself. Before cleaning, Jack said I just needed the fan to be on when I turned the fireplace on . . . and that it shut off because it was getting too hot (safety feature). He proceeded to do the check-up on the fireplace and to clean it. But -- now, the fan makes a noise very much comparable to a vacuum cleaner in my fireplace. Jack tried to fix this in every possible way . . . but was pretty much clueless as to why it was making the noise (he said he didn't do anything to the fan . . . ). And the noise is still there. And it's loud. Also -- he pointed out a problem with an electrical wire, showing me how to just push on it if the fireplace wouldn't start when I turned it on -- because, by the time he left, the fireplace would not always start even with the fan on. (BTW, -- push on an electrical wire? That's not gonna happen!!) Before he left, we agreed I'd call someone from Lennox (the maker of the fireplace) -- and Jack said he'd pay for whatever it cost to fix the fan, so I appreciate that. Right now, I have a call in to a company who has told me there will be a $60 charge just to come out and determine what the problem is. For this reason, I gave the price an "F" -- because I feel it is money spent for a service that in the end, only turned my small concerns into major problems. And will be costing me more money before I feel comfortable using my fireplace again. UPDATE: Although Jack said he'd pay to make it right, when I called to ask him if he would pay just HALF of the bill (as it was in excess of $800), he didn't want to talk with me. I went through arbitration with Angie's List and it came out a stalemate. How that can be, when he offered to pay, is beyond me. In addition, Angie's List said they were providing me a copy of Jack's response, but it was not included in the correspondence and although I called and e-mailed, asking for the copy they said they had given me, I never heard from them at all. In all likelihood, I will not be renewing my membership.

Inspection was thorough. He knows his stuff.

They were great. The service is great. They did exactly what they said they would. It worked out perfect.

He did a good job. I thought I needed someone to clean a vent that went up to the roof. My mistake. I can clean the vent myself in the future. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. If I have a crtter problem I will call him.

He was punctual and called before coming out, so we knew right when he would arrive. Did a fairly quick job, and provided us with information about safety issues. My husband thought he spent too much time on the phone, but he was in and out in 30 minutes so I am happy with the service. He is a private business man and has to answer business calls now and then is my opinion. Did a good job. Was happy with the service.

Initial visit to assess the situation resulted in an in-depth consultation about the chimneys and fireplaces at our home. I learned a lot. On the installation date, the provider was running late, and courteously called to let me know. The installation went smoothly and the problem was solved. I will definitely call this provider if any other issues arise.
