Wolfman Chimney & Fireplace

I think I paid $99 to find out that my current fireplace set is a piece of junk, and there was nothing that could be done for it because it's an unsafe unit. Reasonable options were offered around purchasing a new unit from a reputable supplier in town. The technician was very professional and knowledgeable. However, at the end of the day, I spent $100 for advice, no change to the fireplace situation. The final outcome is that I need to spend minimum of another $400-$500 to get it working properly. Good advice from the technician, challenging to schedule the service call, difficult to digest $99 for only advice, and lesson learned for me is to avoid specific marketing for specific services that I may not need. Expensive advice, and lesson for me.

Setting the appointment was easy as well as the arrival of the technician and inspection. Where is falls short is my chimney required a replacement panel. I asked for a follow-up so I could order and have it installed. To date no call back and now I am looking to do this service myself.

Excellent job though they were running a little late I was contacted and made aware of the time they would be at my home. Very through job.

Service was okay -- at first the technician stated that the thermocouple had gone bad and that I would have to have it replaced -- the part not on their truck and I would have to find someone else. I asked him to call his supervisor to ensure his troubleshooting was correct and that nothing else could be done. The thermocouple was not broken and the service was completed after his supervisor assisted. I cannot use them again since they do not normally service our area. It took several tries to get the logs back in place -- even though the technician took a photo.

I did not feel good about him telling me that information without inspecting the gas log fireplace and I did not use him. I have called someone else coming for a second opinion.

Very well. The technician cleaned and checked our system. He was careful to make very little mess and cleaned up after the job was completed. The technician also provided some tips and advice to improve the system.

This is the second time Aaron has provided this service for me. He inspected the chimney, cleaned the gas logs and vacuumed the area, tested the fire output, and assured me the fireplace was safe to use. He was pleasant and efficient as he was the first time he came. I now feel assured the fireplace is safe to use if needed.

I was surprised that my air conditioning filters were black after their visit. Not sure if this is normal.

Work was done on existing fireplace

The technician was excellent and thorough. We had wasps and yellow jackets in the chimney which he took care of. He checked the gas lines to make sure it was working properly. Also gave recommendations on the types of wood to use to minimize buildup. Would hire again!

The tech came and looked at my gas fireplace and said that they do not work on gas fireplaces. He said I need to contact a company that cleans and works on gas fireplaces.

From making the appointment to the actual service, this company was top notch. Professional, timely, pleasant attitude and thorough. I highly recommend this company.

We had a customer service issue with him where he told me I could not use my coupon that I got through Angie's List. He said I would have to go tell them I wanted my money back because they are not going to cover that because I didn't have any masonry work done. I said I thought it was for labor too. So when I called Angie's List they said that's labor and masonry so he should give me $300 off of it or something. So when they called him back then he said he already gave me a discount. Then Angie's List got back with me and I told them he told me he was not going to give me a discount. We went back and forth for several weeks. It ended up the Angie's List representative could not get an answer from him anymore so he just refunded me my money back. The guy at Wolfman Chimney said he gave up repair and I said no, he gave me quotes and on the most expensive quote repair was included. His work was good, but his customer service was terrible. I thought the cost was high. I think he could have done it a lot cheaper. I had trouble with his integrity.

The rep came out and noticed the damper was just jammed on itself. He took a few minutes and quickly fixed the problem. He also inspected our chimney and stated that all looked good and would not require any additional work. He did not charge us for his time. Needless to say, we were very impressed for the courtesy and the professionalism of the rep from this company. We would highly recommend this company and definitely would use in the future should the need arise. Thank you.

The customer service was great, from the time I made the appointment, got the confirmation for the appointment and the service provider was on time, took his time to do the job right and left the house clean.

They were Angie's List Certified and had an A rating with over 700 reviews. So, we gave them a call. We were able to schedule a convenient time. Aaron arrived within the scheduled time frame after calling to let us know he was on the way. He got right to work by covering the work area. He did everything listed as part of the Early Bird special coupon. And, we he left, you could not tell he had been here. Absolutely, nothing to clean up behind him. I recommend Wolfman Chimney and Wildlife for your annual fireplace and chimney cleaning and inspection.
