Robles Renovations

I hired Robles Renovation to install tile flooring in my first rental home. Initially, he had to postpone the project due to cold, wet weather—showing that he prioritizes the safety of his team. His pricing was fair and realistic, unlike other contractors who quoted me $2.50 per square foot for removal and $4.50 per square foot for installation. The quality of his work was excellent, though it took some time to complete. As with most projects, you can typically choose only two out of three—affordable pricing, fast work, or high quality—but not all at once. Robles Renovation delivered on affordability and quality. He handled the tile removal, hauled away the debris, and was easy to work with throughout the process. Once the tile project was finished, he also offered to paint the entire interior. He is highly motivated, passionate about his craft, and committed to doing the job right. I’ll definitely keep Robles Renovation in mind for future projects.

When I met John he seemed very knowledgeable and very promising. Fair in pricing and he and his crew worked generally 730-330 Monday thru Friday for the first few weeks. w an occasional day of no show, no communication. Then Dec 26 I reached out to him to see when he was returning back as I was surprised he was not at the house. He responded with, oh my guys decided to go to Mexico. We were on a time crunch and he new from the beginning w verbal communication we need this completed by Feb 1, 2025. We reached out on January 2nd when will you be returning. No communication. They returned to work Jan 6. The next two weeks John stated his crew was sick. They worked 1 day mid January and very intermittent did they show up. John constantly was not a man of his word. He would send texts stating he would be here xyz. No show. This happened off and on the text of January. Not sure what to believe. I fell out of bed. I don’t feel good. I’m in the hospital and keep me overnight. Constant communication and very frankly it’s hard to believe when your entire crew could be working on the job but they are not. And his trailer full of tools all of a sudden gone. His commitment to following through and finishing our verbal agreement was very poor. He is not a man of his word. Not a good businessman. Ok handyman, lacks integrity We also paid him to do certain services but when they don’t show up we are now out about 10k out of pocket We officially terminated him today with a formal email Feb 5, 2025. His response was responding like he was in the dark, he stated we never told him this or that and playing the blame game. Lots of texts w promises of being there. Most he was no show with lack of communication. He also wanted to trade services for our RV and Boat. Both valued at 5K each. He said I’ll give you guys 6k each for traded services. We verbally agreed. This mean we could afford the 3rd bathroom renovation by not having to come up with 12 thousand in cash. Weeks later, after the bathroom was demoed he said he couldn’t pay his guys and he no longer wanted the Rv or boat. This also put us deeper in with trying to figure out how to pay him cash for this job. He speaks before he thinks. He does not follow through with his word. He poorly manages his crews mistakes.

We were completely ripped off by Perez Painting & Renovation. We needed a rebuild after mitigation for a water leak in the bathroom that dripped down into the kitchen. The original ‘contractor’ did a HORRIBLE job hanging drywall. We fired him and he ran off with our deposit. John was a GOD SEND. John came to assess the situation and was very gracious and understanding. He had to remove the substandard work and redo the entire job. He is very knowledgeable about code standards and appropriate materials. That means a lot if your home ever requires appraisal. His crew came in and went right to work. There’s no time wasted and the job was done quickly and professionally and they show the upmost respect for your home. He will be doing ALL of the jobs I need for home from here on out. He is a one stop shop and your home will look like it never happened. Thanks John.

Do to raining weather he contacted me everyday till the weather was good and did a wonderful job. I definitely will hire him again.
