I brought to them several photos and we discussed a price. IF you are looking for sweet deal in restoration I wouldn't bother them. They are NOT inexpensive, they are very good at what they do. The waiting list was four months out, so they called when it was time to drop it off, and pick out the leather I wanted. I fully expected once everything was removed they would discover additional issues, which they did, but were very minor. The chair's oak has the original factory finish which they recognized as such and knew it was much better to leave it alone. They did recommend a good cleaning which was additional. One unique thing they recommended was to document the chairs ownership and and quot;storyand quot; of how I came to posses it, and they would put it inside the chair for future discovery. The process only took a few weeks and before I new it I had a voice mail it was ready. I picked it up yesterday. I fully expected it to look really good, and it did. What I did not expect was it to be so much more comfortable to sit in. I used to think it was very comfortable, but didn't know what I was missing! I've had the pleasure in the past of splurging on a couple of pairs of custom made boots. I didn't realize I was going to get what felt like a custom fitted chair! It was worth every cent. Neumeyers got an A only because there isn't a higher grade to give, plus they are just really nice people who are interested in your project and and quot;wizardsand quot; at what they can do.

Betty and her family helped me select the material for my chair seats and then recovered the seats. I never felt pressured or rushed to make my selection. They kept me informed of the progress of the work throughout the process and were always available to answer questions. The project was completed early so that my family would not be without the use of our dining room table for an extended period of time. I enjoyed working with them and am happy with the results.

They did an excellent job. They were very good and they do all kinds. They have more than 150 samples. I have been very happy with the price.

I found their services in the yellow pages and called them to provide an estimate. We discussed over the phone and it stated that it might go as much as $300 or possibly even more, so I asked them to call me when and if that happened. They did call and price ended up being $400. I still think that to be very high considering work performed but could have lived with it had they done even a mediocre job. The wood finish that WAS completed looked great. However, one end of the chest was not sanded or lacquered ... so happens that's the end he grabbed when loading into back of my SUV, otherwise I would not have accepted work or made payment. I promptly contacted them and their response was that that particular end was sun damaged and that the requested work was only to repair the trunk lid. If that were the case, not sure why they sanded and lacquered the other 90% of the trunk. Said they would gladly complete job but there would be an additional charge. When the gentlemen called about going over the $300 threshold, he brought up the brass pieces and lock. Assumed that refinishing meant to polish all brass but apparently not...so I advised that yes, all needed to be polished. he advised that there would still be some pitting...I said no problem. All brass is still tarnished and ugly. We also discussed the brass lock when he called. He asked if I wanted to keep the one that was on there or get a new one since the key was missing. I said keep. This was only attached by two screws when I picked up and it too was not polished. Bottom line, the trunk was not completed. The and quot;woodand quot; portion of the chest that was refinished looks great. The lid does not sit squarely or flush now and none of the brass fittings were polished.

The result was beyond my expectations. They did a beautiful job with it and it was finished in a timely manner. My only complaint was a gave them a "B" in pricing because I was given an original estimate of $1500. I added a few small changes after they took the piece ( had wheels taken off the piece and had a latch put on the doors). The job ended up costing me $2500, a thousand more than the original estimate. Although I feel that the end result was worth the cost, I feel they should have contacted me to let me know it was going to be that much more before preceding.

We contacted Neumeyer Upholstery, which we found through Angie's List, because it was close and because they have good ratings. Betty asked us to take photos and bring them to her to save time. We did so and looked at some samples of their work (photos and current work in the shop). We then selected materials for both the upholstery and the slip covers and agreed on the price. Betty and her daughter, Laura, do all the work themselves. They came to out house and took one sofa and one chair to begin work. We have just received them back, completed. They have now taken the other set for upholstery. Despite the project not yet being complete, we wanted to do this report to let you know how please we are. We could not be happier with the results. The workmanship is superb and the product quality is great. We will most assuredly recommend Neumeyer Upholstery to friends and family.

I called Neumeyer's one afternoon and spoke with Laura. The daughter or the mother-daughter team. Laura said she could come out that evening to take a look. She arrived exactly when she said she would (even called 10 minutes before her arrival time to let me know she was enroute). She was able to give me an estimate on price and turnaround time that evening. She also asked very important questions (that I had not thought of) regarding the alignment and placement of the stripes in my fabric so as to be sure she captured the dominant color I wanted the chair to represent. Laura loaded up the pieces in her vehicle and returned within a few days with the completed product. The chair was perfect! All corners, fabric, welting was lined perfectly and I knew they took great attention to detail. Thank you Neumeyer's!

Fabulous job, could not have been better. I use many upholsterers and she was the best. She came out to see the furniture and quoted the tentative price. She gave a date of when to pick up, went way out of the way to do this as well. She recovered the seats and took the chairs apart, re-stained, and refinished. Also had to drill out casters in a couple of the legs and fill in the wood, and re-drill. Perfect match! She is very professional. Returned the chairs ahead of time. She was so accommodating as well!

Julie returned my call quickly and came by to give an estimate for restoration of my antique table. Her prices were a little high, but she explained how she could fix the tilt top so it would tilt, and she did beautiful work. The table restoration was scheduled as soon as Julie took the table back to the shop, and she brought it back in the time promised. She did a beautiful job, was very experienced and knowledgeable and the table looked beautiful and now the top tilts like it should.
