+ -1 moreBusiness did not respond. We found a highly rated business on Tezel Road and the starter line will be replaced, total check-up, oil change and blades sharpened for a reasonable $125. They seem to have in-depth knowledge of mowers and we already saw a $450 mower we will probably purchase from them as we do return business with good service providers.

+ -1 moreWorks great now. Previously it would not start once the engine got hot if you had to stop it. Now it starts right up whether it’s hot or cold.
Description of Work: Did a tuneup on my push mower. Replaced spark plug, pull string, and gas priming button. Also sharpen the blade.

+ -1 moreProvider was able to repair several issues quickly, but not able to fully pin down a severe vibration issue, without replacing items per chance that may have been the cause of the issue, which I chose not to do, because of the expense. So still have not figured out the cause of the vibration and the problem persist. I all fairness, I have found no blogs etc that addressed this issue definitively either.

+ -1 moreThe tech did a great job. He checked out the mower, realized that the gas had gone bad, affecting the carburetor, and fixed the problem. The lawnmower was up and running in no time; he even mowed a couple of rows to make sure all was well. He gave me some tips on regular maintenance as well. Would definitely use again if services are needed in future.
Description of Work: My gasoline push lawn mower wasn't working (it started but then shut off a few seconds later).

+ -1 moreI've actually recommended him before on Angie's List because he fixed our dryer for us. So he's real good and he's reasonable in his prices. He's just a good guy. He did $50 parts and $90 labor. He's real good about responsiveness, that's one of the reasons I like him. He don't have to wait days to hear back from him. He'll call you back within a day usually. He's here on time and if he is going to be late, he'll let us know. He's always been good about that. We've used him for a number of years.

+ 0 moreEverything went smoothly as planned. They did all the repairs in about an hour. They called prior to coming out to confirm an earlier appointment time. They are very knowledgeable on mowers and how to get the best results for different mowing situations. They took the time to teach us the "tricks of the trade" in how best to mow our waist deep grass. They remained professional the entire time they were here.
Description of Work: Our old White riding mower needed carberator work, cleaning out old gas (turned to vanish) and much more to get it running. They were thorough in repairing everything that was wrong with it and also gave us instructions on how to best use it to mow our way too overgrown yard. They called to confirm the appointment and arrived promptly travelling from New Braunfels to Seguin. The work was completed in no time and they were very professional. While we initially felt they were a little expensive it was worth it not to have to rent a truck to bring it to a repair shop. Their service charge for coming out was $85 which is a pretty standard rate and the same amount my other service repairman charge for a home visit. We were very pleased with the work they did and will definitely use them again. We recommend them to our friends.

+ -1 moreThe appointment schedule was a bit longer than I would like; having to wait just over a week to have my lawn mowers fixed; however, this could be the price one pays for with an excellent service record. Outside of that, when the repairman arrived at my house, I showed him my riding lawn mower and the problem I was experiencing; he was able to find the cause of the problem; and with a little time and ingenuity, was able to find a solution for it. My walk-behind lawn mower just needed a simple cleaning and oil change and it was running as smoothly as ever. The price included both jobs.
Description of Work: Fixed the accerator pedal of the riding lawn mower that had become disengaged. In addition, fixed the carburetor of the walk-behind lawn mower, and replaced the oil so it could run again.

With all of the rain we have received in the month, we were concerned that we would be forced to do without our John Deere riding mower for several weeks. It is great to have a repair service guy who comes to the residence and knows what he is doing!!

+ -1 moreEasy setup for appointment, quick response and on-time. Showed up and told him of lawnmower issue. He ran thru some checks, told me of possible problems and started troubleshooting. He found issues, told me where the problem was (carb) and showed me the problems. He fixed the carb and then checked to ensure no other problems were present. He then sharpended the mower blades and gave me a tutorial on mower operations since I did not have a manual. He then asked me to start and mow a portion of the yard to ensure everything worked. Doc Wally was professional, efficient and knows his stuff. Great workmanship.
Description of Work: Troubleshoot why riding lawn mower would not keep running. Cleaned and reparied carb, sharpened blades, provided instruction on mower capabilities since I had no manual.

+ -1 moreThe technician showed up and it took her 25 minutes to clean the carburetor. She started it up and it has been running great. She informed me that leaving fuel in the tank over the winter is not a good idea. The fuel will gum up. At the end of the season just run all the fuel out of the lawnmower. The price for the service was good and it's great to not have to get someone to help you haul the equipment and drop it off at a repair facility and then have to come back and pick it up. Highly recommend Doc Wally's.
