Doc Wally's In Home Service

I set up an appointment with this company three days prior to the appointment time. Service technician did not arrive at the appointment time and I called the company's main number approximately 30 minutes after the appointment time to check on the status of the service tech. The scheduler (whoever answers the main phone line) told me the service tech was tending to personal business and would not be available until approximately 3 hours after the original appointment. I received no warning confirmation voicemail/email and definitely no direct phone call ahead of time letting me know the change in the service tech's availability. I rearranged my work schedule to accommodate the original appointment time. My perception was the scheduler did not seem overly concerned with the matter.

All was good. He explained everything to me, and it was all done well. Lawnmower is good to go.

He came all the way onto Lackland AFB and did the repairs. He has an amazing workshop in a tow-behind trailer where he performs all the work. He's very kind and professional. Definitely recommend him!!

Mower now runs well and will hopefully be running for some time before any other major service is needed. Happy to have it running to take care of 1.4 acres but cost was a bit steep for a bit over an hours work. I guess that's the premium you pay when you have to have the repair shop come to you. Had to play phone tag for a couple days but he was willing to accommodate my time restrictions when I did reach him. Update from the next day: Went to try to start the mower and same issues as before. Mower will not start. Now the game of phone tag begins all over again. Hopefully this is resolved before I have to pay someone else to mow my property. Final update: Again, difficult to get ahold of. Was able to resolve issue quickly since it was the part he had replaced which failed. Mower working properly now, hopefully the last of fixing it for a couple years.

He took care of my lawnmowers and charge me 160.00 which was a good price. He sharpen my lawnmowers put oil in them & gas. All 3 started great and has ran fine. We are so thankful for Angie's list. Great quality work very reliable honest & hardworking. Diff entry worth the money.

very punctual. only problem was their mobile phone system was not working properly this week, so it was hard to connect and get the appointment set. once it was set, it was awesome. they did not do anything unnecessary. I would definitely use them again.

Great service. Tractor runs like new. Daryl showed up and diagnosed all the issues and had my tractor up and running in a couple of hours. I needed someone who would do house calls, and Doc Wally's was the only one I could find. These guys are good.

Doc Wally's service was great. The technician (Darryl) arrived early and had the lawn mower fully operational in just over an hour. Would definitely use Doc Wally's again.

He was prompt and I think its great he comes to your house. He fixed it within and hour and its been working every since.

I was very impressed with Doc Wally's punctuality, professionalism and, knowledge of lawn mower repair. My mower had not been used in four years. He had it running within minutes. Since I am not familiar with how a lawn mower works, I can't tell you what he did. All I know it was running perfectly when he left and continues to work just fine. I would highly recommend Doc Wally's In-Home Service.

They came out and actually did a very good job. I was very pleased with that. What stood out was their willingness to come to the house and do the services at our house rather than making me take the lawn mowers to them. I think they were prompt and attentive. They followed-up. We were happy with them and we would use them again.

I called and left a message on Thursday 1/29/15. He called back within a few hours and said he had an opening on Friday but had another call in New Braunfels first. Said he would call when he was on his way. He called Friday afternoon and said he was still in New Braunfels and asked if he could come Saturday. Told him that was fine. He called when he was about thirty minutes away and arrived at the time that was agreed on Friday. Since it was raining, we made room in the garage for him to work. He explained what he was doing and I left him alone, occasionally checking to see if he needed anything. He had everything he needed in his van including routine parts and gas. He was very friendly and answered a few questions I had. He left the area as clean as it was when he arrived. I used the pressure washer today and the motor ran very smooth. I think the pump on the washer may need some work but he explained that usually the pumps will operate better after using for about 30 minutes. He would have worked on the pump itself if I had asked but that would have been significantly more than what we had asked him to come for. He assured me that it was usually unnecessary for him to take the pump apart and that it would most likely function properly with normal use. He did not try to up-sell me.

I was very pleased with the cost and service received by Doc Wally's In-home Service, and will definitely use again as the need arises. Not having to deal with the hassle of taking my lawn mower to a small engine repair shop, combined with Saturday hours so I didn't have to take time off from work, gives Doc Wally's an edge to the competition. For anyone who has a hectic work week, and has limited means to haul lawn equipment to a repair shop, Doc Wally's is a great alternative. The at-home repair cost for the services received were very competitive to businesses where you must bring in your equipment for repairs. Overall, it was a win-win experience.

I called in the morning just to see if I lived inside his service area. He returned my call with 10 minutes and told me he would try to make it out to my house by 1600 hours on the same day. He would call me back around 1530 to let me know if he was going to be able to make it. At 1615, he arrived at my door and I explained to him the problem. He immediately went to work and fixed my lawn mower. He started several times to make sure it was revving at the proper RPMs. He explained everything to me in detail. Best of all, he came to my house to fix my mower! I didn't have to try to figure out how to put it in my car and wait for weeks for a repair. Good Guy!!!!!!!

The cost was reasonable. We would recommend him and we would use him again. He did more than we asked. We ended up paying more but he cleared it with us first. He is a local guy.

He came to my house! He was fast and professional. This is the second time I have used him and he was just as fat and good as he was the first time. I will never use anyone else!

I read previous reviews of Doc Wally's service and, since I needed the repair to be done at the house, I called and scheduled an appointment. They are really busy, and it took a few days to get them out, but I knew that going in. As I typically do, I asked the technician (Darrel) if I could watch him perform the work. He was happy to not only let me watch, but provided instruction along the way so that perhaps I could do this next time if necessary. The lawn mower in question, has not been used in 4 years, as we lived in arizona and their is no grass. We started it occasionally just for fun, but much more. The mower then went into storage for 9 months and didn't get so much as a ray of sunshine during that time. As a result, the gas turned to a solid gummy substance that locked down the fuel system. Darrel cleaned the entire fuel system, but the mower still would not work properly. He diagnosed that as an electrical problem and identified what he believed to be the defective switch. He did not have the switch and stated he would have to order it. However, I told him i didn't mind going to pick up the switch and installing it, as this would be more time efficient. He agreed that this was the best plan, but told me to be sure to let him know if, for some reason ,it didn't work. Sure enough, I installed the switch and it didn't work. I called Doc Wally's to discuss. They came back out at no charge, found the real problem (which was a different electrical sensor), fixed the mower, and refunded me the money I'd paid for the original part. While I was a little disappointed that we had to have two service calls, I was very pleased with their response and how they handled it. Every now and again a glitch happens, but how they handled it was great.

He was very informational he know is bussnies give to a good price really calling close he was on time we couldnt ask for anyone better. He got us two day early and keep us posted.
