Description of Work: Scheduling an appointment was super fast and easy. They came out within the week to replace our water heater. The technician was very efficient and personable. He took care of everything and even cleaned up under our old water heater. It was a pleasure working with this company!

Description of Work: Big State completely no-showed on my scheduled 4-hour appointment time, did not respond to any of my attempts to communicate (their dispatchers did not know anything that was going on) and made me waste a day of work. The following day they could not guarantee they would make it out, so I found a competitor who did the job on short notice, on time, and for the same price. Would never use Big State again given their unprofessionalism and poor communication.

Description of Work: I don't recall the exact date. I paid $99 for $200.00 worth of service. My desire was to have my Water heater drained and flushed and have a shower handle changed if still within price range. He proceeded to tell me my Water heater was too old and then worked up an estimate to try and sell me a new one at a ridiculously high price. I then had him change out the handle on my shower. He MAGICALLY estimated the cost for that handle changeout was $200 which ate up the full value of my purchase. ($200 to change a handle? Really???) Description of Work: Contacted provider via Angie's list for estimate and appointment for urgent plumbing service. No response. Then I called. They said they would call me back. No call back.

Description of Work: Install of tankless Hot water heater. Not without some bumps, but they finally carried it over the finish line. The good: the team worked really hard under trying conditions to get it in (12 hours in a hot attic) and were very dedicated to fixing what didn't go right, finally got it done on cost and on quality as promised. The not completely perfect: it took two months, was initially not up to code and required a lot of additional work to get it right. Overall: in life, it's how you handle the bumps that come your way, and You can count on Big State to come through as promised.

Description of Work: I had to reschedule the appointment twice for free estimation either because nobody show on time or I was informed that the worker had something else to do and cannot went to my place after one hour of appointment time. | |Finally, I was able to see somebody shown on the third appointment still with half a hour late. The worker told me the price was $120/hour, and didn't give me the estimate of how long the work would take...

Description of Work: Big State repaired a leaking toilet - their plumber did a good job diagnosing the issue, testing until he found the problem. The outlet pipe fittings had developed a leak.

Description of Work: Replace Water Heater and secure toilet bowl. Dent to water Heater and the vent from water heater still not secured. Two shims and some glues to the toilet bowl ($125.00)

Description of Work: The plumber inspected the heater, did not provide any details needed to get the part under warranty from the manufacturer, and did not respond to telephone calls about the part needed. Still have the problem, but I will not use this unprofessional and unresponsive service.

Description of Work: First came on Aug. 11th. Diagnosed and gave price. Needed one part that was to be picked up and put on within a few days. Then the next day, the 2nd employee showed up without the part and not seeming to know what to do and giving a different diagnosis (saying that the entire fixture needed replacing, rather than only one part of it, as had been the original diagnosis). Then later, a third employee showed up without the part. Finally, the original employee came back, brought the part and successfully installed it. To their credit, they took about $50.00 off my final price, so that the cost was about $200. So, I felt better that they recognized the problems and did this. In my conversations with dispatch, they seemed a bit disorganized. I'm sure that they have probably straightened this out by now. I sure do hope so.
