I used Big State previously for repair of a sewer line and was quite pleased with the work and price. Based on that when my old water heater started acting funny I decided to replace it with a new one, and since it was in the attic, it was too much for me to do by myself. Going with Bid State was the obvious choice based on Nextdoor comments as well as previous experience. My initial contact was not exactly perfect, but after contacting the owner all the issues were resolved immediately and to my satisfaction. The new heater was installed promptly and efficiently and has worked just as expected.

Excellent. Richard B of Big State plumbing arrived at the time promiced. He preformed the service professionally. When he left the house it was as clean as when he arrived. My water heater no longer rumbles when I need hot water.

It went only fair. Installers could have recommended dog eared fittings to connect the PEX to a short brass/copper alloy pipe to the valve on the outside of the wall under kitchen/bathroom sinks and the toilets/washing machine. It would have made the final result better and I would have paid the additional cost. Response to a problem, quite excellent. After holes are poked in walls and ceilings to do the plumbing work they do not repair them but should be able to recommend a good contractor to do so.

No video, but attempted to clear the drain with high pressure water. Didn't work, so received a nebulous "invoice" (I am assuming that this was a quote) with statements such as "System restoration service, Performance, safety and service calibrations, Thorough system enhancements", and "Installation performance and connection service" for almost $7,000. This is for about 25 feet of 4 inch PVC pipe and trenching to the area where the blockage is known to be. Yeah...... no.....

They scheduled me the next day, got the work done in a couple of hours, were really nice and responsive and did a good job.

The work was done very well by Jason. However, I did have some problems in getting the work scheduled. I purchased the services in early December and chose three appointment times the first week of January, i.e., after the holidays. I became busy in January and when I was able to catch my breath in the third week of January I realized that I had requested those three early January appointments and I realized that the company had not replied. I made a call and they scheduled me the same week. Jason came out as scheduled and did a fine job. Overall, I think this is a good company and will use them again.

Fine, though he arrived extremely late (6:15 pm when the appointment window was from 12 - 4), though they did call to inform me of the delay, but couldn't give a new time so still had to sit and wait... Plumber was courteous, professional, helpful.

The technician was late, but still within his arrival window. He was nice enough and fairly knowledgeable about water heaters. However, Big State as a whole seems to be more interested in fooling a few customers into buying overpriced products/services. The technician informed me my unit was old, had a few issues, and needed to be replaced. I expected this, since I invited a salesman into the house and didn't know enough about my water heater. However, what I did not expect was the price tag. They wanted $2,100 for a new tank or $8,800 for a tank-less system. I'm all about companies making a profit, but these prices are more than double what most customers can expect to pay for a new water heater. I appreciate the prompt and effective communication I received form Big State and the kindness of the technician to go over the quote with me right there on the spot...but needless to say, I will be looking for a better company at a better price.

I purchased the water heater flush deal on Angie's List. The technician came out on time and performed the water heater flush as well as the home inspection. The technician was very nice and knowledgable. Great service!

Technician arrived at my home to do a water heater drain and flush. Arrived with water hose to do the draining of water in water heater. Showed technician where the water heater was, and he proceeded to hookup and drain water heater. During the draining process, the technician came in the main area of the home, and ran the faucets in the guest bathroom, and master bathroom. After a few sceonds of this, returned outside to garage to monitor water hose, draining water tank. I came out to the garage to see how things were going. There was small chit-chat, and then the technician gave me his recommendation of future services of installing a new water heater. I inquiried about tankless water heaters, and PEX plumbing. He was very responsive with that info, and began to wrap the flushing up. Had a couple of questions about the items not tested, but I slowly began to see the reality of my inspection, which turned into a 49.00 water heater inspection and price quote. The days of free job quotes are long gone. You have to pay for job bids upfront now. Its a gamble for home-owners, and companies looking to have potential work/service done. In the end, I should have questioned more, but I didn't. Lesson learned.

The representative David was very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. He took care with my bathroom while he was working. Also, he gave me multiple options to consider for the work I needed done.

It went very well. They were fine. They replaced all my plumbing after they looked around, but you expect that. Everything went pretty well. Their responsiveness was very good. They came when they said they would.

I like that they send you an email with a photo of the technician that is coming to your home. The technician showed up on time, was very knowledgable, and gave me price options that were very reasonable to fix my plumbing issue. Would definitely recommend to my family and friends!
