Description of Work: Big State was called out on August 15th to repair a leaking faucet in the master bedroom shower. They performed the work while my daughter was here watching the house as we were out of town. When I returned a few days later, the faucet was still leaking and the replacement cartridge had been installed improperly as the hot and cold water was swapped. We called them back out to correct the problem. Another technician (young man) arrived and said he didn't have the part/cartridge and they would have to order it and would get back with us when the part was in. He did swap the hot and cold back as it should have been. In mid September I contacted them as I had never been contacted. They said they would send someone out. He arrived on Sept 22nd, looked over the job and said the problem was that hard water had damaged the faucet/corroded the seats. He recommended a replacement faucet and install of water softener to prevent similar problems in the future. I reluctantly agreed with the estimate of ~$5000 to do both. We paid half and asked to have them provide us some selections for the replacement faucet. We were told the selections would be send via email soon, and the appointment was scheduled for the next week. A couple days before the appointment I called them since I had not received any selections for the faucet. I was told they would be sent the next day with apologies that he was busy. The morning of the service I called since I still hadn't received the selections for the faucet. I was told I would have the email in a few minutes. 2 hours later I called and cancelled the job as the selections still had not been sent. They refunded the downpayment. | |I then contacted Moen directly and ordered the replacement cartridge for $18. I installed it myself. My repair fixed the leaking faucet. | |I feel they either installed the wrong cartridge in the beginning or installed it poorly damaging the seats. Then they tried to blame it on hard water and sell me a very expensive repair service. I don't appreciate their tactics and will not use them again.

Description of Work: I was impressed with Big State Plumbing. They were very prompt, professional, and explained everything. The only issue was with a new faucet I had them install in my kitchen. I noticed a leak under my kitchen sink 3 days after the install. I called them and they came back out later that day. It turned out to be a loose pipe that needed tightening...not sure if it was related to the install, or a separate issue altogether. I would definitely use them in the future and recommend their services to anyone else looking for a plumber.

Description of Work: Under Warranty, main supply line had broken and they replumbed it, it broke again and the came out and repaired again at No Charge, Been holding for 4 montha or better

Description of Work: Replaced bathroom sink faucets (4 total) in 3 bathrooms. Not punctual but was not that late. Was professional but the quality of work did not measure up to the cost. The plug stop working due to the part underneath came apart on it's own...hence quality of work. Not sure on the date of work.
