From start to finish Shane did an excellent job. He came out to give me an estimate on a fix for our natural gas flow issue and took the time to look through the whole system and give me the next steps (blow out the system, then re-run the pipe if that didn't work). Within a few minutes you could tell he was on to something and went out to his truck. He came back with a new valve and said he wanted to try one thing before he gave me an estimate. It turned out the old valve had sealant trapped in it and wouldn't flow. Just like that we were done with the work! Shane's demeanor and professionalism is top notch. I definitely have a new plumber and would recommend them to anyone.

As I said above they fixed a few items and fixed the shower leak by just replacing the valve internals.

I bought a deal for $99 for $200 worth of plumbing services but I paid an additional $50 for additional services.

BigState Techs came by. They were very courteous and said that the special I had purchased did not cover the drain I wanted unplugged. They said that I had corrugated pipe and I would need a "jetting" service which was not covered in the special. I had a good experience and would recommend them to my friends.

The provider failed to come the first day we made an appointment. The second appointment, the provider failed to completely install one bathroom faucet, leaving it with only one temperature working. So, not totally functioning, and also leaked if the handle of the other water supply opened at all. The kitchen faucet replacement leaked within a day or two of the installation and required a return visit. I ended up having a plumber out four different times and had to stay home five different times to get this little job done. Life is too short to use this company. I work full-time and had to take time off work more than once to get this resolved. When I later needed more plumbing work I used another company and had ZERO problems.

Big State Plumbing showed up - the reps were nice people. No complaints there. The issue is that this company put an add in for a water heater (40-gallon) for $849 and proceeded to say there would be additional costs. Here's the clause in the "Fine Print" - "Some location restrictions apply; attic applications can be done for an additional fee." This is a joke since the "additional fee" was going to be about $530 - just because the job was in the attic, not the garage. Fine Print said nothing about the garage....like "only applies to installations in the garage" - nothing, middle of a donut, zero, zippo, nada! Big State Plumbing is clearly using this type of add on Angie's List to get in a consumer's front door and then trying to jack up the price. They tried to raise the cost by about 65% for one 40-gallon installation in the attic. What a joke. I said "NO THANKS!" Be careful out there for this approach - it's really a BAD way to do business. I wonder how many of their customers fall for this. This is the type of story that should be shared with a local TV station for other consumers to learn about - a real sham!

Outstanding providers!! Very pleasant, very capable and outstanding value!! Two men came, so job went very quickly. I particularly liked how accommodating and well prepared they were. I had faucet set, but no faucet for the tub...happily they had the perfect one right on their truck which was greatly appreciated. GREAT VALUE for so much work and expertise. I recommend this company highly.

Chris tried to flush a disposable towel that he was using down my toilet which caused the toilet to overflow. He and his assistant wiped down the floor with basic paper towels (while running back and forth with toilet water soaked feet across my bedroom carpet) to get more towels. They didn't offer to mop or clean in any way. They also had to access the attic and proceeded to track insulation down my hallway (also something I had to clean up).

Chris said my water heater was manufactured in 1998 even though the house wasn't built until 2003... Chris was great...took and emailed me the pictures of the areas where my hot water heater was rusted, explained to me my options and problems the flushing might cause...so I decided to skip the flush just in case the rust was holding it together and went with just the inspection. He inspected the rest of the house and gave me estimates for two options on replacing the water heater. Chris and Matt were very professional and I appreciate their time and explanations. On a second opinion it turns out my water heater meets the 1998 regulations but was built in 2003 so Chris missed it on that account.

This plumber charges more than attorneys. I did not have the work done. Almost $400 including $50 coupon. Forget it.

The people were friendly & on time, but we did not go with Big State Plumbing due to price. They quoted $420 to swap out a kitchen sink faucet & bathroom sink faucet. I had the job performed by another plumbing company for $120. That is a big difference in price.

It was fabulous! It was a tough job but they stuck with it until it got done and tested it out once they were finished to make sure everything worked properly. I am very happy with the service.

The man who eventually came, after several calls telling me they were delayed 30-60 minutes at a time until about 3-4 hours later, got out of his truck and almost immediately said, "oh, this is not going to be covered under the $75 deal." When I asked why not, he said "I don't know if I can get the part." When I asked how much it would be, he said $150. I said ok then. He did finally get the part and it was fixed the next day. I also asked how much to fix the drainage pipe, a very simple fix, and it was once again "$150." Since I had taken 1/2 day off to have this done, I went ahead with it. I won't request their services again. Overpriced and arrogant. For my next plumbing problem, I called Mike Tidwell out of Sugar Land, and he was reasonable, was at my house, and problem fixed in less than an hour.

The worker was polite, on time, and had a great knowledge of plumbing. He took the time to explain everything to my husband and told him how to keep the drains clean and running smoothly!

Serviceman showed up late... after his office called to confirm I would be home to meet him for the scheduled call hours, which I confirmed, I was told he was 1/2 hr away. Over 45 mins later, I called to ask where he was. I was told he was within 10 mins. He Showed up 2 mins later. When I asked what happened to being here over 20 mins before, he said he'd told his office he was running behind (but no one called me). He didn't apologize and I felt he was dismissing his lateness. He looked at the area and advised costs verbally. He was to send all in writing to my email address. I never recd it.

great job and great quality of work. i would definitely utilize them again. Very fast response. They were on site and had hot water flowing within a day of me calling them.

We could not be more pleased. Chris, the fellow who did most of the work, was unfailingly punctual, responsive, skilled and inventive dealing with our antique plumbing system. We are planning more extensive work in the future and will be contracting with Big State.

Willie and his apprentice were great. They recommended a work-around that saved us a ton of money. I had another company provide a quote, but the Big State solution for a gas line fix was a fraction of the price.

The visit went well. The technician came in, looked at the setup, we discussed which of two water heaters to drain, drained it, and discussed proper care and maintenance while it drained. He taught me well enough I was able to drain the other water heater myself.

Got a 4 hour window Fri, 12-4pm. Rep called 3:30pm to let me know they were running behind, and would be there 4:15. I called back at 4:15 to let them know I was leaving. This was an easy estimate job, previous plumber was in/out within 30 mins. It did rain that day; however, other plumbers had no issue making their timeframes this day.

I called because one of the faucets in the sink leaks (white powder around it). I stopped using it. The repairman could not unscrew because the builder's plummer put the wrong screw and it broke his tool. So he could never get it off to fix. He ended up cementing the toilet down and that was it. What a waste of the $250 worth of work for $99 dollars. I was truly turned off by this and probably would not use one of these offers again. He also wanted us to pay a shop fee for some paper towels.

The company called twice during the day to say that the service tech would be late. He eventually arrived 2 hours after his original service window (12P to 4P). At first he could not find the source of the problem. Eventually said the problem was tree roots in the drain line. After discussing the issue with his supervisor, he provided an estimate to replace the clogged section (an estimated 4 to 6 feet of 4" PVC) for $2400. I explained that the line was located approximately 3 inches under the turf in a very accessible spot. After further discussion with his supervisor, they agreed to lower the estimate to $2200. I politely declined and sent him on his way.

The first time they came out, they did a crappy job. I was going to go and write something. Every time I think about it, I get mad but they came back and cleaned it up. Everything is fine now. They came back and rectified it but the guy that came out was a dork.

They looked for the easiest and less intrusive way to solve the issue. I am looking forward to receiving their fair estimate to perform the job and doing the job as soon as possible with them! Chris and his teamate were very polite and friendly. My tenant was very impressed with them too. Thank you!!
