Jackwagon Powder Coating and Sandblasting

I originally called the company and spoke to a lady (Rob's wife?) to try to find out exactly what they could do, the cost, etc. She asked me to send some measurements and photos of the lockers, and have Rob call me back. I did this, and he called back later in the day. We discussed the procedure, the paint he had available, (and if I wanted something different, it could be ordered) the problem that rust could cause in the sand blasting procedure.(and it did have some rust on the bottom of it). I told him I understood, because of their age and condition we knew they wouldnt look "perfect", and some their character flaws would still show through. as they were not in the best condition. They had been painted 2 different colors - purple and a greenish yellow. He told me what he would charge, and it would take about a week to complete. I called him back a few days later, and we set up a time to drive out to his shop in Devine, TX with the lockers. He texted me the pinpoint on a gps map (very helpful!). His location is about an hour's drive from our house. Once we got out to his shop, we decided to use the white paint that he had in stock for the locker, but wanted the hinges, door knobs and interior hooks to be painted black. Rob also said that it may be difficult to paint the interior of the 3 lockers while they were attached to each other, and that he would probably need to take them apart. Apparently in this process the powder paint is blowing around and could block him from seeing while painting the interior. This would be an additional cost of $50 - plus the second paint color for the hinges, etc. This was not part of our original bid from him - but we understood that was additional labor, and that we were asking for something extra from our original conversation, so we fine with it. He told us it would be ready in about a week. So we left them in his capable hands. About a week later, I texted him - he sent me photos of the lockers, when they would be ready for pickup; and we set up a time to pick them up. They turned out beautiful! - very happy with them. AND - because there was less labor involved than he anticipated, he only charged us the original amount of $350, so we appreciate his honestly.
