He did the wiring which was installing chandeliers and ceiling fan that was okay but when it came to the fountain and sensory back yard light outlets, which I paid him 700 to install . He never did it and never returned my money. I called him several times and he wouldn't answer and when he finally did he said he would come. I waited and waited, finally he went by and told me he needed a few things and would do it . But he just lied and never came back. And he kept my 700. I would never recommend this company. They are crooks.!!!! I called the company and told receptionist. And all she said was that she would talk to him. (Charlie Gallegos). Do Not Hire for they are not Professional. Nor are they capable of getting the Job done
Description of Work: I had some electrical wiring done and ceiling fans put on. He did that. But he also was suppose to hook up a sensory light and install the wiring for my fountain .

I have used this electrician twice with a positive experience. We wanted to install a ceiling fan in my son's room which has a 14' ceiling. Unfortunately my tallest ladder is 4 feet too short. I called Mr. Gallegos thinking I could give him the work and he would likely have a high enough ladder. When I called, Mr. Gallegos agreed to do the work and agreed upon a price. He told me that he was on a job, but said he would call back. Days past and I heard nothing, I tried calling and each time I would get his voicemail. I thought the behavior was very unprofessional. If he didn't want to do the job he should have simply said that rather than wasting time I could have gotten someone else.
Description of Work: Had used in past with positive experience, this time was evasive and would not accept calls.

After the installation, one of the three lights did not work. Numerous phone calls went unanswered. We had to pay someone else to re-do the work. All lights working fine now.

First I was happy with the business and then I wasn’t. At first they came and fixed some things that they did wrong or forgot to do or whatever and then I paid them. I had him do another project thinking they would do a good job there and they ended up coming back to do project that was first done and they did it incorrectly and I had to find somebody else to do it because they wouldn’t answer my call. I literally had to redo stuff that they had done. I don’t know what his problem was and he had old traditional mind set. The one time I didn’t pay and I think he got mad about that but I was trying to pay him and I was out of funds, but once I got the funds I paid him extra. I thought he would be forgiving but the next time he gave me a hard time. It was my fault in a way but then it was his fault too. He did his work incorrectly. I had entire different person come and re do his work. The price was reasonable. At first the quality was good and then it changed. They came out fairly quickly. Their punctuality was good.

Crystal Electric did not perform the job profesionally, e.g. they made the short circuit on purpose, that could set our house on fire. They did not do the tasks as agreed. They charged for parts they did not install. They forced the payment and quit, e.g. they left the cluster of cables hunging from the ceiling to the floor, once their tactics to get the check proved efficient. The above work was performed on our vacation house at Lakehills, TX.
Description of Work: We had a very bad experience with the Crystal Electric Co.In January 2012 we hired Crystal Electric, represented by Mr. Charlie Gallagos,to correct, connect and test electric installation using bulbs in our new house under construction. Crystal Electric agreed to "make all electrical completely ready to install drywall". Four men from Crystal Electric worked on our property for two days. The second day they stopped working at some time, and they requested payment for all the work as if all the work was completed. It was not, and after noticing that they were not working, my husband started to work with them installing one cable. When my husband was working with Mr. Charlie, the three other men stood around waiting for payment. One younger man said loudly that my husband would not pay, so that my husband could hear, and he was angry. My husband understood to pay immediately. Four men, including one angry, against one older man; it did not make any sense to resist, so my husband wrote the check they requested. This way the Crystal Electric did not give my husband much chance to evaluate the work they did before leaving. After they left with the check, my husband noticed a few tasks they did not complete as promised. They quit with the check so fast that they left even a cluster of cables hunging from the ceiling to the floor. The next day my husband asked one contractor, who worked on our house for months before, and who does also electrical work, to inspect the electrical work after Crystal Electric. During the inspection he found the short circuit through the switch at the main door. The switch was working the day before. If breakers were damaged, the short circuit could set the house in fire. My husband has sent e-mail to Mr. Charlie with a list of uncompleted problems left by Crystal Electric, and in addition Crystal Electric requested payment for parts that they did not install. Mr. Charlie Gallagos did not respond. We called him also many times by phone, and he called us only once to request full payment. They quit the work completely. Understanding of what has happened and that Crystal Electric abandoned the work site, we hired also the second electrician and the Inspector. The electrical installation did not pass the inspection (the report is available to review). Our two electricians were negative of the work done by Crystal Electric, one adviced to stop the check payed to Crystal Electric. In conclusion, we would not recommend Crystal Electric Co to anybody.

THEY HAVE EXCELLENT LOCAL REFERENCES AND EXCELLENT WORK SKILLS AND EXCELLENT PRICING....... THIS COMBINATION IS UNBEATABLE... FORGET THE REST ...CALL THEM... THEY ACTUALLY SHOW UP ON TIME AND RETURN PHONE CALLS.. THAT PUTS THEM AHEAD OF MANY TRADESMEN I HAVE DEALT WITH.
Description of Work: Installed ceiling fan and repaired 2 electrical wires in attic and installed outside electrical outlet.... My home builder designed the house so that critters ( rats , mice , racoons etc..) could enter the attic thru gaps in the eaves...told me this design flaw was within code... when we finally realized that our attic was the local hotel ...we called a pest company and spent about $800.00 trapping and sealing all the various entry points.... other issues were to repair the damage from a burst water pipe caused by rodents chewing on it in the attic ... the water basically destroyed a wall , carpeting and baseboards in A bedroom and had electric wiring in attic gnawed down to exposing copper....... where the rodents were nesting.... Crystal Electric resolved the wiring issues in my attic.... this Company returned my call immediately... called me when my e-mail showing damaged was not received and showed up when promised to do the work.....they agreed to come out and do the work without having a set price...this means i did not have someone demanding $275. 00 upfront even if the work was minor. I got a break and needed only 2 wires repaired in the attic so therefore with his pricing i could afford to have some additional work done... Without a sale price it cost around $ 95.00 to have a GFI outlet installed outside( they tapped into a existing outlet inside.) THEY HAVE THE Fairest pricing in the San antonio... trust me I called around and had sticker shock until i called this company... THIS IS MY COMPANY FOR ANY FUTURE ELECTRICAL NEEDED by me ...no others need apply. THE OWNER and his 2 employees were polite, did the work swiftly and competently and take pride in providing excellent pricing and customer service.... can you imagine someone is actually proud of giving his customer fair pricing and does excellent work.... this company is a gem,,,,,

They missed our first appointment and didn't call, but no sweat. It wasn't an emergency. I followed up the next day and set up a follow-on appointment, which they kept. The two sons were prompt, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. I'll use them again for sure. They also identified a problem with no power to the exterior A/C outlets: The GFI switch in one of the bathrooms had tripped! Whoever would've thought the GFI for exterior outlets would be in a bathroom!
Description of Work: Installed pendant lights from existing cans in the kitchen. We provided the kits, and they did the work.

Based upon the stories I read about Crystal Electric on Angie's list I called the owner, Charlie Gallegos, one day last week. As promised, Charlie stopped by the next day and went over everything with me. He did such a good job I almost had myself believing I could do the work myself. But down deep inside I knew better. Charlie explained that he would need to work around the present big job he and his two sons were working on and the care of his 93 year old father. One can tell that Charlie is very family oriented. In fact Crystal is his daughter's name. Charlie called Monday with the estimate. I received a 10% discount with my Angie's list coupon. Today Charlie and his two sons came to perform their services. They did a real nice job. They wanted to know where the recycle bin was so they could discard the boxes. They were careful not to put trash in the recycle bin. Charlie flattened the boxes to get them to fix in the bin. Again, he gave me much information that will be helpful in my upcoming remodeling projects. I hope to be seeing Charlie and his sons again.
Description of Work: Crystal Electric performed the following services: 1. furnished and installed 4 electrical boxes for bathroom vanity light fixtures 2. installed 4 vanity light fixtures purchased by the homeowner 3. replaced a dimmer switch purchased by homeowner 4. furnished and replaced a faulty breaker 5. "killed" and removed an electrical outlet from a sunken area of a bedroom soon to be sunken no more

Although the job took longer than originally expected, I had no problems with that because I know they took the time to do things right and paid attention to detail. They took pride in their work and always cleaned up by the time we got home. I'll recommend them to anyone that needs electrical work done.
Description of Work: Crystal Electric was referred to me by Lone Star Contractors, who I found through Angie's List. They were about the 6th bid I received to have my entire house rewired to replace old knob and tube wiring, and add about 25 recessed lights and various other upgrades. Charlie, the owner, was very thorough in his initial assessment of the job and was also very familiar with the older style of house that we have. He and his sons also gave advice and recommendations throughout the process when I had to make decisions on lighting location, the ideal placement of switches, and other issues as they arose.

Everything was wonderful. They were very respectful, neat looking people that came out. They cleaned up after themselves and did not leave a mess, which was greatly appreciated. The owner even came out to make sure his crew was doing everything they were supposed to be doing. When they took my light fixture down in the bathroom, they noticed that the wiring wasn't as safe as it should be. They asked me before they did any work if I wanted them to install boxes and informed me of how much the price would be. They also said if I wanted, they could put back the light fixture back exactly the way it was before. We went ahead and had the company install the boxes. They were very sweet, competent, and punctual.
Description of Work: They replaced 3 light fixtures in my home and took down 2 chandelier light top fixtures so I could paint them. They then came back 2 days later to re-install the chandeliers.

I had initially contacted Lone Star State Construction & was advised by Dave to go directly to Crystal Electric, as they are his electric work sub-contractors. My phone message to Charlie on 7/13 was followed up by both him & his son, Albert. Albert came out on time to make an estimate on 7/14 & we agreed that he & Clay would do the work today. They arrived on time, were friendly and very efficient. They suggested a different placement for the fan that was aesthetically much better than the original spot I had chosen. The work was performed quickly and very neatly! The price was much better than a previous estimate, as well!
