Rockin' D Driveways

We had purchased some acreage with the intent on building our new home on. We found we needed some major loads of dirt here and there. Some for filling in drainage issues and some for the concrete pad on our barn/apartment. We didn't need just a yard or pickup load of dirt, we needed several truck loads. My husband found Rockin' D fairly close to us, stopped by their offices and viewed the different materials they offered. They were very helpful and knowledgable of what the different materials would provide and made recommendations. Once we decided on the dirt, they made the first delivery that day. Extremely prompt. We met the owner, Dan Surface, on the first dump as he delivered it personally. As the weeks went on and our construction started taking off we found we needed additional loads dirt and even some rocks. The winter rains began and our little access roads into and around our property quickly became swampy, muddy and nearly impassible. We called Dan for help and suggestions on what we might do to improve our accessibility as we knew the roadways were now going to be a stumbling block to our construction. Dan took us to his home nearby and showed us his personal driveway. He explained how it was built and offered a plan of action for us. Dan made the solution to our problem seem easily solvable. Again, Dan immediately went into action. His entire crew, from the office to the tractor operators were kind, helpful and knowledgable. In no time we were able to get into and around our property. From that point we purchased additional rock, put in several culverts, additional dirt, etc along our 2800 feet of roadways. Due to our barn construction, we still have a small section of roadway to finish. We didn't want the roadway adjacent to the construction torn up. We opted to hold off that section for just a while. But thanks to Rockin' D, we can even get to that area and not sink in mud. I highly recommend Rockin' D and the crew. This is a Christian, family owned and operated business. They consider their employees as family too. Rockin' D will continue to be our source for dirt, rock, gravel and driveways in the future.
