 + -1 moreLightening struck house on Tues night. My husband smelled electrical wires burning. Air conditioning, TV, garage door, few other appliances would not work. Fire department came and checked for fire in walls, found nothing burning but found hole in roof (from lightening). Thompson air came out next day and found that it was the circuit board from unit and had to order part. It is a holiday weekend and they came out on a Saturday to replace part (in my very hot attic, - Texas heat - over 100 degrees).
Description of Work: Thompson Air originally put in my AC/Heating unit about 4 years ago. Steve Thompson takes his time surveying your house and needs and writes up a detailed estimate. He is not at all pushy about higher priced units if you don't need it. My house was hit by lightening last week and my air went out. They are in the process of completing the work today (needed to get circuit board part first). They have installed AC/Heating in my quilt shop last year( 2 big units). They are wonderful, professional, and not over priced. I trust them enough to leave my house unlocked with no one there because I am at work (we live in the country). I have nothing but high praise for Mr. Thompson and his workers. Both the quilt shop & this event happened when the temp was >100 degrees. They go out of their way to get job done as quickly as possible for you. My sister across the street is getting ready to have them put a new unit in her house, too.
