Description of Work: We do not use J&S on a regular basis, but have used them for specific jobs such as flower beds and shrubs. Their work has been excellent and the price so reasonable that at times we have paid more than the bill specified. They gave us a quote that was so reasonable for weekly yard work that we would have snapped it up quickly except we had a church volunteer who is doing the work as a gift to the church. J&S responds quickly and are there when they say they will be and do not have to be supervised. You tell them what you want and they do just that. Juan also has good agriculture knowledge and landscaping abilities and ideas. We highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: I used J&S Yard Care for tree services. They did tree trimming and cutting down trees, and griding up stumps.

Description of Work: Their estimate was the most expensive, but they sounded the most knowledgeable about our needs. They did the job shorter than estimated and it looks great. We have a semi enclosed entry way that was not draining well.

Description of Work: None. Never showed up. He called a couple of weeks later asking if we still needed the work done.

Description of Work: Changed out a bad sprinkler head that was standing up too high. Got hit by mower. This was only the most recent time of service. They have kept my system serviced for several years. About a year ago they changed my unit to a digital unit and added a rain sensor.

Description of Work: We own about an acre with many flower and shrub beds. We had the yard mowed, compost spread over the entire yard, flower beds weeded and composted, then mulched, plants and shrubs trimmed. In the past he has worked to repair our irrigation system's electrical issues as well as laying new line and making repairs as needed. At one point our septic pump went out and they replaced it. We have contracted with company for many years and never been disappointed.

Description of Work: J&S built an Austin stone flower bed around the front of the house and another around a tree in the center of the yard. I had existing shrubs and a spiral juniper tree that the shape of the bed around the house was designed to curve around. The size of the bed when completed allowed me to add a row of azaleas and also annuals in the front curves. There's plenty of open space, also. A trench with concrete was made to anchor the stone. The bed is elevated above ground level. The stones are two rows high except on low areas. There they are 2 1/2 high. The stones are cut to different sizes and shapes which gives it lots of character and also makes the curves possible. The mortar was perfectly matched to the stone. Drainage holes (which I have never found) are at intervals with small stones inside the bed to keep them from clogging up. They filled it with the most amazing soil. It stays soft all the time--and almost no weeds. It was then topped with black mulch containing weed control. I have replaced this mulch each year. J&S also did work on the flower bed at my church. The existing bed around our sign was small with good foundation plantings but with very little room for annuals. The soil was bad. Nothing grew well even though we filled it with top soil every year (where this soil went each year is a mystery). I had J&S increase the bed by 6 inches on each side, put in that great soil they do, and put a single line stone border around it! It perfectly matches the brick on the sign. They also planted a new kind of annuals and added black mulch. We are all very happy with this bed.
