These guys were fantastic! They handled all of our antiques with care, were super careful not to damage out new hardwood floors and walls. The crew, headed by Bryan, were all very polite, pleasant, and easy to work with as we guided them to place our belongings in the appropriate rooms. We are so glad we were able to find the right people to handle our moving. I give them an A+ on all of it!

Not well

We were not informed at any time during these two moves that Chapman does not insure items moved to a storage unit. Robin Vaughn, who scheduled the moves, told me that Chapman's insurance agent could not find any written information that Chapman is not responsible for damaged items moved to a storage unit. She did tell me that Chapman does not know what happens to items once moved to a storage unit so therefore, they take no liability. I told Robin that Chapman does not know what happens to anything moved anywhere, so it didn't make sense. And I told Robin that we did not have disclosure of this information prior to, during, or after the moves, until the day I called to request a claim form. Ms. Vaughn continually reiterated that Chapman Transfer will not pay for storage unit damage. When we did finally receive claim forms, it was senseless to file a claim that we were told will not be considered or paid. We did file a complaint with the BBB whom advised us that they are not consumer advocates, so therefore, since Chapman Transfer did offer to review our claim, the BBB was closing the complaint case as resolved, even though Chapman Transfer still refused responsibility.
