Saxon Roofing & Repair

A strong wind storm in January blew shingles off our roof in Brenham, and our insurance would only cover the front half of the roof where the shingles were missing. We searched Angie's List for a roofer with good reviews and contacted three to replace the entire roof on both our home and detached garage. We were impressed with Steve from our first phone conversation with him and the competitiveness of his bid, and awarded the project to Saxon Roofing. They arrived on time as promised and completed the work promptly and professionally - their crew chief and project manager were passionate about the quality of their work. I don't ever remember having a better experience or outcome than this roof installation. Thank you Steve, and your whole crew!!

The crew came and did work. Roof was done properly. At the end of job there were two minor issues that needed correcting. I had difficulty getting Steve Saxon to call me back and when he did I had a very unpleasant conversation with him. If you are thinking about using Saxon Roofing, I would strongly suggest you talk to Mr. Saxon before you hire his company. He is not the person I want to do business with.

Saxon’s crew did an excellent job on my roof replacement! I am very happy with the beautiful roof for my home and garage. The work was completed as promised by John. Also Bob the foreman explained and clarified all my questions during the whole process. I especially love the detail in painting the exhaust pipes to match the roof shingles. Steve Saxon was most helpful in determining what type of roof we needed to replace our old roof. The work was done so professionally. It only took a day and a half. Steve made sure we were more than satisfied with job. We are VERY pleased with our roof and the service we received.

Although I did not choose Saxon Roofing and Repair, I wanted to acknowledge that Stephen spent 45 minutes on the phone with me patiently answering my many questions. I was in the process of learning and of finalizing the companies I would ask to come to the house to inspect and then bid. I live in the Medical Center and Stephen's company is in the Conroe area. I decided I had 3-4 closer companies to choose from and Saxon's website said they focused in Montgomery County. I called Stephen and he was already working on the bid!!! (how fast is that) but he said he was just trying to accommodate my request in spite of the distance (how wonderful is that). He was very kind and understanding. If I lived in Montgomery County, his company would definitely be on my short list of companies to bid on my roof replacement.

The roof replacement was quick and easy. Steve was anxious to get the work done. The crew finished in a single day. They cleaned up afterwards. The roof looks good. We are happy with their work and intend to hire Steve again. The siding repair took a single worker three or four days, working when he could. He did a good job, too.

I can't say enough good things about Saxon roofing. One of the only roofers I had that didn't show up and ask me right off the bat if it was insurance money. Which always makes me feel like they're about to give me the shaft. Which Steve never did ask about! Steve was very friendly and helpful during the whole process. Also Bob there site manager was very professional and friendly. I felt like his whole crew went over and beyond my expectations. I would definitely use Saxon Roofing again in the future.

Saxon Roofing is the BEST! They had our roof completed in 1 day....fastest ever! Steve's crew, are such go getters, they stop for a short lunch break, then back to work! We could not believe they finished the roof in one day, we were expecting it to take at least 2 or 3. When roof was completed there clean up was very thorough. In fact they were so good we have future projects already scheduled, gutters, painting and fence replacement. We would recommend Saxon Roofing to anyone! BEST looking roof ever!!!

Stephen was excellent. He spent a great deal of time discussing our options. He was fast to respond to our requests and answer our questions. The roof looks amazing! We went with Certainteed Max Def Weatherwood. It looks fantastic against the white brick. Their team was very responsible in cleaning up the entire area outside from debris, nails and materials. We will use again, in fact, we are working up a quote with them now to install new siding.

Mr. Saxon was very professional. His crew completed our roof very quickly! I would definitely use him and his crew again and highly recommend him.

Honestly, this company got straight A’s and deserves every one. I’ve had roofs installed before but this company was excellent in every area. They were fair, the quality of work was superb, they were prompt, courteous, and cleaned up every piece of debris when they were finished! Congratulations on a great company!!!!

Talked to the owner. To me, it's all about listening. If they'll listen to me, and schedule me, and keep me up rest to what's going on, then we're good. They've been good. They responded promptly. I don't have a problem getting in touch with them.

I've used them in the past. I used them a little over a year ago for the exact same problem.This wasn't related to their work. The work the guy did at the time, what is it, it's just an old roof, the original roof. In a way I could say I wish they had done a little better work the first time they were out, but it's all based on what you see at the time. I can't fault him. He went around the house and did stuff I didn't even ask him to check, but he went around and checked the whole house and said, "There's going to be some future problems here if we don't take care of it." He did all that for a reasonable price. I was happy with the work a year ago, and it worked for a year. I didn't have any problem. This last hard rain caught me off guard and the leak started in the same place. A different crew came out, he said, "Whoever put the roof on your house, they just didn't put your roof on right." He showed it to me and showed me where it was. It just wasn't done right, so it wore out over time. It didn't last as long as it should. He did a good job. He came out the next day. He worked until 8 o'clock that day. He came early. He did everything right.

It was a very good experience. The gentlemen who did the work, Shane and Gary were knowledgeable, professional and absolutely wonderful to work with. I was extremely pleased with the results and I would recommend Turnkey Construction/Saxon Roofing to anyone who needs quality work done at a reasonable price. These guys are the greatest!! They had previously replaced my roof, which was in horrible shape. Again, this was a wonderful experience, very professional and quality work, and absolutely wonderful people to work with.

Steve and his crew were very professional and very fast. The replaced unanticipated decking damage due to water at no additional charge and they were very diligent in making sure that the area around the chimney was well protected to ensure the leak was completely fixed. We will absolutely work with them again in the future.
