Rothco Tree Service

I purchased this home and an additional adjoining back lot in 2011. In the Fall of 2012 I had a major landscaping performed by a Landscaper I also found on Angie's List. I was blown away by that Landscaper and love the results. I kept 2 of the existing trees and cut down all of the others and planted many more new trees That Landscaper was Yard Birds whom I still use today with mulching, more plants and gardens, etc. However, this review is about Rothco Tree Services, not Yard Birds. Just wanted to give you a bit of background because I am so proud of my property and Angie's List for the beauty of it all. Now, one of the existing trees I kept was a 60' Pine Tree from the back lot I purchased. It was obvious that it had never be trimmed or pruned. I decided to try one of Angie's local tree service vendors. I chose Rothco Tree Services. I called on a Monday about 10am. Matthew came out that afternoon at the time stated and from my input as to what I wanted, gave me a quote and description of what and how his company would do it. I accepted the pricing, we set a time of 1:00pm for the coming Wednesday. Rothco arrived 10 minutes before 1:00pm on Wednesday. Matthew and Justin & Justin's tree crew went to work. They did a beautiful job and it only took 2 hours! 4 guys with ladders, ropes, and saws literally attacked this tree and the results are the most beautiful Pine Tree in the Subdivision in my opinion. They had a wood shredder with them, cleaned up all of the branches, and all that was left was a beautiful pine tree. It was almost magical. Matthew, Justin, and all of the Rothco crew were very professional and respectful. to me and my yard. They were excellent from start to finish. As my many new trees grow, I will definitely use Rothco Tree Services. This is about the 8th vendor I have used from Angie's list. Anigie......you have only provided me with excellent vendors. Not a problem in the bunch. Way to go Rothco!! Way to go Angie!!

They were fantastic. I think we've had them out twice now. The pricing is great and the work they do is high quality. We've been happy. They came out within a few weeks after we purchased the big deal. There were no additional charges beyond the big deal amount. They've got this big machine that like mulches it all up so when they leave there is nothing left. We got a few different prices and that was the best. All the people were good.

Fantastic, really pleased, tree close to house but taken down safely, all bits of tree removed and area left tidy, polite friendly people.

Matthew and his crew arrived on time. Everything was done according to what were discussed previously. They cut down additional branches of my pine tree even though the estimate only included one branch. Job was done very quickly and everything was cleaned up very nicely. I am very happy with their work and will hire them again!!

Rothco exceeded my expectations in every way! I don't normally (ever) use sports analogies, but in this case I feel compelled to say that Rothco knocked this one out of the ballpark on the first pitch of the game. "Home Run! That Ball Is OUT OF HERE, Folks!" From the first meeting with Matthew for the initial bid, to the follow-up conversations and scheduling, thru to the final inspection, Rothco were true to their word. The quality of the work exceeded my expectations considering that they were the lowest cost bid. My expectations were kinda low going into the work, but I could not be happier. I will be certain to use them again for all my future tree trimming needs.

Appointment was easy to schedule. Crew arrived late due to accident delay on road. However I was notified that crew would be late. Crew arrived and verified the job to be done. The tree was approximately 40+ feet tall, close to the house and surrounded by landscaping and lawn irrigation system. After seeing the location of the tree and the landscaping the crew leader cautioned me that the heavy equipment used to ground out the stump might damage the irrigation system in that area. I elected to have the tree cut close to the ground and maybe later have the stump ground out. The job began with one crew member climbing to the top of the tree and carefully removing the top portion. Each tree segment was carefully lowered to the other workers and removed. The stump was cut low to the ground and is hidden by landscaping. Clean up was meticulous in the yard, driveway and on the roof. The entire crew was professional, courteous and efficient.

Excellent. At first there was some confusion as I live outside the area that Rothco normally services. However, I had pre-purchased a certificant and they honored it. A crew met me at my home at noon and by the time I got home the end of the day had completely finished the job, cleaned everything up, and left me with three very healthly looking trees. I was very pleased with the service and plan on using them again when I replace a few trees in the front of the house.

The crew arrived early in the morning (ahead of the appointment time) to trim and prune two big trees we have in the front yard of our new house. The tree branches were covering the house windows and you could barely see the house front from the street anymore. They also trimmed a palm tree in the front yard. The crew supervisor was very courteous and diligent. They took about 3 hours to complete the job and it was excellent. The house looks a lot better now yet we still have the beautiful trees in the front yard. Definitively satisfied with the job. I would use them again and recommend them.

All limbs and twigs were picked up and the yard looked great when they were done. Thank you!

I met with Mathew on a Tuesday and they started the next day in the morning. He gave me a fair price on the spot. He stuck to the price and did all the work asked. Very good service.

We had a tree fall in our backyard several weeks ago. We have been working on chopping it up ourselves but with life always getting in the way the task became overwhelming. We also needed a much larger chainsaw than we owned. We decided to call in the pros! As a surprise "early Christmas present" for my boyfriend we hired Rothco. We purchased the coupon on angie's list for $279 to have them come out and finish up the job. We advised them that this was to be a surprise so if my boyfriend was home they were not to enter the property or to make contact with him. They did an excellent job! When they first came out to the property to see if the coupon would cover the work they noticed that we had a couple other trees on the property that were dead. One that was at risk of falling on the house. The gave me a quote of $300-$400 to cut the tree down. They said the tree required a lot of "technical" work and ropes because of the location and the height. I would agree it was one of the taller trees on the property and it bumped up to our deck and loomed over our house. We agreed to have this tree removed at the same time that they cut up the remaining of the other fallen tree. I purchased the coupon on Angie's list on a Monday night, Rothco was out at the property Wednesday morning first thing. They completed the job by Wednesday afternoon. They kept me informed of their arrival and their departure and left a receipt. Once I returned to the property later that evening I was highly impressed to find that everything was 1. the way that we left if (e.g. gates closed, etc...) 2. the job site cleaned up, only saw dust remained (no bottles or trash) 3. Personal property that was in the tree was well cared for as if it was their own. (bird houses and such placed on the porch) 4. Logs stacked where we asked The only thing that remained of the trees was a tiny lip of a stump and the beaten ground from where the massive tree had fallen weeks prior. The only thing I think that would have made this experience better would have been for Rothco to split the wood, but hey a girl can dream right? Rothco did an amazing job and we look forward to having them out again to remove two more dead trees.

Rothco came and gave us a bid before we purchased the "Deal." We really appreciated that! It enabled us to determine if the deal was worth it, and it was. They did an exceptional job, going beyond what they were expected to do. We will definitely call them again for trimming and removing trees!

Matthew and Justin were punctional, professional and very customer focused. They did exactly as they promised, can by and checked on the job throughout the day and their crew was the best. The removed 3 very difficult large trees against the house and 2 others trees, one next to the septic tanks. I keep the oak wood I need which they stacked up for me and they hauled off the rest. After the stump grinding was complete, you could not even tell they had been there. Great service, professional and pricing was at the market level. I will definitely use again. Thanks guys.

Wow, this crew was amazing to watch! They showed up with a very impressive team. Had the tree down in no time and cleaned up the yard immaculately. I would highly recommend. Used $50 Angie's list coupon brought price down to a reasonable $275

I highly recommend this company. From the first phone call to the finish they were professional, took care of business and did an outstanding job. I highly recommend this company. The board was very happy with my choice of contractors and the job they did.

This company is simply amazing! We have used them every few months (our trees either get hit by lightening or dying from the drought). Each time they have the same crew, are extremely professional, fast and clean up every twig. Have I said amazing?! We recently had two mature pines that had been stressed by a lightening strike this summer and they couldn't survive. During the time between when I bought the special and when I was able to get on their schedule (they are busy) numerous tree companies kept stopping by to give me an estimate. Nope, I have my forever tree company!!

They came on time to look at the extent of the job and when they showed up to perform the work. They did exactly what we had discussed in an efficient manner. They were real friendly and wanting to please. I was very satisfied with the work they did in trimming the trees. They used a Bobcat to clean up all the tree limbs and caused some damage to the lawn. Spinning the wheels on the Bobcat caused one fairly deep rut.

It went very well and very quickly. Their team was in and out in under 45 minutes.

This was the second time I've used Rothco for tree services and I'm just as pleased with their service as I was the first time. They removed three massive pines that were close to the house and driveway. Just like before, they were very careful and took the time to make sure the area was cleaned up before leaving. If it weren't for the stumps left behind, you'd never know they were here.

Both Justin and Matthew were very well spoken and professional when they came out to give us an estimate. The estimate they gave was $700. However, it only cost me $479 in total after utilizing the coupon on Angie's List. This was a lot less than what I was quoted by two other contractors. The crew showed up earlier than expected and did exactly what was asked of them. They cleaned up the yard upon finishing the job. I certainly will use them again!
