On the painting job, I would say an A. The drywall repair, probably a B.

I very seldom give excellent for reviews, I think there is always room for improvement. With that being said, I would use Southern Painting again. Bill and the workers are very professional and prompt did a good job and were quick to come back and do touch ups after the job was done.

It took them a week to complete the job as there was a lot of repair work and caulking, and they did an excellent job for a competitive price. The painters were, of course, friendly and professional, and they cleaned up after themselves which we appreciated.

Arrived on time with a bug big crew to do the job quickly. Help pick out colors. I had emergency surgery after the first day. They handled everything beautifully even though I wasn't there. Completely covered all floors and furniture before painting. Retextured where needed. Trim was painted nicely in white. All inm all, an excellent job at #100 cheaper than the next lowest bid.

Friendly service from the owner and the crew. Prompt response - they fitted our realtively small job in at sort notice alongside another smaller job they had going. The price was 60% of that quoted by the painting provider we have used previously and the work was indistinguishable in quality. Job was completed rapidly. Would not hesitate to use them in future, very happy with the service. My neighbours (both realtors hence they know the good value when they see it) requested a quote from the company on the same day and accepted on the sopt.

Both my husband and I were thrilled with Bill Cook and his crews! They were all very respectful, polite and great painters! It is quite understandable why Southern Painting is a standout among painting companies! I'm looking forward to having them back to paint the other half of my home in the future!!

What a value! These guys did a fantastic job. They were professional in their approach to the job. Promptly arrived on time and finished the job on time. They worked around and moved as necessary our furniture and repaired any picture holes and settling cracks in the walls. They also provide home decorating advice and made the entire process a breeze to deal with.

It was great. There used to be wallpaper-you'd never know there was wallpaper there now. We are going to use them again.

I called and talked to Bill Cook, who came by the next day to give us an estimate. The work was done five days later on a Saturday. Everyone was punctual, and Bill came with a team of 4-5 workmen. They were punctual and clean. Bill set up the job and then left after he was sure the team understood what to do. They did excellent work, the painting was done very well and there was no mess at all. It looks beautiful. I thought the cost was reasonable.

Southern Painting has painted every square inch of my house at one time or another over the past couple of years. We are getting the house ready for sale and just before we put it on the market, we had a HUGE plumbing leak. The plumbers had to put several large holes in the sheetrock to get to the pipes. After it was all fixed, I called Bill Cook. As in my past experience with him, he responded quickly and appeared at my door to assess the job a few hours later. He gave me an estimate and we scheduled the job. He and his crew showed up on time and did a very professional job repairing the damage. When they were through, you'd never know that just a few hours earlier the wall had huge holes in it! I was very happy! I wouldn't use anybody else.

They had great service and were quick, clean and on-time. I found them on Angie's List and will use them again in the future.

The prices were reasonable. They did consistent and solid work. The quality was good. The responsiveness and punctuality were pretty good. I'll definitely consider using them.

They did a fantastic job, they really did. The job is holding up very well. They were very professional. The individuals doing the work really took pride in their work. They refinished the sheet rock like nothing had ever happened.

Bill at Southern Painting managed professional service from start to finish. The communication and flexibility throughout the process was excellent. I started a new job, so my mom helped with letting the painters into my house. They completed the job on time, and their work was high quality. I had another contractor lined up to do this job for $125, but he was unable to fit me in to his schedule the week I was off. I called Southern painting on Wednesday morning, and the owner came that afternoon to give an estimate. They were able to come out the next day to complete the job. The guys were nice and professional, and the quality of the work was perfect. They also did a very nice clean-up. I am very pleased with this company.

Very professional outfit! I contacted this company on the recommendation of a couple of my coworkers who had used their services. I wanted them to paint the exterior of my home, one interior room, and some windowsills and interior trim. I sent a note to the owners via their website asking for an estimate and received a return phone call within 24 hours, even though it was the weekend. We made an appointment for an estimate the same week. I was very impressed when in advance of this meeting, I received a confirmation email that included a copy of the company's liability insurance certificate, confirmation of their BBB membership, a FAQ regarding their services, AND a picture of the person who would be coming to my home. Bill Cook came to my home and gave me a very thorough estimate, and was very honest about what they could and could not do. We scheduled a time for the actual painting within a week of the estimate. This was a three-day process with powerwashing the first day (which included my driveway and sidewalks), caulking and priming the second day, and the actual painting on third day. The guys did a beautiful job, (even restained my front door) and I'm really happy with the work they did. Since I usually do my own painting, I tend to be very critical, but I can honestly say that this was a near perfect job. I would definitely use them again!

They are the ones who were recommended by the plumber. They did a very good job. They came right in and they worked with the plumbers. Each had their own jobs to do. They didn't have to wait until the plumbers were done, which was great. It didn't take as long. The workmanship was expert, especially with sheetrocking. They were very efficient. That was the first time I had ever hired somebody to do anything else, but it turned out pretty good. The price was good for what they had to do. Their responsiveness was very good.

Previous to brining in Southern Painting, we hired an uncertified contracter whose first job was to strip the kitchen cabinets that were stained cherry red, demo the backsplash tile, and repaint the kitchen walls. Additionally they were to patch, texture and repaint a living room wall where speakers had been pulled; repaint the dining room in two colors (top and bottom of the chair rail); repaint the master bedroom that has one 12 ft wall; and strip wallpaper, skim, texture and repaint two bathrooms (one powder room and the master bath.) These guys never finished the kitchen and left the house a complete mess. They demanded full payment before completion even though they had been "working" for four weeks at that point, and even though their emailed quote was quite clear that half would be paid upon finishing the kitchen and the remaining amount upon completion. The product they used to strip the stain dripped gooey globs all over the counter and floors, and only after sanding the heck out of the cabinets did they think to cover the floors and counter. They had removed the oven and microwave to complete the sanding, but only after Southern Painting lifted the plastic off the floors did we discover they scratched the floors when moving the appliances. They used masking tape to secure the plastic on the hardwood which then lifted the varnish off the wood when removed. Yes there was wood dust everywhere. Yes it was a family effort to sweep, vacuum and damp cloth clean every nook and cranny both inside the kitchen and in adjacent rooms. To add, it was also a family effort to finish stripping the wallpaper in the bathrooms. (The man NOT to call is Frank Morales.) We finally decided to call in a better contractor. When we agreed with Southern Painting we had reviewed the quotes from three other contractors who priced double plus what Chris and his crew were asking for. When Chris and Rene arrived with their team, they were courteous, cautious, and reviewed all details with me before proceeding. They managed to match paint colors without our intervention. (The previous guys made a bid deal anout this and actually asked us to come to the paint store with them to purchase the paint.) SOUTHERN PAINTING FINISHED THE KITCHEN IN LESS THAN ONE WEEK! We couldn't believe it! Chris even went the extra mile to go to the Home Depot to buy undercabinet lighting during business hours when I coulnd't get away from the office. We spoke or texted the entire week to get the job done to meet our satisfaction. All rooms were left clean, all remaining paint was left in the garage, and we didn't lose any vanity lights or other tools we had in the garage. Most importantly, they finished when they said they would. Chris and Rene were always courteous and happy to please and gave careful attention to detail. The rest of the repaint work was completed a few days later now we've asked them to finish off other rooms. I completely vouch for their quality workmanship and integrity and would recommend them to anyone at any time.

However, we could never get the quote from him. Called numerous times, always leaving a message on his cell or at the office. He never had the curtesy to return our calls....even to just say he would be delayed. We tried for several weeks to get the quote, as we wanted to use him. After more than a month, we caught him on the phone. He said he would work up the quote and send it...so it had never been done. When we got it, there were items that weren't clear. We couldn't tell if the quote included everything, or if he had forgotten to include some things. We called to ask for clarity but again it became a cat and mouse game never being able to reach him. Once again, he wouldn't return phone calls. We asked the office girl why he wouldn't return calls....she was very nice but didn't have an answer, only offered to pass the message. After a lot of headaches and frustration, we finally caught him again. We asked for clarity on the estimate, if it included this and that, etc. He said he would look at it and get back. Still, waiting another week or two, he never called back. We started the calls again........ After a while, we just gave up. This guy didn't want the work. He never called back. Although he looked and acted professional in person, he certainly did not handle our needs professionally at all!! We were eager to use him because we liked how he initially presented himself. However, after months of trying to chase him down and going out of our way to overlook his disrespect.....we decided that we did not like the way he ran his business....and became concerned that if this is how he treated a potential customer before they signed the contract, what sort of problem might occur afterwards. We preferred working with someone who was more professional, who was glad to have our business and who we were glad to pay for good work! Perhaps this was a one-time experience. We don't know. He did seem a little depressed...maybe there was a personal issue going on?? Who knows?? We got a Southern Painting brochure at a home show, so we didn't know them from Adam. It is a franchise business. We were eager to get our work done and willing to pay a fair price for an excellent job. Instead, this guy wasted our time.
