 + -1 moreMy air conditioner stopped cooling and I called for a service appt. They were able to come the same day and were on time. Due to the fact that I had a significant freon leak and considering the age of my system, I was given options concerning what I could replace and the cost of each. Mr.Rogers explained all my options very clearly and I never felt like I was pressured. I decided to replace the air handler, the outside unit and a new thermostat came with it. The install crew was very busy and I had to wait about five days for the install. That was understandable. Mr. Rogers came by a few days early to check out the space in the hall to ensure there would be no issues in moving the new air handler in. His crew was professional and finished the job the day promised. The air is working beautifully and I am looking forward to a little savings on my electricity bill with this more efficient unit.

 + -1 moreCalled representative about air conditioner problem and received same day service. I was not at home when Steve & helper arrived, so I left my house key for them as they are trustworthy. Notified by Steve, via phone about air conditioner problem and remedy. Excellent! I really appreciated Resource Mechanical's quick response to my air conditioner need! I am a long time customer, fully satisfied with their excellent service and I recommended them to friends!
Description of Work: Air conditioning service, unit not coming on, issue with tripped breakers. Unit assessed and problems resolved in addition to other items handled. Algaecide tabs added to pans, exposed electric wires covered in attic, freon check, coils checked etc.

 + -1 moreAs stated above, the work went quite well. We have been dealing with ReSource Mechanical for about 18 years now. During that time, they have performed annual inspections and many minor repairs. Additionally, they have replaced three entire centralA/C and heating units, three outside units, three evaporator coils, and one blower. We have always been satisfied with their work. Their prices are fair, not the lowest, but below the bandits in the business. They completely stand behind their work and are very responsive when contacted. We rely heavily on their Senior Technician, Steve Breiner, and always ask for him by name. He is a straight shooter who always defines optional approaches to solving a particular problem, assuming there are more than one, to allow us to make reasonably intelligent decisions balancing cost vs. likely benefit. We recommend ReSource Mechanical and Steve Breiner very highly.
Description of Work: Our house has five central A/C units. Each Spring, we have ReSource Mechanical check out each unit and do what it takes for efficient performance. This year, two units were low on freon. Leak testing determined that the leaks were in the evaporator coils and repairing would be impractical. The technician charged the units with freon. Later that day we had a firm quote for the recommended work, and an appointment was set for the following week. On one of the units, the outisde unit had been replaced three years prior, so we decided to replace the evaporator coil only. On the other unit, which was 12 years old, we decided to replace the entire unit with a new high efficiency unit. The first visit, which also included replacing a flue gas blower in a third unit, took approximately 1/2 day. The replacement work described above took about 2 1/2 days, utilizing two and sometimes three technicians. The work proceeded very well, considering we were dealing with retrofitting old equipment with new equipment having somewhat different dimensions than the old.

Description of Work: Resource Mechanical has been our service provider for ac/heat for over 20 years and did an excellent job of keeping our units running and in good repair. In December of 2011 we had them install a new ac/heat unit and again they handled the job in a very proifessional but caring manner. Wayne Rogers has one of the few companies that still believes in and delivers quality service.

Description of Work: I used Resource Mechanical Inc in May of 2011. They fixed the air conditioner for me. They replaced my heaters long ago, and they replaced the air conditioning units in the past years. They have done routine annual inspections on the heating and air conditioning units.

 + -1 moreI actually contacted Wayne in July 2006 to install central HVAC; but the project stalled out when I couldn't find a reputable and honest electrician. Within a 2-week period we picked up the project and got it done. Wayne met with my plumber and they agreed upon what needed to be done. My home had been recently rewired and the electric already done except for hook up. Within a week of the meeting the work was scheduled. Wayne was very sympathetic to my work situation and scheduled the start on Friday so I only had to take one day off from work. It was the coldest day we had had in Houston, so they were able to get my heater installed and operational that first day. I was very impressed with the conscientiousness of the workman and the neatness of their work. I had previously had my home rewired and I was to used to seeing such industry. Good job!!!
Description of Work: A completely new installation of HVAC from existing a/c window units and space heaters. Installed RUUD 3 ton high efficiency condenser and RUUD horizontal gas furnace with all duct work, thermostat, lines and drains.
