Randy showed up quickly for a quote for new shelf Installation and gave what seemed to be a reasonable bid. I hired him for a job he told me should take no more than 1 to 2 days, though the contract listed 3 to 4. After his guys got started, it became evident that subpar materials were being used, and the approaching finish to the project was just awful, and not worth the price we were paying. He admitted he did not place his best men on the job and had not been happy with the way the project was turning out. Why he didn't put a stop to it there, rather than letting his workers continue, I have no idea. He ended up tearing out all of the shelves and had to start over. There were multiple delays because of one of his workers getting sick, and because he was working other projects, his team would often not show up until 3 or 4 PM, pushing the project back later and later. They consistently showed up at least an hour late, and he allowed the workers who "were not his best" to continue on the job. There were multiple times after the restart that errors had to be corrected and entire new pieces installed. In the end our finished project looked decent with some flaws, but it was clear that he could not keep the promises he was making on efficiency, quality without supervision and timeliness.

R J Construction did a great job. They were very quick and well prepared. You can tell that these guys were professionals. I have never seen someone work at such a fast pace and still do an excellent job. I thought they were very nice people as well. Concrete is not an easy job. They do not seem to mind it one bit. They actually seem to enjoy it very much.
