Quality of work was excellent. Pickup & delivery was included in the cost, which was lower than the other two bids I received. They finished on time. We definitely will use them again.

I cannot say enough good things about Denrick's work. I purchased this settee in rough shape 14 years ago. It magically survived my college career, but was definitely worse for the wear. The settee has button tufting all across the back and tiny nails were used to hold the fabric onto the frame. After purchasing the fabric myself, Denrick totally transformed the piece. He had the springs in the seat repaired, added a new cushion and covered the settee in 2 different fabrics. It's like a new piece of furniture. The craftsmanship is quite evident. His attention to detail is excellent. Denrick is truly a master of his craft. I believe the spring repair was more extensive than he anticipated, but he did not charge me any extra from what he originally quoted. He said the entire project would take 3-4 weeks because someone else would repair the springs and the new cushion would have to be ordered and shipped. He delivered the settee back to me exactly 4 weeks later. I'm so pleased with how it turned out and excited it will be in good shape for at least the rest of my life. Amazing, detailed and beautiful work!

He did a beautiful job on the sofa. The nailheads were lined up perfectly and the welting was done well. I wasn't happy with the way the back cushions came out. it wasn't a mistake on his part, just a preference. He worked with me on that and we got it taken care of. I had two arched-backed little art deco accent chairs from my living room that I wanted made into Parson's chairs for the dining table. A carpenter friend built the wooden frame higher on the backs. Denrick did a beautiful job on the padding, upholstery and stitching. They turned out beautifully and are certainly one of a kind. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again. If I can find the material I want for several other projects I will be calling him.

Derrick Harris was knowledgeable, polite and caring. He gave a fair quote and reasonable time to complete the work. I would return to his shop.

Bottom line is that Dedrick did a fantastic recover job. We had a vertical lines on one pattern, and he matched them cushion and back of sofas. Same for cushions themselves as well as arm covers. He also replaced a spring in one of the sofas. We'd use him again in a heartbeat without a second thought. We learned some useful tips from him - especially about how the width of the material can be a critical variable that affects how much material is used to cover something. It has to do with the need to center the material for matching purposes, so that the width of the furniture piece can dictate the most efficient width. Next time we will consult Dedrick first about optimum width before we shell out $$ for material. He delivered the finished furniture exactly when he promised. It took a while the first time, because he had many orders ahead of ours (a good sign, right?). The second set of sofas came back quickly, because we were at the head of the line then. Goes to prove my old adage that you always get better results when you deal directly with an owner/operator!

Contacted D & B to re-upholster 3 very old chairs. They needed some extra work such as foam and added seat support. The chairs came back looking better than new. I am very pleased with the quality of workmanship and the price. Would use D & B in the future. Dorothy Valdez Friendswood, TX

Denrick/D&B provided quite a competitive bid to refinish my two swivel rockers. From the start, he was accessible and easy to work with. He was able to also accept the pics I texted to produce an estimate. Workmanship was nicely done and the skirt was hemmed precisely. Denrick had a nice selection of fabrics to choose from. He also replaced one cushion at a reasonable price, too. Since D&B has a sizeable customer-base, I was glad he was able to fit me in as soon as he did. Although he gave me a timetable of 4 weeks to get the work done, it took considerably less than that - a pleasant surprise. A rocker pedestal which was replaced on one of the chairs did not have quite the right fit. So, Denrick is finding another replacement for me. His meticulous service is appreciated.

He knew what he was about. Helped me choose the right material and pattern. He called me the day it was promised and I am overwhelmed at how beautiful the chair turned out.

He came to my house to pick up the chair and give me an estimate. He said it was going to cost $295 without the fabric, just labor cost. I told him I had seen various photos of work he had done on Angie's list for less money and he said he had never done that. I didn't argue because when someone calls you a liar, the best thing is to stop right there. He was very rude. That was my opinion and that of my daughter. Reason why? He said: "well, are you going to do the chair of what? Right there I made my decision I was not going to. Didn't care for his demeanor and the way he conducts business. I know for a fact that there are photos of his work with other customers for less than $295. My daughter said something about the cushion on the chair and he said those were springs and that I needed to do them in foam but that was another $35 dollars. My daughter is the type of person that always finds the good in everyone but not with this person. The worse part is that he was rude and offered no incentives for us to go with him. I rather buy a new chair than deal with this vendor.

We are very satisfied. The chairs look great! It was very convenient having them picked up and dropped off at our house, the work was completed within about 3 weeks as promised. I would definitely use this upholsterer again and would recommend as well.

Mr. Denrick worked with my timeline. He was upfront with any potential delays. My furniture is beautiful. My family can not believe they are the same furniture.

We called several people for service, but few returned our calls or e-mails. The other one that did had a higher price. Denrick (owner of D&B) answered his phone promptly and returned my calls quickly. He picked up the chairs when promised and delivered them in time for a party. I told him I really needed him to not be late on delivery. He promised he would have them back to me in time and he delivered just as he said he would. The chairs were perfectly done. The fabric was exactly as we chose and they look as good as new.

Mr. Denrick was wonderful. I wanted an upholstered pad for a bench. Denrick was accommodating of what I needed and recommended doing it in a way that would save me money. His price was almost $100 less than other quotes and his work was amazing. The work was so good that when he dropped the bench off i had him give me quotes on several other pieces I'd like to update.

Denrick worked wonders! He came to our home, we chose the fabric from Denrick's selection, off he went with the three pieces and they came back looking fantastic. The workmanship was first rate and it looks as though we bought a brand new sofa set. And I can't help also mentioning Denrick's charming, easy-going personality highlighted by his obvious skilled knowledge of the upholstery business. We would highly recommend D&B Upholstery.

Mr. Harris had a full schedule so it took some time to complete the job but it was definitely worth the wait! His workmanship is excellent even though he had to work with heavy duty stain-resistance fabric that I provided - not an easy job. I would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

Mr Harris, is a good man to do business with. He is professional, keeps his word, and does very great work at a reasonable price. This is the second time Mr Harris as done upolstrey work for me and I'll use him again.

I bought the leather to recover the chairs with Denrick's help. I got a lot of samples and he came by the house to help me choose the correct type of leather and color. I ordered the leather and he came by to pick it and the chairs up last week. He called tonight to let me know they were ready and dropped them off a short time later. The chairs are upholstered on both sides of the backs and on the seats and there is cording on all of the edges. Denrick did a beautiful job of upholstering the chairs and the cording is perfect. I'm very pleased with the color and feel of the leather and I'm sure we'll enjoy these chairs for many years to come. Denrick is also very careful not to waste fabric so I have enough to cover two more chairs if I can find some that will look good with what we have now. I will definitely recommend Denrick to others and have him do work for us again. He is a pleasure to work with and with two young dogs I'll probably always have a job for him.

Denrick was a pleasure to work with and his work is immaculate. We love the size of our old couch, but it was in serious need of an update. He replaced the foam (one seat cushion where there were previously three, three back cushions where there were originally six pillows) and added legs, then upholstered the entire thing in new fabric. His expertise in this field is obvious. He had detailed answers to my questions: i.e., how high the legs should be, how firm the foam should be, etc. He also reupholstered our two wingback recliners. HIs customer service is excellent. He drove to my house to look over my furniture and give me an estimate. He drove back a few weeks later to pick it up, then brought it back when it was done. No charge. We were having our floors redone, so he was willing to take our furniture a bit early and keep it until he finished another job, freeing us from the problem of schlepping three heavy pieces of furniture around the house during the floor installation. He kept me updated by sending pictures via phone. The furniture is 100 percent comfortable and beautiful. Denrick is worth every penny. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat.

His advice was excellent and he even went to Macy's with us to examine the cushions on a couch that we liked. Everything turned out perfectly and we are very pleased with the way they have held up. I was so pleased with his work that I asked him to recover two Queen Ann chairs I inherited from my mother. They had been left outside under a tarp for over a year and were in horrible shape. He totally rebuilt the chairs from the frame out and now they are beautiful and comfortable. I was concerned that I hadn't purchased enough fabric, but he had plenty and even returned a couple of yards to me. I called Denrick again in November of 2013 to speak to him about recovering our dining room chairs. He helped me to choose the leather from samples I got online and I ordered the leather. Unfortunately he called after the first of the year and told me that he had been in the hospital with a serious illness and needed time to recover. Denrick's work is exemplary and he's wonderful to work with. I hope that we will have the opportunity to work with him again soon, but I'm willing to wait until he's ready.

In three weeks, they said that the upholsterer was rushed to the hospital and would be unable to complete work, he marked in blue ink on my furniture.

He did a wonderful job. He was the first one on the list, I called him and said he'd be there immediately and he did. He was there the very next day with samples and everything. He was great and he knows what he is doing and he is a very nice man.

We loved the style of our living furniture, but wanted to change to leather upholstery. After shopping for several weeks without success, we decided to check with D&B to see what it would take to upholster our sofa and loveseat. Dendrick came to our house with several samples and sent pictures of his work. It appeared to be very fairly priced and quality work, but we happened to find exactly what we were looking for and no longer needed his service. We will call him back if we need something reupholstered in the future.

He did an excellent job. It was hard to believe the chair I picked up was the same one I had left. Absoulitly a fantastic job. Very pleased. Would definitely use him again
