AIS did a fantastic job and I could not be happier with their work. JT was entuhiastic and professional, and he had some great suggestions. For example, JT suggested using a different edge on my kitchen island in order to set it off from the other counters; he also suggested removing an unused microwave and did a custom tile pattern where it had been at no additional charge. He went with us to the stone yard and was incredibly helpful in picking our slabs and the materials for our backsplash. He made his suggestions respectful to our wishes and style. The work itself was top-notch; showing all the traits I had read to look for in high-quality granite work. There is only one seam in my entire (big!) kitchen, and it's almost invisible; the edges look great; the selection of where each slab was cut was chosen to best emphasize some unique patterns in my particular stone; overall fit and finish is excellent. The tile work they did on the backsplash was similarly great. At the time I hired them I thought maybe I could have looked longer and perhaps gotten a slightly lower price with someone else. However, based on my impression of JT and the excellent reviews on Angie's list, I decided that AIS would give excellent work for a fair price - the best value. I'm happy to report that is exactly what I got.

JT came out to my house right away to give me an estimate and discuss options. He had good ideas based on what he saw in my house and it's style. He really listened to what I wanted and what I liked. He showed pictures on his iPad to give me a better understanding of what my kitchen would look like. After deciding on the granite and tile for the backsplash, it was installed in about 3 days - electrical and plumbing too - a turn-key job. I also used the Angie's list coupon for AIS.

JT knocked it out of the park yet again! After doing a great job on our own granite counter tops a few years ago, we knew JT was the right guy to help tackle a surprise bathroom remodel for my mom. JT had a tight time frame to work within and all work was going to be done in a different town an hour and a half away! He worked tirelessly with me to help select the right materials for the job and schedule his crew to get the job done over an extended weekend. He was very patient with me through the selection process and made great suggestions that really pulled everything together. The crew was on-time and stayed on-schedule through the process. They came early and worked late (with permission) to make this dream bathroom remodel happen. Thanks to JT and his crew my mom's dream bathroom was waiting for her after her vacation. We can't thank him enough for making this happen and look forward to working with him again soon!

We needed to up date the kitchen in our old house which we are selling. We wanted to do a nice job, but not spend too much. JT, who is the owner, understood this and worked with my wife and I on something that would look great and not bust the bank. He even went beyond the scope of the work with ideas and suggestions on ways to improve our kitchen. He even had patience with our four children while we were looking at granite and backsplash mateirals. On top of that his crews were prompt, clean and did a great job. We are very happy with the result, almost to the point where we want to move back into our old house. I guess we should have updated the kitchen a while ago. The job took only two days, which was great.

Initially, my husband and I decided to check out Angie's list to find someone to install some granite on two buffet tables in our dining room. After meeting with JT in person we ended up remodeling the whole kitchen! This was not an easy decision for me because we had just bought the house and I had other things I was planning to work on first, but after meeting and talking with JT we both felt that he would do a fabulous job and we decided to give it a shot. From start to finish JT was always right there answering all of our questions and going out of his way to explain everything in as much detail as needed. I can honestly say he went above and beyond anything we expected. He personally escorted me around Houston to show all of the different variations of the granite and back splash available ( and a side venture to a wholesale door warehouse that I had wanted to see...nothing to do with the granite of course..lol ...thanks JT!) ....I was really amazed at how many different types of granite there were to choose from....when he noticed I was a little overwhelmed, he calmly reassured me that we could take as much time as was needed, and he really stuck to that. We settled on honed crema marfil backsplash and juperana granite that went beautifully with the design I wanted. JT coordinated everything on time with the granite, tile guys, plumbers and electricians?and made this a stress free experience for our family He really has an eye for detail and is always willing to share his ideas with you. What could have been a very stressful time ended up actually being FUN! JT and Rene ( his head fabricator) are an awesome team and we would not hesitate to refer him to family and friends. JT was always very easy to get in contact with and responded very quickly....which we really valued and appreciated. We absolutely LOVE our new countertops, back splash and island...couldn't be happier.....and what was really a nice touch was the follow up the JT and AIS provided...making sure everything was exactly as we wanted. We absolutely love our new exotic granite countertops and travertine backsplash. JT was on top of the job the entire time. The whole team was respectful to us and our house. We definitely would recommend JT and his team.

JT came out promptly and quoted me on my kitchen. He was the best quote I had received. When it was time to pick out my granite and coordinating backsplash, he was very patient with me. I went with his expertise and was not disappointed. The installers were knowledgable and accomodating. JT likes his work and it shows. I would definitely deal with him and his company again.

JT was first to respond and first to make an appointment. Very prompt and professional with an excellent eye for style and color. He listened carefully to my wife and I when asking exactly what we wanted and expected from him. Once the scope of the job was agreed to, we picked the granite and backsplash materials with his assistance. The job began within days and completed in 3 days. Quality of work and materials was excellent and we could not be happier with the outcome. JT was exceptional throughout and made a normally stressful situation very pleasant. We like what he did so much that we are planing a granite counter top for our bathroom and some wood floors for our bed room.

This remodeling project went as well as could be imagined. The crew was courteous and industrious, working well into the evening hours (after asking permission of course) to finish different aspects of the job. Jaison (or "JT"), the engaging and enterprising project/operations manager, was a hands-on leader in constant communication with us. He always sought our feedback and wanted to be sure that the work was done satisfactorily. Whenever there was a glitch, however minor, JT was responsive and had the crew fix the problem. Often the crew went above and beyond the normal duties, correcting issues that were not part of the work scope. JT would address any questions directly, without hemming or hawing, taking the time to answer all questions. He returned all calls promptly and courteously. A refreshing outlook to be sure. JT also has an eye for design and volunteers some excellent suggestions. This was by far the best experience we have had with a remodeling contractor. I would recommend AIS and JT without reservation.

He installed a granite counter top in the kitchen and two bathrooms. The granite had to be cut precisely and to an unusual shape due to the format of the kitchen and it all went well from the beginning to end.

After contacting a few different granite companies to provide bids on a remodel job, I was thrilled when I emailed JT and he wrote back. QUICKLY! He is extremely responsive, friendly and knowledgeable. Although I didn't end up hiring him to do the work (my contractor strong-armed me into using another guy he works with) I have zero doubt that JT would've done a great job. My deadline to get the granite was tight?a week and a half?but he promised he could make it happen, even if he had to work on his days off. I appreciate his attention to detail and get-it-done attitude. If things don't go well with the subcontractor, I will be reaching out to JT.

JT came to our home and provided us detailed information on exactly what needed to be done. He also has artistic vision which helped us select the perfect combination of granite and stone flooring for the kithcen and bathrooms throughout the home. He gave us the estimate immediately and scheduled the work the following week. The crew showed up on time and installed everything ahead of schedule. Everything looks beautiful and working with JT was a pleasure. Thanks. AIS.

From the day we called to schedule an appointment for an estimate through the very end of the project, J.T. was readily available for any questions or concerns, helpful in selections and design ideas, patient with our indecision, and just a lot of fun to work with. It was always important to him that we were completely happy with our selections and with his team's work. We did have a couple of problems during the project. Somehow there was a wrong measurement for a faucet handle, and we lost power to a couple of electrical outlets. However, in both instances, J.T. quickly resolved these issues to our satisfaction. We truly enjoyed working with him and will definitely use AIS for future projects!

JT is a great contractor to work with friendly, professional and just full of great ideas he gave me a lot of options when it came to the granite while everybody else wanted to do a standard bullnose edge he gave me a nice bevel!! only had 1 joint in the whole kitchen one thing that sets him apart is his help in helping me with the overall design that was a big plus for me!! seeing i was getting frustrated trying to make things match. I definitely will use AIS again in the future HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

JT did a great job from beginning to end. He came to our house to give us the bid and was able to provide an estimate that day. He also gave additional value by helping us to select the correct stone based on our personal preferences and the physical design of our kitchen. Taking time to make the selection turned out to be important and beneficial. We also visited his store where he had samples and setups of actual stone, backsplashes and faucets. This helped us to visualize what we would get in our kitchen. His crews were fast and efficient. They cleaned up their mess and also came out to do some additional touch up work that we requested promptly. His plumber also totally reconfigured our under-counter pipes and made everything look and work better. JT provided consistent communication and immediate response to all of our requests before, during and after the project. That is hard to find!

In preparing to put our house on the market, we decided to do a kitchen remodel to update the countertops and appliances. I was stressed out about everything from picking the right granite that would compliment the existing cabinetry to trusting contractors I didn't know personally to do quality work since "quality" often means different things to different people. Additionally, I wanted to make sure that the work was reasonably priced, especially since we are about to put the house on the market and wanted to make sure we can at least break even on the remodel. Thankfully, I had nothing to worry about. Everything went well from start to finish, and I would gladly recommend AIS Stone and Marble to anyone interested in installing granite countertops. We mainly interfaced with JT, the owner, and as soon as he saw the photos of our kitchen cabinets (which are a little different in color compared to the cabinets you normally see in updated kitchens), he recommended a granite stone that he thought would be the perfect match. And he was right. Although we went through the exercise of looking at other options, we ended up going with his original recommendation and the finished countertop is a perfect fit for the kitchen. In addition, JT and his crew were very responsive, timely and professional. Furthermore, JT gave us some helpful tips on other work around the house (i.e. how to make the cabinets and wood floors look better without spending a lot of money, etc.). And most importantly, when everything was said and done, we were very happy with the quality and look of the granite countertops and undermounted stainless steel sink.

First of all, let me say that working with JT, the owner, was an absolute joy! He is very attentive and responsive to any inquiries or worries and will accomodate your time and any glitches that are encountered. JT arrived as scheduled after our initial telephone conversation. I outlined what I wanted done and he showed me samples and we discussed the granite's edges, colors, the type of floor material and type of finishes for the faucets. The next week we visited the granite showroom he suggested and looked at colors and patterns. He assessed which type of granite patterns I would prefer after having seen how my house was decorated which was "spot on." The counters were the first thing to be installed which took longer than expected since all three were done at the same time. Martin, the plumber, came that evening to make sure that I had a working kitchen sink and then came the next day between jobs to install the fixtures for the other two sinks. He is a real gem! The floors took longer than expected especially since JT picked out this very nice molding which was installed even inside the pantry closet and around the walls in back of the refrigereator! The only thing left is to get a new dishwasher since the old one was ADA and there's a gap because of the new counter. Of course, JT is right there with me picking out the correct one with the correct measurements and color. Will provide pictures when it's installed.

My small kitchen was in desperate need of an update. I had had some foundation repair done so I decided that it was time to fix the damage done during the repair and completely redo the kitchen. I had been researching styles and materials for several months and was a little overwhelmed with the number of decisions that had to be made. I contacted AlS from Angie's List. My phone call was answered immediately and we set-up an estimate meeting the same week. Jaison was extremely professional, accessible, and helpful. He broke-down what needed to be done in a way that was easy to digest and not intimidating. Jaison understood the style I was looking for and made several suggestions that I had not thought of. He also had many examples of his work online and let me pick and choose what I wanted that was in my price range. He gave me quote that day and we made plans to meet the following week to look at granite and marble slabs. Jaison was never pushy or dismissive of my ideas. Nor did he just agree with everything I said to get the job. His suggestions were well thought out and I could tell right away that I wanted to work with him because I felt he was honest, knowledgeable, and we seemed to work well together. Jaison and I spent a morning looking at slabs and backsplash examples. After choosing a carrara marble countertop and subway tile backsplash, Jaison scheduled the installment the following weekend. His team was on time, neat and professional. The entire installation, including the replacing an old microwave, was completed in two days - exactly the time that I was told it would take. Everyone that worked with AIS seemed very skilled and trustworthy. The final product looked amazing. I am extremely happy with the work that was done and I felt that the price was more than fair. After I have the kitchen painted I am working with Jaison and AIS again to install new flooring. I would recommend AIS Stone and Marble to anyone. The work and the experience exceeded my expectations!

Overall, the experience with AIS was top notch. It started with my inquiry through Angie's list via an email to which AIS responded within 1 hour (on a Sunday, no less). I found AIS after reaching out to several other tile installers, some of them did not bother to respond, including some who have good reviews in this forum. I found JT and his crew from AIS to be very professional. JT came out 2 times to consult with us on tile choice, pattern, grout color, etc. before laying one tile, consultation that was very much critical to the success of the project given that we changed some earlier choices that I now believe would have ended with results we would not have been as happy with. Qualities such as work product, crew and concern for customers places JT and AIS at the top of my list when it come to satisfaction with all the various service providers i have used over the years. I will call JT first with all my future flooring and granite countertop projects.

JT & AIS- did a great job on replacement of our kitchen countertops & backsplash, sink, faucet, & bathroom countertops, sinks, faucets & installation of the guest bathroom tile...all at a great price.JT is very easy to work with and offered some great suggestions regarding increasing the size of our kitchen island & selection of the backsplash. He made every appointment time & was very responsive when called and kept me updated regularly on the progress of each project. He went above and beyond to to make sure we were happy customers. I would recommend him to my friends & neighbors!

We were updating kitchen and bath for our old house in Clear Lake Camino South before putting it on the market. Our realtor advised us that installing granite countertops was a sure-fire way of assuring the sale of our house. I did some investigating and got estimates and AIS was the best value. JT was a joy to work with; very professional. He helped me select the granite and explained exactly how the job would be done. He also designed a beautiful travertine backsplash for the kitchen. My trust in him was so great that I had no idea what the backsplash would look like until the job was completed and I was delighted by the finished product. AIS was also the best choice as JT had his own plumber to complete the job. Best of all the two countertops, new sinks and faucets were installed in two days (which of course included the tear-out of the old counter-tops). Not only were we pleased but our realtor was extremely impressed. We had told her the cost and she said she had no idea we would be getting such beautiful work for the amount we paid. Our new house already has beautiful granite, but if it didn't I would definitely call on JT and AIS to install new. JT answered all my questions; was prompt in returning calls; made good on everything he promised about the job from start to finish.

Working with J.T. was a wonderful experience. From the first phone call, he was personable, responsive, accomodating, and professional. My elderly mother wanted new countertops; however, making decisions and change are traumatic for her at her age. J.T. was perfect: patient, clear about what was happening, and he did his best to accomodate every request. He actually went far beyond what was required helping her with her sink in ways that were not part of the job. His crew is excellent - professional and considerate, and they did beautiful work in a challenging kitchen. The granite itself is exquisite. The clean-up was excellent as well. Every detail was considered. I highly recommend J.T. and his crew and will hopefully have a chance to work with them again in the future.

We would recommend JT and his crew without hesitation. We were scheduled to have work done and had to rescedule at the last minute because of a death in the family. JT was very understanding and rescheduled as soon as we were ready. We met JT at the warehouse to choose granite and his advice and help in selecting the right granite kept the experience from being overwhelming. There were so many beautiful choices. He also suggested and designed the backsplash which looks fantastic. I changed my mind about the faucet after it was installed and JT had no problem changing it to what I wanted. The crews was always on time and very courteous and cleaned up as they fiinished their part, which was great. The work was done in a quick and professional way, which meant we had our kitchen back very quickly. JT took pictures and the result was so beatiful he already has requests for three bids with our design and materials! That says a lot. Thank you for a beautiful new kitchen.
