Terrible. My husband came home unexpectedly ( I was at work) & discovered they were laying the shingles with NOTHING underneath (no felt or paper, etc). The bid included several items such as the peak venting, but were NOT installed until we pointed out they had not been installed. The roofing shingles were installed very unevenly & a year later we have places that POUR from the roof when it rains, places that look uneven & the seam between the house & the covered patio leaks like a sieve. My husband ended up staying with them MOST of the time they were here to be sure nothing else was left out which we would not be able to see when they were finished. There were a number of other problems but this is the general idea. To 'top it all off' when they tried to haul off the load of old shingles, the tires were flat on the trailer & their truck would not start-they worked on it for hours in my driveway. Mr. Harris had seemed like a nice enough young man trying to make a go of a business, but this is NOT the way to get repeat clients.

First, they started the job three days after they had originally stated, and only after the condominium association president told them that if they didn't start the next day, the contract would be voided. Then the final payment was withheld until Harris Roofing provided the windstorm certification that was included in the contract price. The windstorm certification was finally provided more than a month later. But it wasn't the actual certification. It was a provisional certification, and it was not readily apparent that it wasn't the actual certification. The engineer would not issue the actual certification because Harris Roofing had not paid the engineer. James Harris is not returning phone calls; Curtis Ramirez, his foreman is not returning phone calls. And the condominium association cannot buy windstorm insurance without the certification. Not quite fly-by-nights, but certainly not professional and businesslike.
