+ -1 moreAfter 4 years with this unit that was installed . I have had 6 coils 2 compressors 2 dryers 3 capacitors. I was sold a junk Goodman 4 ton unit. Watch what they sell you because you will spend thousands of dollars just trying to up keep your ac. I still have 6 years of warranty and will probably go buy a complete system elsewhere. I have paid for 2 complete systems with the money I have spent repairing this junk unit I was sold by Global.

+ -1 moreOur unit stopped cooling the house so I called the abovementioned air conditioning company to come check the unit and told us that it probably needed to be replaced. It was 11 yrs. old and used a type of refrigerant that is now banned by the EPA. He had a small amount of the refigerant and said that it might work for a while longer if he recharged the unit, thus giving us a little more time to save up for the "new" ac unit. He recharged the unit and all is fine for the time being. A "new" unit is in the near future for us.
Description of Work: Checked condenser, re-charged with freon.

Roland Perez, the owner of the company, answered the phone and made an appointment to come to our home to give us a quote. He was punctual, very professional, and friendly when he arrived. He said that we would need some electrical work done in order for him to do the installation and he made arrangements for an electrician to come out to determine the extent of the electrical work. The office staff at Global AC were excellent about keeping us informed regarding the arrival time of the electrician. Mr. Perez came out with the electrician and again was very professional and friendly. He took the time to explain exactly what we would need and promised to deliver the quote to us in order in a timely manner. We are very pleased with the Company and look forward to doing business with them.

+ -1 moreDryer wasn't performing well, taking 3 cycles to dry up a load. 2 other local shops were contacted. One didn't show up, the other said they couldn't find anything wrong. Paid a subscription to Angie's so we could get a "good" one. He shows up, determines it's a clogged exhaust pipe, which he doesn't deal with it, as it was too much of a hassle. Charges the "inspection" or whatever fee. Cannot recommend persons who would deal with it. Ended up fixing it by using a vacuum cleaner.

Description of Work: The service request was for a change of an air conditioner motor. The service was professional and completed in a timely manner. A/C repair is expensive. However, this company was reasonable, compared to other companies. The service personnel were neat. I will more than likely call Global A/C for future maintenance checks on the A/C's.

+ -1 moreHe replaced the condensing unit on our old air conditioner. He put in a 3/4 horse power motor in when it should have been a 1/4 horse power motor. A few months after he replaced it, my air conditioner had issues. My bill also shot up. I asked them to come back out and he said that I would have to sign a disclaimer saying that they were not responsible. I had to have a different ac company come out to work on the duct system. I would not use or deal with Global again. They have the Lennox logo on their website, but I called Lennox and they said Global is not an authorized dealer.
Description of Work: He replaced the condensing unit in my air conditioner.

+ -1 moreEmailed owner Roland Perez at 7:00 p.m. regarding my central a/c quitting. He immediately replied and said he would have a workman out the next morning by 9:00 a.m. and that the workman would call prior to arrival. I received the call from the Service Manager, Rolando Ramirez, at about 8:45 a.m. the next morning saying he was on his way. He arrived prior to 9:00 a.m. and was extremely professional from start to finish. He diagnosed the problem quickly and had everything in working order by 10:30 a.m. I couldn't be more pleased with every phase of this process. The owner, Mr. Perez, even dropped by my home to introduce himself. I will definitely use this company again.

Description of Work: Global AC & Heating removed the old air conditioning unit and condenser very quickly and effectively. They replaced it with a new air conditioning unit and a condenser. We also purchased an air purifier from them.

+ -1 moreExcellant next day service. Very professional crew with a neat installation. The office staff was great to deal with. The crew showed up as scheduled and stayed until the job was done. They accepted the Angie's list coupon. They told me that the unit came with a 10 year parts and labor guarantee, but what I did not know until the paper work arrived, was the guarantee is valid only if I have an annual $69.00 inspection.

+ -1 moreGlobal A/C and Heating was quick to come out and service my unit which was not operational. They diagnosed my 11 year old unit and showed me the burned compressor. Mr. Perez showed me the brochures of the new equipment available for replacement. He also explained the benefits of changing out my old system with a new 10 year warranted A/C system and informed me of all the rebates and discounts I qualified for if I changed out the system. I decided to replace my system A/C. Global A/C technician Eddie was our primary technician at my residence. Eddie was very courteous, professional and efficient during the installation. It has been a very pleasurable experience and also note worthy that they came out to Service and replace my system during the peak of the holidays and a day before New Years Eve. Exemplary A/C Company and team.

Description of Work: On the morning of November 22, 2010 I awoke to a hot quiet house. I walked around the house to see if the other rooms were hot. They were hot so I went to check out the thermostat setting to see if anyone had moved them. It was set correcty and I then proceeded to open the closet door and checked the filter. To my dismay the filter was clean. I realized then there was something wrong with my air conditioning unit. I then panicked because it was Thanksgiving week and all my relatives were visiting from out of state. What terrible timing for this to happen. It was two days until my whole family would be seating down to cut the holiday turkey and to celebrate the Thanksgiving Holiday. I had offerered my home as the place for everyone to gather because I had just purchased a large dinning room table to sit everyone down to eat together during the holidays. I called my co-workers to ask them for an ac company.My immediate family memebers started to give me advice on different air conditioning companies that I could also call. I pulled out the phone book and started calling different ac companies. No ac company anwered their phone. I left several messages and no one returned my calls. After lunch one of my school teachers friend suggeested I go to Angieslist.com to see if we could find a reputable company to help me in my dire situation. My friend and I noticed a company by the name of Global AC and Heating, this company had many great reviews by angieslist members. I called that company crossing my fingers and suddenly I heard a live voice on the other end of the line. The person who answered the phone was Roland Perez, he was the owner of the company. After speaking to him for several minutes and explaining to him my dilema. He calmly stated to me that he would come over to complete the service call at my residence. To my surprise an hour later, Mr. Perez was at my residence as he promised to complete the service call. Mr. Perez professional inspected my ac system, the inside and outside. At that time he showed me the condition and age of my equipment. After Mr. Perez patiently and thoroughly explained all my options to me and my guests I decided to replace my outdated equipment. Mr. Perez assured me that he would be here the following day with his crew to complete an installation of a complete ac system at my residence. I was skeptical at first but pleasantly surprised to answer the door bell at 8 am the next day to greet Mr. Perez and his technicians from Global A/C and Heating. They then proceeded to professionally install my new ac system.

They showed up to work on time and finished ahead of schedule. Thats what I like from a service company. I spoke to the owner, Roland Perez, and he was very professional and told me he would be at the residence within an hour and twenty minutes. Mr. Perez arrived on time and started to work immediately. He was extremely knowledgeable and had found the problem within 10 minutes. Mr. Perez repaired the system and inspected our A/C thoroughly before leaving. The entire time he was here he explained everything he was doing and gave me tips on how to prolong the life of our unit and on how to save on energy costs. I was extremely satisfied with his professionalism, knowledge, experience, and customer service. I would definitely recommend his company and will continue to do business with him in the future.

+ 0 moreSalesman pushed pretty hard. Made me believe I would get a $1400.00 rebate. I did everything I had to do - but did not get rebate. They said the state ran out of money. He said he would try again, but never got back to me!Update: I paid complete amount of $4628.66 in two checks, and was instructed to call 877-780-3039 on April 7th for $1400 rebate. I tried many times, all day long. Always busy. It was cut off at 3 pm. Talked to Jessica and Roland, no satisfaction.
Description of Work: Arrived on time, took old unit away, installed new one. Put in new thermostat & made sure everything worked. Explained how to turn on/off.
