Description of Work: I called Speedy out on New Years Day because my heat was not working. They came out on the same day & had my heat working within 3 hours of calling them. The problem was with my electrical panel not the heater, but they were able to make the repair & did not charge me a huge amount for calling them on a holiday. I will call them for any future work I need. Thanks

Description of Work: Just bought this house and had numerous issues with my A/C. Speedy A/C worked through and resolved all of them for me. I really appreciate their dedication and prices about half as low as everyone else I called. After buying the house I discovered the A/C was not blowing cold air. Warranty company sent Speedy. Speedy performed diagnostics on the A/C unit, checked cooling levels and examined all sub-systems. They discovered I had extremely dirty air filters which were causing my A/C coils to freeze up. I replaced air filters and waited 1 day for coils to unfreeze. Still no cold air. cost $60 competitor wanted $80 Speedy came out performed diagnostics on the A/C unit, checked cooling levels and examined all sub-systems. Now that coils were not frozen they discovered I had rust holes in the coils and my Freon was leaking out. Within one week new coils installed and more Freon. Cost $1,300 competitor wanted $2,800. After two days I realized I did not have enough cold air blowing in key rooms. Out comes Speedy does tests on air flows and determines ductwork was not designed and laid out properly (too much air going to bathrooms and closets and ducting too small of a diameter to main rooms). Speedy fixes / replaces ductwork and now everything working and we all have blankets when watching TV. Cost $250 Competitor wanted $1,600

Description of Work: Are there NO honest A/C folks anymore?? Isn't it remarkably frustrating not knowing whom we can trust?? I refuse to just distrust them all, but my gosh, some certainly make one want to, don't they? Through my home warranty company, I was matched with Speedy Electric and A/C for my regular A/C check-up/maintenance. We spoke by phone, we scheduled an appointment for today, between 8a - 11a, a THREE hour window in which they could arrive. The also said the would call 30 minutes before they arrived. At 10:30a I called them to find out how things were progressing. (that would be the last 30 minutes to call and still arrive by 11a). Their receptionist explained that no one was scheduled to be at my place today. That there was a message in their notes which said, "I didn't know my schedule and would have to call them back." A true statement, when they first called. Then when we spoke the second time, with my schedule in hand, we SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT. The challenge is I very much knew my schedule. That why I set the appointment with them, and took off the 3 hrs (plus travel time) that I've use to wait on them all morning. There were no apologies, and no resolution. They said I could continue to wait, or I could reschedule for another 3 hr window some other morning. I did ask them how we would handle the compensation for MY time, as my time is valuable, just like theirs. They said that would not occur. I inquired if I would be expected to pay them, if they had spent 3 hours working at my house. The answer of course was yes. I guess I'll spend another 3 hrs waiting on the check from them to reimburse me for MY time. I have called me warranty folks and asked them to remove Speedy Electric and A/C from their vendor list. The warranty manager is to follow up with me later today. I WILL NOT USE SPEEDY ELECTRIC and A/C AGAIN! My experience has left me frustrated, having used up vacation leave, and now facing more work to catch up on. PLUS, still need to have the A/C serviced! No apology or offer of resolution. How remarkably frustrating!
