Thirty minutes later, Josh, the AiRon repairman, arrived. He first looked at the thermostat and then went up into the attic. Within minutes the ac was back on!!! I went up in the attic and asked him what the problem was. He told me that the door to the unit had not been put on correctly nor was it resealed. He also explained that the door holds down the on button inside the unit. Because the door had not been put back on correctly, it was just a matter of time before the door vibrated away from the button. Josh checked the rest of the equipment upstairs and then checked the condenser. In his opinion, the condenser had not been cleaned and the inside box to check the Freon and capacitor was also dirty and held a spider web. Josh checked the Freon level and it was too high so he drained some of it. The capacitor was operating at a ?75? instead of the manufacturer?s recommended setting of ?80.? the AiRon repairman, looked at the thermostat and then went up into the attic. After the AiRon repairman left, I called Speedy and informed them that another company had come out and fixed the problem. I requested a refund since it was obvious that no tune-up had been conducted and in fact, Speedy caused the problem which required me to pay a service call for another company to come out and fix the ac. The office manager, Crystal, said that they could not refund the money because they do not receive any funds. Crystal said that Angie?s List gets the full amount and the company receives nothing. I left a message for the owner to call me back. Several hours later Brian called me back and also refused to give me a refund. I would like for Speedy Electric & Air to refund the amount I paid for the tune-up and to reimburse me for the cost of the service call from the other ac company. Total: $99.

Ok first of all, it was two guys for ONE hour, not two hours of service for the flat rate. I wish I had known that! Still, they did a thorough inspection of the wiring in my old house, and explained how to mitigate some safety issues to me. I learned how to use my socket tester and hot stick to detect wiring issues. They also removed some dangerous DIY wiring in the garage that the previous owner had done, and created a working outlet for my deep freezer. I really liked their informational approach to service, and they answered all my questions as we did the walk through.

They weren't able to find the shorts and said I could schedule more time, I chose to go a different direction

They were great. They absolutely knew what they were doing. They were very quick and completely on time. They were in and out. It was done, and it was perfect. It was a great value for very good service.

The two electricians were very nice. Very honest about what needed to be done, etc. They didn't have time to finish, so we will be having them out again to complete the work. There was one switch that we need to find (I had never heard of a 4-way switch) before they come back.

Overall this went well. They were incredibly responsive and was able to schedule a next day appointment. After inspecting the unit they added freon and fixed the leak that resulted in the freon leak originally.

He was very good. There were no extra charges to the Big Deal.

I had found Speedy here on Angie's List and had called the provider to get more details on one of their deals. They were extremely helpful so I looked forward to dealing with them in the future. Over the Memorial Day weekend, the outlets to our washer and dryer stopped working. Considering we have only been in our house three weeks, survived a burst pipe, all I wanted was clean clothes! I called and left a voicemail around 9am on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. Austin called me back within the hour and asked me some questions about the issues and then said he would be happy to come by after his current customer. He was upfront in the service fee and potential cost. He arrived just as promised and not only fixed those outlets but addressed two other outlet issues based on what he saw in the breaker box. I cannot say how appreciative I am!! I will definitely be calling Speedy for the other electrical jobs we have to do at the new house.

The guys went above and beyond to remove our ancient and super heavy furnace from the attic and replacing it with a new one. We are happy with the results and we have cool air again!

Company was very honest, and very dependable and professional. They spent almost one hour looking at my A/C which was great! Mark and Everett came out and did a great job. They had a checklist of everything that they did on the invoice, and the The A/C system was operating properly.

Called them on Thursday, the owner, Brian, came on Friday to provide estimate of work. The actual work crew came out on Monday to start the job. Kenneth and Everett were the two persons that I had most contact with. They were very courteous and kept us informed about what was going to be needed. They went right to work as soon as they sized up everything they were going to need to proceed. Everett was the tech that worked under the house and he took pictures of what he installed and we thought that was a very good touch. He even emailed them to us. Very good idea, especially since the work was in a very tight crawl space, I never would have been able to get to the actual area where the vent fans were put in. Kenneth was the tech that was installing a new breaker and doing the wiring for the sump pump and installing a new GFI plug for it also. He was wonderful technician and knows his profession extremely well, we asked a few questions and he was always ready to answer our novice questions, I say this because my knowledge of electrical know-how is about enough to get me fried to a crisp if I attempted any of that type of work. He was kind enough to not make me feel like a real doofuss. Speedy electric did a great job and we thought their pricing was very fair. Their work was outstanding and we will put Speedy on the speed dial from now on. If you need a professional electrician I recommend Speedy Electric very highly.

These sound like normal jobs, replacing a ballast in a fluorescent light and replaced a faulty GFCI outlet in the bathroom. However, a prior handyman couldn't fix them after replacing parts. So I thought it was a bigger problem. Overall, job was done, it was done right, and quickly. Thank you Speedy! Can you do federal taxes that well too?

Cons It was my day off and the only one I had with many things on my to-do list. The appointment was made a week in advance and was set for the 9A-1P time frame. I had planned to be around the house in the morning so this worked well. After Noon I got a call to say the window had moved to 2 to 2:30. I then got a call that pushed the appointment from 3:30 to 4:00. My day off was ruined by waiting around. There was one thing I had to do away from the house and so I contacted the company to tell them I HAD to leave the house to do something and I might not be back when the technician arrived. I ran my errand and received no less than 6 phones calls and messages from three different women who were calling every minute or two on both phones telling me the technician was near or at my house. They never told the technician I had to leave the house and would be back shortly. Too many people calling too frequently and too little communication with all the phone calls. Pros When the technician finally showed up he was very pleasant and very professional and went about his business and did a thorough job. After his review he went over all the measurements and a ranges to let me know the health of the system.

They put in some interior lights over the counter. They did a great job. They were only here for an hour and they did a good job.

I had purchased the Angie's Deal for Speedy Electric & AC for $99 for electrical work. The deal was 2 people for 1 hour's work or one person for 2 hours of work. I got a quick reply when I signed up. I spoke with a very nice young lady to set the time and they were able to accommodate my schedule easily. Monday morning I got a phone call telling me when the young man would arrive and Mike came when they said he would be there. He was very nice, professional and personable. He was able to take care of my "list" of items in a short amount of time and left the places he worked clean and tidy. I really appreciated his kindness and help.

I purchased the Big Deal coupon and they were able to schedule me just a few days out. The electrician came to the house, installed the light fixtures, and that's it! They all work great. The schedulers were also very helpful, and helped me talk to one of their master electricians about another issue.

He and his helper arrived late, but the dispatcher lets me know ahead of time. He and his helper worked quickly and efficiently. They discussed options with me and actually told me something was snot cost effective!!

Quick, efficient job. Very pleased with the work, and he cleaned up the workspace when finished. Would use them again.
