Speedy Electric & AC

My experience was great. There were two electricians doing the work. I had no problens with scheduling. They did a good job.

I had purchased a big deal for the service, and it was fine.

We've used Speedy Electric and A/C once in the past and it was a good experience, so when our air conditioner stopped blowing cold air we called them again. The technician who came out noted that our filter needed to be changed and the unit needed to be cleaned, both accurate observations. He then tested the capacitor and said that it needed to be replaced. He went to the truck to get a different one, installed it, and turned the unit on. The compressor did not turn on, and his judgment was that it needed to be replaced, to the tune of $2200. He further suggested replacing the entire unit and provided a quote for approximately $2800. He was professional and courteous throughout the visit. Here's the problem: because this was such a large expense, we called out a second company to get another opinion. Their technician arrived about two hours later. Within 10 seconds of opening the unit, he saw a wire lying there disconnected. This wire attaches to the capacitor and without it the compressor would not function. The technician from the second company connected the wire and the unit immediately turned on and began cooling. As to the original problem, he theorized that the unit may have overheated and having it turned off for most of the day gave it a chance to cool down and begin working properly. Still, he took off the panels and cleaned the coils thoroughly, and tested all elements of the unit to be sure there weren't any ongoing problems. His visit was more thorough in general than the first one had been. Speedy's technician seemed like a nice guy, and it is entirely possible that the wire was left off by accident. That's the best case scenario, but it's a best case in which an error in professional judgment very nearly cost me $3,000. The worst case scenario is a much more disappointing possibility to consider. Either way, my trust in Speedy Electric & AC is shot, and I consider the cost for the second company's service call to be the best money I've spent in a long time.

Overall the service was good. We purchased the deal for one hour of service with two electricians. The new light fixture was very heavy and difficult to install, but they were able to hang it without damaging anything and get two other projects done. Our old house has some strange wiring and when we noticed an issue with the switches the following day, they came back out to fix it at no additional charge.

These guys did an awesome job! Very pleased with their work and they did it in a very Speedy time frame! The work they did was great and they even found a potential hazard in the attic which they secured. Was very pleased with them and would use again! I will be using gain for some other projects in the future.

They didn't show up at all for the first appointment. When I asked for a manager to call me to discuss – they never did. I expected to receive some form of good will for not fulfilling their obligation, but I didn't receive anything.

They did a great job! I am remodeling my bathroom and in order to get everything working (we took out a wall with electricity) they had to think outside the box. Now I have an additional outlet and everything works great!

The front light still was not working. I called them back and they said they would have to charge me again to come out. I am not happy with Speedy Electric and they did not come back.

They were fantastic! One seasoned pro and one trainee arrived on time. I had purchased an Angie's list special deal for one hour two people. When they arrived they explained what any overtime charges would be and were very upfront about that. Together they got everything done exactly within the one hour which was completely amazing, cleaned up, were pleasant and worked nonstop. I give them top rating for their work.

the technician quickly diagnosed the problem then because he was the AC specialist and didn't have the electric part needed to fix the problemin his truck, he left to go pick up a part, quickly installed it and ensured that our ac unit was operating. He also installed our replacement filters as he was checking the other units. GREAT SERVICE! We would definitely use them again.

After the light was hung it needed to be cleaned due to dirt and fingerprints. They wouldn’t do it because our time of 1 hour had run out. It would have taken 5 mins -- This would have been a little extra work to add some value and show good customer service. They just didn’t want to go back to truck and get the ladder again.

My experience was great! They were good at communicating with me. They addressed all my questions I had and cleared up any confusion I had. Scheduling an appointment was great.

Went very well. This is the second time I have used this provider, and they did a great job. Always concious of the time so they don't go over.

Mother called Speed Electric & AC about bad wireing in AC. Mark and Stephen came out the same day. They found that we didn't have bad wireing and they replaced some AC parts. They gave mother a discount, and mother paid $423.

Two technicians arrived on-time. They were clean, polite, and professional. I will use Speedy Electric again for A/C service.

It went fine. Scheduling was very easy and there was nothing to it. Their employees are good, very courteous, and on time.

Great job, great service. They came on time and did additional work. They installed the security lights and add the security cameras on short notice. They worked quickly and diligently. They cleaned up when done and the best thing is that they explained the whole process of what they were going to do and how much it cost. Again, great service and great job done.

Great experience, they were in and out in a little over an hour. We are very pleased and plan on using them again in the future.

Everett and Junior were very professional when they arrived and went straight to work. They live up to the company name "Speedy." They were very helpful by answering the electrical questions I had and even made recommendations on what would best fit our needs for future repairs. When they looked at the attic fan, they showed me and explained why I needed a new replacement. They even called their company immediately to check the price and availability so I could plan ahead. I would definitely recommend Speedy Electronics & AC to anyone who needs electrical work done and ask for Everett and Junior, they were very friendly and efficient at their job.

It went well . Verified the connection. Corrected wire connection that I had miss connected about no more than 45 minutes
