I wanted to run wires from two locations to the Alarm Junction box; install 240W power outlet garage; replace door bell. A team of 2 electricians showed up on time and went through the requirement assigning priority given the time and money paid. They spent close to 20 minutes learning what I need and talked to their boss for another 20 minutes. They informed that they will not be able to perform the work as the wires are for Alarm but gave a quote for $350 to fix 240 W power outlet and door bell. The reason for not doing work is "did not want to take risk". I was not pleased with the answer and decided not want to give them job now or in future, since they don't have confidence in what they do. The two men were polite in their conversation.

They fixed one of my light problems. Since I had more time, I asked to install a ceiling fan. They stated they were not able to due to not having enough time and tried to charge me an additional 75 dollars. They started the work at 10:12 and walked out the door at 10:42.

It went terribly wrong. I communicated with the company before they came to do the work. I told them exactly where the fireplace was and what I needed done. When the technician arrived he looked at the job and said he needed to go to Home Depot to get more materials to do the work. He took almost an hour at Home Depot and came back only to tell me that he needed even more materials to do the job. By now over an hour had passed, and when you have 2 hours you only have 2 hours. So if they spend 1 hour at Home Depot you paid them to shop. It does state this in the coupon offer and I believe they do this because they know this will eat up the time you paid for. In the end the technician called his boss and explained what he was trying to do and his boss told him that they couldn't perform that kind of work because it wouldn't be something they could do right within the given time. Wouldn't you have figured that out before when you looked at the job and went to Home Depot and took up an entire hour of the time I paid for???? I had plenty of switches and outlets to be put in that I had on hand and ready to install. I didn't realize I was calling an electrical company to install simple things....I needed something above my skill set done. In the end for my 99.00 I got frustration and one pendant light switched out of an already existing fixture. Wow what a bargain! Speedy Electric is making money rapidly from offering a bogus deal of 2 hours for 99.00 if you want switches and fixtures replaced this is a great deal for you. If you want installation of electrical in your house where non currently exists....call a real electrical company.

I do show where you gave notes to the dispatcher about wanting an outlet installed on a fireplace. The dispatchers can only set the appointment & send out the electrician, they do not know if or how the work can be done once the electrician is at the job-site. Our electrician found that the outlet was not able to be installed due to you having a full brick fireplace on the first floor of a 2 story house. We did give you other options of running the outlet with exposed pipe, which you declined due to the way it would look. We do not have any notes on the work order or the technicians invoice about needing additional switches installed or we would have certainly had that work done and not used the time trying to figure out how to install the outlet you wanted. We do show that we installed an entry fixture for you so it would not just be a wasted service that you purchased. We do apologize that you do not feel like you got value for the coupon you purchased. We would always recommend that customers call and schedule an estimate to have any non standard electrical work, such as adding circuits, looked at to see if the work is possible before a coupon is purchased or service is scheduled.

It went amazingly well. The service people arrived within the reserved time window. They worked quickly, efficiently, and very well. Two rooms that they worked in had floors that had just been refinished. They were careful not to damage the pristine surface. My wife and I were very pleased with the results. I would rate them A+ in all categories if I could. I have one word of advice for anyone hiring them or any electrical contractor. Things can go remarkably well, if you are prepared for them when they arrive. We had the various tasks we wanted them to do laid out in advance. The fixtures we wanted them to install were placed conveniently close to the work sites. We cleared the work sites before they arrived and we had a clear idea of the sequence of things they were to do. With that preparation, they were able to work quickly and efficiently.

Two technicians from Speedy Electric came on time and they were very professional. They visually inspected it and since it is tied to a Jacuzzi mentioned that it was a plumbing problem and something that the electricians cant fix. But ultimately the 2 hrs of labor cost was charged and the Jacuzzi remained untouched.
Description of Work: My Jacuzzi had an electrical problem, where every time I turned it on - the GFCI resets and shuts off the power supply. So I purchased a deal thro Angie's for Speedy Electric for 2 hours of labor.

It took much longer than I had anticipated, so the price went from $135 to $305. The guys were very professional and pleasant to work with. It was nice to have all this electrical work already done by the time my husband got home, so he didn't have to do it. They did a great job and we couldn't be happier. Will use them again.

It went great, he showed up early and finished the job in a very short time. We purchased 2 hrs of time with an electrician and he had everything done in a little over an hour, so we were going to have him rewire a light fixture but it would have taken way too much time to re-route all the wiring in order to do that and it would have been very difficult to get to the light fixture in the ceiling. We were very happy with the service and would definately recommend them for any job.

The first visit I used a 2 hr. (changed to 1 hr. for 2 people) special, and they were so fast, it was incredible! However, after they left, found out one of the lights had the sensor on the bottom, and when it was installed, the sensor was facing the wall (with a previous company, they told me there would be that problem BEFORE installing it, and I got a different light). Also, that night, I found another light, which had worked when they installed it, was not working once it got dark. I called the next day and they sent two different guys out. They did replace the one light with another, and did extensive troubleshooting on the one which was no longer working. There seemed to be a big question of where the switch for that light was, which had not occurred the day before, nor with any other electricians in the past. He was taking the switch plate off, fiddling with an entirely different light, looking for a another switch, and I had doubts about his skills. This is taking a lot of time, and since I asked for another light to be fixed, I was now paying by time increments and they were no longer quite as speedy. Finally the electrician working on the troubleshooting said there was no power going to the outside light which had just worked the day before, and they left! I called the manager and told him I had doubts about the electrician's skills, and he said the person had trained him and seemed insulted. He also said he would talk to them and get back with me. It's months later and I'm still waiting. If I could have just gotten a reason why it stopped working, I wouldn't be so disappointed.

The first technician that was sent out replaced (4) flood lights, (1) ceiling fan (1) ceiling fan light kit & repaired a plug in the master bedroom. Your invoice states that all the items were working at that time. You called back for service a week later for an additional light in a closet that had a short in it. Sometimes it can take longer to track down & repair a short than it takes to just replace a fixture. We also show that he replaced one of the outdoor fixtures that was defective with another one you provided. (You were given the defective one to return for warranty where you purchased it.) Our records show that we did not charge you for replacing the outdoor light, only for the repair of the closet light that was not on our original scope of work. We do apologize if you feel like this second repair took longer than it should & would be happy to discuss it further if you would like to contact us off line during normal business hours. Jerry and Sergio arrived at 1:55 and left at 2:38. They replaced all of the light fixtures and they look great! They asked me if I wanted the old fixtures and I told them I wanted to keep two of them. They took the rest. They were very professional. I will be using their services again.

I was disappointed with the lack of communication about my appointment. I had called on Monday and booked 2 appointments for Thursday (one for AC and one for electrical). I was given a time frame of 10am to 2pm. I was told that I would receive a call the day before to confirm my appointments. Since I did not receive a reminder call on Wednesday, I called Thursday morning to confirm my appointment. The dispatcher could not find my information and agreed to investigate and call me back. She called back within a few minutes to let me know that my technicians would be arriving between the time frame originally set up. This was confirmed with a text and email to me stating that a technician would be arriving between 10am and 2pm. I heard NOTHING until 3pm when I received a text stating that my technician was on the way. I do understand that appointments run late. However, I would have appreciated a call around 1:30 or 2 stating that the technician was running late. I would have likely rescheduled. However, there was no communication at all until one hour after my appointment window. I was very disappointed with the lack of courtesy, especially since my appointment information was "lost" and I had to spend some time taking care of that in the morning.

My first service with Speedy Electric was a positive experience and I was very satisfied with the service and value received. However, this appointment did not go as well. I was expecting two hours of electrical service but instead received two technicians and one hour of service. They were on time and courteous but unorganized. 80% of the time was spent changing out outlets/switches and only 20% on trouble shooting the “no power to outlet issue”. In the end it was not resolved. Also, when technician was changing out the plug in the master bathroom, he damaged my custom vanity causing dents in the wood veneer. I was very upset when I uncovered the damage. As requested by Speedy Electric I completed the Customer Survey and followed up with a phone call to their office. The manager was unaware of my survey and said he would call me back after he had time to review it. He did not call me back. This type of disregard for customer service is unacceptable. I am very disappointed in the overall professionalism and quality of service received by Speedy Electric.

Original work order says "install homeowner provided outlets & GFCI. Materials in home. " We installed materials as requested. The work order did not say "No power issues" . Electricians were not expecting to look for cut wire issues. We did the work as requested with the materials provided by the homeowner. No vanity damage was mentioned in the follow-up response, and not mentioned to the manager. Also, there were no pictures provided. We replaced the outlets & switches as requested. No refund due. The service turned out fine. I paid a couple of hundred which might be a little pricey for what I got even though it was on a coupon. To me, it was still pricey even though it was a coupon. I do not think it should be expensive for what I got. I like that they had a checking deal that told you when they were on their way and where they were. That was kind of neat and so, I worked as it worked and I could see when they are coming. The cost was a little more than what I wanted to pay for. Maybe, I would not use them again because of the price.

We were so pleased with their rapid response because my husband is a cancer patient in ill health and a "hot house" atmosphere didn't help him at all. While all this was going on we had 6 family members visiting for July 4th during this time. Brian and Jennifer are caring compassionate people who genuinely care about their customers, THANKS Brian and Jennifer.
Description of Work: Our 5 ton AC compressor quit working on 7-2-16, Sat. of July 4th weekend. We chose Speedy Electric and AC from a list of 5 nearby providers sent from Angies List. Owner Brian and his wife Jennifer came out first thing Sun. morning, quickly determined problem, and went after the new compressor. Returning very quickly, they rapidly and expertly handled the new installation. New unit replaced original equipment 14 years old. New unit should be more energy efficient and should help with lower electric bill in future.

Installer arrived within the designated time frame and was courteous and professional. He removed the old ceiling fan and installed the new one with no issues and did it in a timely manner. The technicians were professional. Howevr, I was told by the woman answering the phone when I called to confirm the time that the technicians would be there between 11 and 3, but closer to 11. They arrived a bit after 3pm. I wasted time waiting. A call from the office saying they were going to come later would have been appreciated.
Description of Work: Repaired connections for two light fixtues.

Called to get electrician to come out as my house has no power. Told they could come out in 4 days! I explained again that I have absolutely no power and could they have someone come out today (calling 1st thing in the AM...) and was told again, they can send someone out in 4 days... Not very responsive and certainly not keeping with the company name. No apology made by them, just said "we can come out in 4 days"... Do not recommend.
Description of Work: Called for electrician to come out and repair burned wire causing whole house power outage.

We are sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations. There are times when our schedule is extremely booked, and we can't possibly work another call in. It would be even more unfair to you if we added you to a schedule, knowing full well we would be unable to run the call. By letting you know how booked the schedule was, we allowed you to have resolution to your issues faster. I certainly apologize that we were not able to help you in your time of need. We only have a set number of trucks and employees, and can only handle a certain amount of calls a day. I hope you were able to have the work completed by another provider.
