I will give them an “A”. I had some problems with them but I didn’t have to check with them. I just paid the $39 big deal. They were prompt. They did what they said they will do. He answered questions I had. He was very professional. They will do what they say they will do with the quoted price.

My only problem is that they seemed put out to get a permit for a certain portion of the job. If we hadn't known we needed a permet due to my husbands job, they would have installed the junction with out it being inspected.

We had scheduled for the Service representative to be here on Thursday during the afternoon. (2-6pm). I had called to inform the company that we needed to take our grandson back to his mother and might be a little later than 2pm getting back. The company said that was no problem because the service rep. was running a little late anyway and to expect them arriving after 3pm. We got back from our trip and we received a call from company that the service rep. was in Richardson and on his way to our house. Upon their arrival, (two service reps.), they mentioned there would no problem in installing the 2nd fan, just the same fee. They immediately got to work; one in one room, the other in the bathroom. I told them if they needed anything to let me know. In a matter of thirty minutes they were finished. They had completed the requested work and helped straighten things back to the way they were, plus showed true professionalism by keeping to task and not bothering the rest of the household. I would definitely recommend this electrical service company again. They were courteous and efficient while keeping busy and not getting in our way. Very good job. Thank you.
Description of Work: Installed one ceiling fan in a bedroom, then replaced and installed another ceiling fan in front bathroom.

Overall, I'm happy with the service at the price. They sent two people. One of the workers was extremely diligent and was able to figure out the issue with my outside outlet. He traced the out the electrical wires and figured out there was a test switch that I did not know about. The second person suggested installing a new outlet and he was less helpful. Overall, they fixed the issue and I was happy with the service.

The electrician came out a couple days prior and checked out the ceiling fan and wall switch and found both to be bad. I purchased a new fan and switch. I put together the new fan and had it ready for the electrician to install it and change out the wall switch. He and his helper did a great job in around one hour, the fan was in use. Thanks! Great job!

Despite a major scheduling problem (I was told the electrician would meet me after I got off work around 5PM, but they showed up at 3PM and left their card)...I called and the rep initially said they couldn't accommodate me. However, after explaining my frustration that the original arrangement wasn't followed, they were able to send someone out within the hour. Excellent work by Jerry and his assistant. Courteous, professional, he really knew his stuff. Very quick work and extremely helpful in explaining why I had a problem with the breaker in the first place. Great job!!!! Thanks!!

It went well. They came under a Angie's list deal but the work we wanted went beyond that. They made us an honest deal and did good work. They left a plate off one of the outlets but otherwise it was work well done and they appear to be trustworthy.

I purchased a Deal for 1 electrician for two-hours work or 2 electricians for one-hour work. I was never given the option to choose which option I wanted and as it turned out 2-electricians showed up at the scheduled appointment time. My plan was to have them move some wires in my wall which was partially demoed due to a kitchen remodel I was going through. After they surveyed the situation they told me they could not do what I was asking. I was disappointed of course but since I had already paid for their services I found a couple of other tasks that I had planned to do myself, rewiring a ceiling fan and replacing an outdoor security light, and had them do this instead. One of the electricians appeared to be either new or in training and the other the more experienced or journeyman. At one point the jourmneyman disappeared while the other was putting up the new light in the driveway and when I went looking for him I saw he was in his truck talking on his cell phone. So I told the other electrician that I wasn't paying for partner to sit in his truck and talk on the phone, and he went to their truck to retreive him. Cell phones as we all know are a great convenience, but I have found more often than not when it comes to service providers in general doing work for me they are an annoyance. Too many times the person I am paying by the minute/hour end up answering calls or making unrelated calls on my dime. Overall I was satisfied with the work they accomplished during the hour they were here and would use them again in the future. The company however should coordinate with the customer and determine whether 1 or 2 electricians are wanted/needed.

Thank you for your review. There are many reasons why it is necessary to routinely send 2 electricians on a job. First and foremost is safety. When dealing with electrical work, occasionally, accidents can occur, and having another trained professional on the job is important. If there is a shock to the electrician, they need someone who understands how to remove them from the charge without injuring themselves. Safety for the homeowner and the electrician has to be our primary focus. The other reason is that the job before or after yours might have required both men for the job to be completed. When we send them out in the mornings, we have to take into account all of the calls that day. Occasionally, we need to be able to send one electrician on calls alone, so the coupon states that it is either/or. Either way, it is two man hours that we usually bill at a higher rate. Our standard rate is one man for $100/hr, or 2 for $150/hr. Cell phone usage is necessary for our business, but is occasionally misused. We are fully aware that they can be distracting, and cause problems, but they are also how we in the office keep in touch with our service professionals in the field. It is very possible that he was on the phone with office personnel. With that being said, we push our employees to limit their cell phone usage. Initial problem in communication with dispatcher quickly sorted out. Team showed up, went to work. Resolved two of three problems, efficiently. Determined capacitor or fluorescent fixture appeared to be out of production. Recommended replacing fixture.
Description of Work: Replaced GFI outlet. Traced and corrected fault on 220V feed to clothes drier. Trouble shooting on bathroom fluorescent fixture.

When the inspector for the buyer came out to the house 1 month later he said that the temperature deferential was off by 10 degrees and that all the ducts going to both air conditioners were broken loose and all the air was going into the attic. He said it looked like they had been that way for quite a while due to the dust on them. I called Speedy Electric and got the runaround and they said the spring check only covers a visual check. They said that the home warranty wouldn't have covered that work. I told them he should have seen "visually" the duct work was off and his deferential should have been off. They should have told me what repairs needed to be done and I would have paid them while he was there. Now I have moved out of the house to a town over 2 hours away. I put a lock box on the door before I left and gave Speedy the code to get in June 23. They said they would call and tell me what was wrong and get approval to fix it. I never heard from them. I called the 972 number office the next day. The receptionist that answers their phone is not a very bright bulb. Maybe she's a relative of someone there. I asked her if they had gone out to my house and she said yes they had gone. Then I asked what they had done and she said "whatever the inspector wanted". Then I asked how much it cost and she said she didn't know. I asked to speak to Jennifer and she said she was on the phone. I asked to have Jennifer call me back and she never did. I called again the next day and asked to speak to Jennifer and the girl said she was busy. She told me the price and read off the invoice what they had done. I gave her my credit card and asked for an email receipt of the invoice as proof for the buyer that the work had been done. I didn't get the receipt. I called again Friday and asked for a receipt. Here it is Monday June 29 and I still don't have a receipt. I don't really want to drive to Midlothian to get it. This could hold my closing. I called a minute ago and got voice mail. I would never never ever use these people again.
Description of Work: I am selling my house. I called them to come out and do a system check on both my a/c's on May 4. The charged me $89.00 (special that my home warranty was running) and everything checked out perfectly. The temperature deferential was great, cooling good, looked good.

Jason & Sergio were very professional, they showed up fairly on time (maybe 15-20 min late), got promptly to work and completed all items on the work order in time. the quality of work was good. they also gave a written estimate for another follow-up installation which i need.

There was a broken wire in the wall that affected a circuit in my den. Ceiling cans, fan, and several outlets were not working. Mike and Johnny re-fed a wire from the attic to the den. The work was completed in a timely manner and both Mike and Johnny were professional and knowledgeable.

The lady was really nice when I called and set up the appointment. She asked me what needed to be done, and I told her that I had recently moved into an apartment that had a dryer connection with a 4 prong outlet, and my previous home had a 2 prong outlet; therefore, my new 4-prong cord that I had just recently purchased needed to be wired to my dryer. I told her that I was a member of Angie's List and that the deal was for the services to be provided for $99. She told me that they would be able to do the job for $99., and I thought it was a fair deal. The appointment was scheduled with, as I recall, a 3-hour window. The electricians showed up within the window of the time scheduled, and they were nice; however, the job only took them a few minutes to complete, and they told me that if I didn't use the $99 coupon deal from Angie's List, it would have only cost me approximately $50. Well, when I initially called that lady to schedule the appointment, she should have disclosed that information to me!
Description of Work: They switched out (re-wired) the two prong cord for a four prong cord on my electric dryer and hooked up the connections.

The Angie's List deal allows for any electrical work you need done up to 2 hours of labor. In this case, the two men were able to finish the job in a shorter amount of time. I am not sure which man informed you that we could have done this call for only $50, but they were mistaken. We would have charged at minimum a $69 service call to come out and do the work. With the remaining time, they would have been more than happy to complete any other electrical jobs you needed done. I am sincerely sorry that you feel like you did not get your money's worth at the time of service. Work was completed without any glitches and clean up was quite satisfactory. Two days after work was completed I noticed that the light installed in the closet flickered even when the switch was in the Off position. Speedy sent the installer out early the next morning and after investigation determined that the switch ( which I provided ) was defective and replaced it with a new switch which he provided. Total cost billed for second trip $3.00. I was quite pleased.

It went well...I provided some accessory parts which I was hoping they would have had: like drywall wall screws(not meant for ceilings) and 1 one toggle bolt(I only had one handy...wish I had two). Was concerned about the non-ceiling drywall screws, but the lights are holding on. So wish they had the ceiling toggle bolts in their truck. One guy didn't want to do thermostats, but his partner went ahead so both then did them. Excellent value.
