The service records show that the compressor & breaker did fail 2 weeks after the initial spring tune up. We are also showing that the technician indicated that the electrical surge was caused by a recent storm & advised you get your homeowners insurance company involved. Jonny & Junior called prior to arrival of a prior established time. These two young men were polite, professional and very knowledgeable of their tasks. They didn't waste a minute and got everything done within my time allotted for the "deal" I had purchased. I would recommend Speedy Electric to anyone needing electrical needs, but be sure to ask for Jonny & Junior - they are the best!
Description of Work: Replaced 1 chandelier, added 1 ceiling light/fan, replaced 2 ceiling lights in utility and closet. Bid a future job of adding 2 light fixtures in closets.

Two guys showed. They went to work efficiently. Managed to get all 3 projects completed within their time limit. Best of all, my husband was delighted with their work!

My only complaint was I purchased two electrician deals, $99 for 2 hours so I paid $200 for 4 hours, at the same time. When I called to schedule I explained the above and that I wanted to combine them. The lady on the phone told me that was fine, but when the guys arrived they said no, they cannot be combined. I had to call & re-schedule for another day & the vendor wouldn't allow me to have the guys come out to do the same thing I was having done that day, which was kind of silly. I.e. I was having plugs replaced, and they said the next time had to be something different they couldn't finish a previous job - which is inconvenient, as I have a lot of plugs and we didn't get them all completed. Other than that, the guys were polite, knowledgeable, & did a good job.

They were very friendly and prompt. A/C was good condition and no problem was found, according to them. However, a week later, I had to call an emergency a/c service because it was not working. Condenser was replaced. It was a 20 points A/C tune up but didn't explain what 20 points they are checking on.

Thank you for taking the time to review our business. At the time of your tune-up, the technician reported the following: "Filter is clean. Evap coil and drain line clean and clear. Freon levels are good. Home has a 20° split. Capacitors are good. Amp levels are moderate. System operating properly." That being said, during the middle of the summer, when A/C units are running at full capacity, electrical components can fail without warning. At the time of the service, the unit was functioning properly. The details of what is included in the 20 point check are on the coupon, and all items were covered. We understand that a failure of the A/C unit during such hot weather is frustrating, and are sorry you had to go through that ordeal. After we installed a new light fixture in our dining room a while back, we had lights and outlets stop working. We called Speedy to come out and fix them because we have used them for other things in the past and were very pleased with their service. Once again, they proved to be an excellent choice. When they arrived, they quickly found the problem and went about fixing several outlets and switches. They were done within an hour and were friendly and professional. We will always call them when we need something electrical taken care of.

Job, purchased on a one hour deal, took no more than 20 minutes. That was my mistake. Electrician could have used the remaining time to fill in a small gap resulting from a size difference between the old and new fixtures.

Justin arrived on time and with all the needed equipment. He was gracious and patient in explaining issues. Made a list of items needed and made helpful suggestions about upgrades, if desired. He was very thorough and when he left we felt confident that the electrical issues had been comprehensively addressed.

Service provider arrived promptly. I needed an outlet (2-duplex) put in the garage. The electrician looked at the materials I had on-hand (outlets, box, and cover) and politely informed that the electrical box was not the correct one but he had one which would be $10. He quickly installed the outlet in the exact place I wanted and it looks great. I asked him to check my outside outlets as they were not working. He was able to show me where the reset button was for my outside outlets. Once he hit the reset they worked and he stated that the reset was all they needed. It has been a week since the visit and now the outside outlets AGAIN are not working even though the reset button has been pushed and the circuit breaker has been checked. I called Speedy and explained the situation and they are sending someone out to check the outside outlets tomorrow. I'll see how much they charge for the follow-up service to see if I am still as happy with their performance.

Electrician traced circuits and found that two circuits were mislabeled and that three circuits had the incorrect breakers installed - He then installed the correct breakers and relabeled the electric panel. The electrician was very knowledgeable and professional.

Thank you for taking the time to review our business. In looking at the history of your service, I see where we came out on the 28th of July for a check up on your unit. At that time, the technician reported that everything was functioning normally. All systems were operating properly at that time. We were then called back out on the 6th of August because you were having Air Conditioning issues. It was at that time that we found a capacitor had gone out. This is a very common failure during the hot summer months. The failure of a component of this nature can not be foreseen at the time of the tune-up. When temperatures are higher, and the A/C systems are working harder, this happens regularly. We came out, replaced the component, and restored the cooling in your home. Again, the failure of this item was not something that we could have predicted at the time of your tune-up. When the problem was noted, we were able to get you on the schedule, and come out actually earlier than the scheduled time, and get your system up and running. Please know that we are apologetic that your capacitor failed, but are pleased that we were able to take care of your needs. The outside lights were fixed very quickly as there were some cuts in the wires and they were able to just put some electrical tape on them and boom they were done. The ceiling fan in the master bedroom posed quite the issue though. We had to have them come out twice before we finally just went with a different switch. It's not exactly what we wanted but we got it working and the tenants who live there now are happy with it. They were one time, very professional, and I plan on using them in the future for our properties.
Description of Work: We needed them to make the fan in our master bedroom work with a dual switch. We also had some random outside lights that needed to be fixed.

I had high expectations and they exceeded them. 4 times in a row with great service. I have pre-purchased a 5th service. Relax and call them.
Description of Work: Checked complete HVAC system. Checked Main Breaker box. Added freon. Checked Thermostat and condensation pump. All of this on an emergency call when the unit went out on a 104 degree day . They came out on the same day I called at 2:00 pm. I have used Speedy 4 times and have purchased a 5th service. They are VALUE.

Dispatcher called ahead of appointment time to ensure someone was home and notified us the team was on the way. Two young men showed up and split the assignment one working on the outside and one the inside. I asked about a potential plug in the bathroom and they attempted to install but we ran into framing issues they couldn't resolve. But we are contacting a carpenter to resolve and will have the electricians return. In and out in under 2 hours.

They fixed the problem, BUT.... then, those same circuits quit working! So, they came out again, at NO extra charge, found a second loose wire in an outlet next to the first one. Now, everything works GREAT!!! The second guy was friendly just like the first--not unhappy he had to come out. A very good experience! I recommend them.

I originally purchased an Angie's List Big Deal from Speedy for 2 hours of electrical, labor at a cost of $99, with the intent of having my dining room light fixture moved. The technicians arrived and were very personable and knowledgeable, and after some discussion, I decided that I really wanted to remove the fixture and add LED can lights. After showing me their price list and agreeing to apply my $99 Big Deal to the new service, we made an appointment for the following week (7/14). I could not be home during the day, so I left my door unlocked for the technicians. I have a smoked glass dining table and wooden credenza in the dining room, To protect the the furniture, I covered both pieces with thick bed sheets and removed everything else from the room. My appointment was from 9-12:00. At around 3pm, a Speedy representative called to let me know that they would not be able to make it that day, and we rescheduled for the next day. The technicians called the following day around 2:30 to let me know that they were at my house ready to begin. They also called at around 5:30 to let me know that they finished and had tried to clean up as best they could. When I arrived home later that evening, the first thing that I noticed was that the cover has been completely removed from the credenza, and that both covers were balled up in the middle of the glass dining table with most of the glass exposed. I picked up the covers, and underneath them on the glass table was a sheetrock cutout from the ceiling with a long screw sticking out of it. Closer examination of the class top table revealed fine scratches across it's entirety. I emailed Speedy using the information I found on their website and explained all of the above. For 2 weeks, nobody replied. On 7/27 they called me for payment, for which I gladly gave them my AMEX information, and then I explained all of the above a second time verbally. I was assured that someone would get back to me, but, as of the writing of this review, no one has. I really wanted to like this company, because I have other work that they could do for me. However, they don't seem to be forthright or have much common sense. I covered my furniture for a obvious reason, Why would they remove the covers? Further, it's seems from the damage to my glass top table that it was used as a work surface. Again, common sense would tell most reasonable people that this would lead to damage. The work was o.k., except for the 5 holes in my ceiling that I was left to repair. Buyers beware. Supervise this company if you decide to hire them, and don't expect that steps you take to protect your property will be respected.

Situations like this one are why we typically will not service a property without the homeowner present. When we arrived, the table and credenza were indeed covered in cloth. When the electricians completed their work, they closed up the covers on both pieces of furniture to avoid additional debris from falling into the floor. They never used the table for a work surface. Per the homeowner's email, he found the debris within the drop cloth, which further substantiates our side of the story. Since the table was covered upon arrival, we have no way of knowing what condition the table was in prior to our visit. We have spoken with the electricians that were on site, and they deny using the table in any manner. They simply closed up the cloths to prevent a larger mess. At this juncture, we feel that we are not responsible for any damages that are claimed to have occurred during our visit. Obviously, it would have been counterproductive for our electrician to do damage at this residence if he were trying to bid for future projects. We are standing behind our electrician's word. He is seasoned, and is one of our best, most honest men. This is unfortunate that it has gotten to this point, but we appear to be unable to meet on common ground with this homeowner. Again, it is for this reason, we typically require the homeowner to be in attendance at the service appointment.
